OneShell released for PSP/PSVita
Developer Davis Nuñez Just released Beta 0.3 of his promising Shell for thePSP: OneShell. OneShell runs through gdljjrod’s OneLua interpreter, and is compatible with the PSP Vita through PSP emu hacks such as TN-V and ARK.
OneShell 0.3 – Features
OneShell 0.3 ships with the following features and apps:

- File Explorer
- Command Line
- Picture Viewer
- 3D Objects viewer
- Music player (supports at3, mp3, wav, bgm)
- Picture Editor
- FTP Server
- Text editor
- app installer
- Archive file extraction (ZIP, RAR)
- UMD Dumper
- Homebrews/iso launcher

CustomProtocol report that an annoying bug exists in this version: closing a given app will then open the previous app if that one was still in the control bar at the bottom of the screen. Hackinfirmer report that Wifi features are not available on the ARK eCFW. It is also worth mentioning that ONESHell is currently only available in Spanish it seems, although the app should be intuitive enough that you don’t have to know Spanish to use it.
Overall OneShell is a very promising little interface for the PSP and the ePSP on the Vita. One thing you’ll want to understand is that although the creator uses popular names and icons for some of his applications (e.g. “PPSSPP” for the iso launcher, “winrar” for the archive extractor,…), these are not actual ports of the apps on the PSP! The iso launcher is directly reusing the binary launching functionality of the PSP, and the Archive extraction is probably calling directly into some of OneLua’s archive features.

Why hack PS Vita??????
what do you mean?
He means that all the hacks are pointless unless you don’t mind staying on old firmware and missing out on new releases. Sony probably made the Vita the most secure consumer grade device ever.
you know they did that cuz everyone gutted the psp to the max
More likely : Why dwell on the past, that being PSP, instead of focusing more resources on PS Vita… Seeing possibly more time and resources being diverted to projects like this, with all respect to their makers, makes me feel disappointed.
Because lots of people still own and love their psp and love homebrew more than vita owners
FIRST
More like BLIND?
hackinformer* not hackinfirmer just wanted to notify for the mistake 🙂
If this is what I think it’s like…
It would be awsome to see if they can turn a vita into a mini computer with cell phone option so that I can game and use it as a phone with wireless head set.
I would really like to see PS Vita working as a cell phone 🙂 I don’t know if it’s possible but if it is, it would be awesome 😀 Maybe even with Android? 😛
With 3g vitas this would be so cool. Any use of the 3g or gps radios in hb would be cool, as a proud gimmick pleb.
Tried it 😀 working fine , thou some apps dosent open on my PSV using TNV
anyway its awsome 😀
Hackinfirmer report – Ctrl+Enter wont work?
