Rebug 4.76.1 REX/DEX Released
PS3 Owners rejoice, as he hinted a few weeks ago, Rebug developer evilsperm just released Rebug 4.76.1 for PS3 owners.
This new release of the popular custom firmware no supports Blu Ray/DVD Movie playback in Full DEX mode, which wasn’t the case until now. Other changes include an update to Cobra Payload 7.2, an update of the Rebug Toolbox.
The Rebug CFW also gives users access to the PSN/SEN from their hacked (lower firmware) PS3, that is, until Sony release yet another firmware update, which has a tendency to happen pretty soon after the Rebug releases.

What’s new since 4.75.3?
- Cobra payload has been updated from 7.1 to 7.2
- (Minor bug fixes and improvement)
- REBUG toolbox has been updated from 2.02.07 to 2.02.08
- (No more issue with mamba payload due to syscall 8 handling)
- Full BD/DVD movie playback support on FULL DEX mode.
- (Unlike previous REBUG REX/D-REX CFW, now you can watch BD/DVD movies on both kernels!)
- Host IP address display on DEX mode.
- (Same as normal DEX OFW/CFW)
What is Rebug?
Rebug is a CFW (custom firmware) for the PS3. It provides QA Support, Firmware Spoofing (for PSN access), and everything you could expect from a CFW. It’s considered to be the most professional and stable CFW out there.
What is Rebug Toolbox?
According to the official site, “Rebug Toolbox is an application designed to complete the full function of REBUG REX EDITION firmwares. Besides from performing the CEX/DEX EID0 and LV2 Kernel Swapping it is also an FTP server and is packed with a bunch of other useful tools.”
In other words, Rebug Toolbox is a series of optional tools to make the Rebug CFW even beter

Nice.Now just release CFW for PS4.Im sure it can be done by now.Stop *** about piracy.Most of you pirate your music by downloading it illegally.By downloading it free off some shady website instead of paying for it. So stop pretending to be a angel who never steals anythings thats ***! Everybody steals eventually and sadly a lot of people arent aware when there doing it. There is nothing that can stop piracy forever absolutely nothing!Also f**k Linux like more than 80% of people owning a PS4 dont give a *** about Linux but a lot would like to run CFW on there PS4.Its ours we paid for it we should be able to do whatever want with it.Why do they even cry about piracy?Only a very small percent of PS4 owners will ever jailbreak there device.Games are over priced at least $50-$60 for one game alone and another $50 or$60 for the DLC.That is whats sad.The gaming industry makes billions every year even with the systems being jailbroken and allowing piracy and there *** about piracy?Doesnt make since to me.

Is this better than Habib? I don’t have much experience with CFW and Habib 4.75 is what I’m on right now.

Rebug is the best IMHO
But they are also the last to update so you wait a bit longer but it’s all quality
Does it have a decent backup loader?
Has cobra built in, you just turn cobra on in the toolbox (normally off by default for some reason) then put your iso’s in the relevant folder and they just appear ready to mount in the XMB
So is this the Full 4.76 DEX Firmware that they got their hands on that evilsperm hinted to release in the near future?
Will there ever be a softmod possible again? Im nog good at hardmodding. I dont want tot break my device

Hopefully someone is sitting on something and just waiting until Sony won’t care enough to patch it. The PS3 is really close to the end of its life. But I don’t know who that’d be, if anyone. :\
E3 flasher is extremely easy to use, just remember to buy thermal grease to replace the *** sony use, once you pull it apart it doesnt go back right, ps3 will overheat

Yes. Also no CECH-3XXXX+ support.
@ Zeke yeah you have to be on OFW 3.55 but i think you can buy a PS3 Cobra ODE for PHAT, 20xx, 21xx, 25xx, 3xxx and 4xxx its like $83.95.us
Whys that there s no cracking the PS3 Super Slim and yet there is scope for the next gen consoles PSVita & PS4? Is there no webkit exploit? No one exploring Kakaroto’s ps3xport method?
