“Free” Playstation Plus games for any region
Note from Wololo: This tutorial was initially published by /Talk member Brandonheat8, as part of our monthly tutorial contest. Brandonheat8 entered the October tutorial contest with this entry. You can find the original post here.
NOTE: You must have a valid Playstation PLUS subscription from a region, doesn’t matter which (MOST LIKELY YOUR HOME REGION)
STEP 1 : Make or use a different region’s PSN account that you have (IN THIS CASE I’M USING MY JAPANESE ACCOUNT) and login.
STEP 2: Go to Application Save Data Management on the PS4 under Settings
STEP 3: Go to Saved Data in Online Storage 
STEP 4: You’ll see two options, the top option is a 2 day free trial to PLAYSTATION PLUS (NOTE 2: CREDIT CARD NOT REQUIRED TO WORK) 
STEP 5: Go to the PLAYSTATION STORE of that region (IN THIS CASE JAPANESE) and download as much free PLAYSTATION PLUS content, games, addons, whatever you want (IN THIS CASE MY EXAMPLE IS HATSUNE MIKU PLAYSTATION PLUS THEATER)
STEP 6: Now that you have those downloaded to your system if you play the content on a NON PLAYSTATION PLUS ACCOUNT you will be greeted with this on the main menu of HATSUNE MIKU 
NOTICE THE “TRIAL BROADCAST” Instead of “COMPLETE BROADCAST” but as long as the account is a PLAYSTATION PLUS ACCOUNT it will show the “COMPLETE BROADCAST” 
Meaning that you can use the content on your home region
STEP 7: PROFIT…. so pretty much you can see when the 2 day trial is worth it to you, download all the games and content you want, and be able to use it on your home region (as long as your home region has a valid PLAYSTATION PLUS ACCOUNT) and yes Addons work as long as the game is not different from its other region counterpart (I downloaded Guilty Gear free playstation Plus addons, and it worked on my American Copy of the game.

Will this work on vita? If so, how would I do this
Unfortunately this does NOT work on Vita since you cannot have multiple accounts on there, but in theory if someone was able to try out getting the 2 day trial of playstation plus, download a free vita game to their vita and try to start the content on a different account, but that would take the email trick and a lot of other stuff to pull off to see if it works.
well it can.(with ethe mail trick and 2ps vita memory cards)
put the plus account on a ofw ps3, then do memory card swap trick(just removing 1 file) and then switch memory cards and then proceed to put the plus account on the ps vita
Exactly what I thought was needed to make it work, we’ll thats awesome, a lot of steps but still awesome.
doubtful, since the vita only allows you to have 1 profile without doing a factory reset. that would mean there’d be no way to link your foreign license in a way that can be recognized on your us account.
Am I missing something here? This just seems like a “How to use PS+” article.
This allows for PS4 users to get playstation plus free games and content from any other region, even if you yourself don’t have PLUS, you can just keep creating more and more accounts and take advantage of that two day trial to download those playstation plus games and content from another region.
I would not advise this because you’re using up the number of accounts you can make on a system after which it will throw you an error saying you’ve exceeded the number of times you can make a new account on this system. How do I know? On PS3 it’s the same where I kept creating fake account on jail broken PS3 to play online until I got that message. The only way to prevent using up your system token is to create a new on pc and use it on your on ps4.
This lets you use for example JP ps+ titles with a US ps+ subscription
This has always been possible, most people should know it already, especially anyone using this site, not sure why a tutorial for something that is very well known was needed.
Do you ever contribute anything other than crappy comments? I know you think you’re hot *** in the scene, plagiarizing stuff for ps3hax and all, but we could do without your self-assumed know-it-all status and superiority complex.
I did not know about this, I was always envious of Hong Kong PS+ lineups as a Dane.

so you have to download it to your system, otherwise you cannot download it anymore if the free ps plus expires?
Actually you can still download it at anytime, just tested it right now, it just won’t run as a full game or not run at all unless the account running it has Plus.

