    At this point it seems like gateway has stopped focusing on new 3ds support :/

    • Anon says:

      I think it’s more the fact that they can’t. We need the 9.6+ encryption keys in order to support EmuNAND 9.6 and above, which haven’t been leaked yet.

  2. Anon says:

    The final paragraph about brick code is presumably aimed at the DSTwo+ which features a ‘Gateway emulation’ mode i.e. clones the Gateway.

  3. RyoX says:

    been waiting for this update just dont get the cheat codes part. must be some sort of protection to prevent users from copy cards and might end up bricking 3ds.

    Hacker,i you love only love!!

  5. Franky says:

    I have a hard copy for every 3DS game I have on my Gateway. I just want to play my way. Gateway seems just as evil as the company behind the handheld their cart is for IMO, but if it’s the only way to play fresh dumps of my games then, k.

    • MarSprite says:

      I don’t have a current gen flashcart since the only game I need is Monster Hunter 4. That said, I had one for my DSi XL. I recall how nice it was to carry one cartridge in my system rather than settling on one game or carrying 20 little cartridges around.

  6. Binebina says:

    Beware. This update breaks playing retail game cards in classic mode.
    Also starting cias can cause a black screen (never happend on older GW launchers)
    So I’m back on 3.4.1.

    Wondering if there will be a Code Listing in the Forums. Also, what Codes are in the Release? Doesnt say what Games they are, just numbers and 2 have a Letter in them like
    0004000000111B00.txt
    0004000000062300.txt
    As for the Bricking, it is for that DSTwo+ which doesnt even have N3DS support yet apparently. Not to mention, if when they do get N3DS Support, it would remove the MSET 4.5 Exploit.

    • Alteration says:

      They are the TitleID’s of the games
      00040000000EC300 = Zelda A Link Between Worlds
      0004000000111B00 = Yoshi’s New Island
      0004000000035400 = LEGO Star Wars III
      0004000000049000 = Star Fox 64 3D
      0004000000062300 = Sonic Generations

  8. Alteration says:

    From reports it looks like this update breaks CIA support.

    • Smoker1 says:

      True. Games like SSFIV get Black Screen after 3DS Logo, RetroArch get stuck after setting Screen Resolution on Initializing.
      Way around it, is to Run a .3ds/3dz Game with the Red Card, when it is running, press Home, do not Close out Game but just Select a CIA Game or Homebrew.
      Afterwards, everything seems to run perfectly. Can close out Games and select another CIA Game/Homebrew with any problems.

      • Smoker1 says:

        Except for apparently RetroArch. Some reason, it needs to be run the same way first, then the others will work no problem

    • Franky says:

      lol, your icon is so fitting.

  9. Byte says:

    Gateway clones like MT-card are a thing of the past, the GW emulation module of the Supercard DSTWO+ is the new competition. Also ran is Sky3DS and clones, a differnt concept as they emulate retail cards, defeated with Ninty’s new AP measures. You can run .cias by first hitting select and choosing any 3ds file first. Running retail carts in classic mode is still broken though…
