PS Vita: Dumping files without limitation
Note from Wololo: This tutorial on Dumping PS Vita Files without limitation was initially published by /Talk member niszczycielnpc, as part of our monthly tutorial contest. niszczycielnpc won the November tutorial contest for the PS Vita (a $10 PSN code) with this entry. You can find the original post here.
Note: There is also a simpler version for dumping PS vita files between 2MB and 16MB from OperationNT.
Hello in this tutorial I will show you how to dump files with any size you want. I recommend dumping only bigger files with this method.
Requirements
- First you need QCMA and PS vita on 3.52 or below.
- A database browser, I recommend “DB browser”
- Mozilla thunderbird.
- You also need to download my files here.
Dumping your files
Ok so first you install my mail.db by sending it to vita just drag&drop it on thunderbird and rename to:
“\..\..\..\email\message\mail.db” on vita open attachment and after error close email app.
Next you install my special music database “All musics will be deleted so I recommend to make backup”
Drag&drop music.db on thunderbird and rename to
“\..\..\..\mms\music\AVContent.db” Now you need to install it just like mail.db above
Now you need to send email with subject as path to your file EXAMPLE: “gro0:app/PCSF00007/PSP2/data.psarc”.
Then you drag&drop my special “#1” file to your email.
You can send it.
Now you open your mail with file you want to dump in vita and click right on forward button.
“click circular arrows and then third option”
Now you need to wait if your file is big.
“You will see blank window with make mail text”
When its done and you see edit window you can close email app.
Now we need to dump mail.db via my music database
So you go to music app and dump “mail.db” to your pc “it will be on bottom”.
When its dumped mail.db file will be in “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Music”
Open it via DB Browser and go to “browse data” and then choose “DT_MESSAGE_PART”
Go to the bottom and look for file name, It will be “\\..\\..\\..\\pspemu\\PSP\\SAVEDATA\\DUMP\\fileyouwanttodump”
Now right to it you have “file path” so it will be “ux0:email/message/00/00/xx.Part.2.dat”
Let’s say its 25.Part.2.dat so now we can dump our file.
Now look for 25 in music app and dump it “If you get error then you did something wrong”
*** your file is dumping great work ![]()
When its dumped it will be “25.Part.2.dat” so you only need to rename it to what name it was.
Thx for mr.gas for ideas and to OperationNT who helped with triggers and finally find way with me to dump files after some weeks (It was very difficult with these triggers xD)

{✅} Smashing work.
Cool
Hey guys . I need a help with psvita hack trophy. When i make all changes in local_trophy.db, write it and rebuild database the percentage show the correct information that i filled, but when i start the game, its clear the status to 0% again. How to fix this? This blocks me to upload the trophy to Psn.
One you can’t upload trophy data on an firmware that is capable of EML file hacks so there is no point in trying. And secondly of you did do the hack then go to 3.55 with hacked trophies just to upload you are just asking to get an account ban.
I just wanna know what im doing wrong because when i start the game all process goes to 0%. i dont care about ban…
I’m trying to get this to work but I always end up with a 0 byte .dat file.
I don’t understand this part:
“Now you open your mail with file you want to dump in vita and click right on forward button.
“click circular arrows and then third option”
Now you need to wait if your file is big.
“You will see blank window with make mail text”
When its done and you see edit window you can close email app.”
For me, the forward screen is never “blank” when I get there. Granted, I don’t think the file I’m trying to dump is very big, but considering I don’t have to wait there at all and there’s zero bytes in my dumped file, I’m thinking the file I’m dumping doesn’t even exist.
email:send?attach=gro0:app/PCSE00120/sce_pfs/files.db
That’s my subject line. Is the email:send?attach= part necessary? Should there be a period at the end of .? I’m at a loss.
Sorry for not answering your question but how do you get to see this path:
“email:send?attach=gro0:app/PCSE00120/sce_pfs/files.db”
the vita ftp isn’t loading up.
Looks like the Vita scene is slowly gaining momentum.
At turtle speed
what this tutorial can do? is this the trick for dumping vita card game?
If you could somehow dump current title updates for games so that us 3.52 peeps who can’t update can dump them to our filesystem, that would be pretty cool tbqh.
It is running on firmware 2.60?