Is HATSUNE MIKU PLAYSTATION PLUS THEATER still available in November for jp ps+? I’ve been searching (quite blindly) for a few hours with no luck. I can only seem to use the english keyboard for the search function which doesn’t help me greatly >.<

After two days you can still use the content with your primary profile or the game is blocked?
You can always use the same profile every month or you have to create a new account every month?

As long as your primary PSN account has Plus, yes you can use the content.
Ok thanks, i asked because in the content information says “valid period (end): 19 November 2015” when i logged in with my ps + account.
Or if your account doesn’t have plus you can create another account, use the trial and have access again.
Ok this is silly you cant own the download as you always need ps plus and for anyone that has ps plus and tries another region wont be able to get the plus offers from that region.
Well if you already have plus on your main account, and create another region account, use my method to get the Playstation plus free trial, download the free content and login to your main account that account will still have access to the plus content.
Doesnt work for me after the 2 day trial is up my main uk ps+ account states the licence has expired
Big fail, tried this with IGC for November and December, especially Rocket League. After the 2 trial days passed, rocket league was locked out, even though my primary account has ps+.
What about PS3?

Ok, I’ve got a question…
I have an expired US PS Plus account, but due to high dollar price, I’m migrating to a Brazilian account, so I can still play online. If I get this 2 day trial for my US account and subscribe the BR Plus, will I be able to download my old Plus games? And the ones I already have installed (expired status), will they also work?
Other question: does this method also works for PS3 games?

In theory yes, you’d keep your USA account on the system, get the 2 day trial, download the games, and be able to run them after the 2 days are over on your PLUS BR account.
No, you can’t get free trials in accounts where you already had a PS Plus subscription… Can’t do this.
At first look, I thought this tutorial will teach you how to download PS Plus games without subscription 😛
This doesnt work it says ‘Only the users who hold a license can use the content’ when trying to launch the game from main account

That is normal, that is only the “time limit” of the original account that downloaded it meaning the account that had the two day trial can’t play it after that time is up, but your Primary plus account can.
When I log in in my japanese PSN account, I get a lot of japanese text. When I clicked through all of them, I get a message which says that I can’t log in with another persons account. Then I#m getting logged out 🙁
Can I still access the content with my home region ps+ account after 2 days if I delete the foreign region account? If not, I’m afraid there will be a lot of accounts in my PS4 after several months…
I just created a completely new account with new email on the Japanese PSN but the only PS+ Subscriptions available are 1,3 and 12 Months without the option of any free trial. Tried PS3 and PC Browser. Am I missing something or did the free trial of PS+ got removed already ?

Not working, when the 2 days expire the content has been locked for my principal ps+ account and he says: “impossible use the content, the license is expired”
Made jpn account and got 2 days trial but in the store the games aren’t whats supposed to be there, Thief ect. What is shown instead is batman add on, Final fanatasy X soundtrack, rocket league ect. o.O

Not working for me, when the 2 days are expired, the content are locked on my principal ps+ account, the error message says: the licence are expired, you not load the game, bought it on playstation store. I try this on Thief game on HK psn+ account.
BAD NEWS EVERYONE, IT’S COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT FULL GAMES ARE NO LONGER WORKING. My full games are no longer working as well, Sony may have patched it, my apps such as Hatsune Miku , and my final Fantasy soundtracks still work just fine, but all of my full games have suddenly stopped working, this just means you’d have to keep creating accounts to play full games unfortunately, I’ll report back if anything changes.
If u create a japanese account u can have always 2 weeks of PS PLUS for free by submit your credit card then remove it, and u are ready to play with any account on your console if u put it primary under account options. Profit !

I have thief sitting on ps4 from my asia account, the ps+ on it has expired, but it wont run on my main uk account with ps+ either. it says the licence is expred
Yeah it seems full length games are no longer working, but DLC, playstation plus exclusive apps, soundtracks , etc is working, just not full games.
