Just wish it was easier to run though. Tried Android, but when you try to connect , you need 4G and it will give you a Update Nag.
PC, always keep getting a “Waiting for Connection”. Do I need it also connected to a WiFi Router as well as USB? Seriously needs explination on how exactly to get everything running.

*sigh* if only I can downgrade a psvita so i can use rejuvenate hack (3.55- 3.18)

Never mind playing online; I had to update because newer games require higher firmware. Rejuvenate, or any other Vita hack, won’t be worth it until there’s a proper firmware spoofer that allows playing newly released games. And to my understanding, that’s not possible with Rejuvenate. So I’ll wait for something better.

I was loocking for an emulation device like an android tab with physical buttons but then i decided to buy an ps vita. When i got it it came with 3.51 so that was the right moment to install rejuvenate. After many fails and frustations i menaged to run both rejuvenate hacks. Plugged to PC, run an emulator, played a bit and shutted down. It’s takes so much efford to make it run, to launch an emulator; it’s f..ing complicated. I don’t have an android phone and i don’t want to plug it to a pc every time to run a simple emulator.
So i upgraded to 3.55, now i have TNV and ARK with one menu; i can play all PSP, PSX, Sega, Nintendo games, accsess PSN and i don’t have to plug it some where. I know it’s restricted to PSP’s power but the fact is it’s working!
The idea of using the native power PS Vita would be amazing and i’m really loocking forward to see that come in action; but rejuvenate is really to complicated and unpractical. I really appreciate what yi fan lu did, hope they make it better, easier and simpler.

I still have 3.18 on my Vita, didn’t make PSM account so I’m out of Rejuvenate.
Honestly after more than one year I’m getting tired of keep my Vita with 3.18 if I can’t do anything, recently there were a lot of games I would like to buy but I can’t cause low firmware and I don’t want to spend another money for another Vita…

I got my Vita all ready for Rejuvenate… Then never did it…
Home-brew isn’t what it used to be lol. Emulation kinda sucks too. I can play anything I want to on my PC with no hacks.
I haven’t looked at the hack in a long while so I know nothing of the limitations. But the limitations it had when it launched were very off-putting.
I’d only ever want to run ISOs of my imported games so I don’t have to carry a stack of games around with me.

I think it’s incredibly ridiculous to assume the only people playing online on the Vita are /r/vita users, and even more ridiculous to use a VGchartz number to support any claim literally ever.

What a great, impassioned post in favour of PS Vita homebrew. If Sony are done with it and consider it now as nothing more than a PS4 Remote Play controller or PS Now conduit then it’s time that the hackers had at it, I agree.

Problem I have with Rejuvenate is not that it’s a fiddle to setup – I don’t mind that as I’ve been doing softmod stuff for some years now and some of it is hours of learning why stuff needs to be done and getting the method steps in the right order. It’s that I can’t get it working, even for the Hello World ELF! I have a couple of Phat Vitas on 3.18 aka “The Golden Firmware” and no matter how closely I follow the PSM Unity setup steps on the PSM+ Wololo pages it never wants to work. VitaDefiler can connect and I can see it copying on the Vita itself but it just never seems to connect when dropping the ELF onto the .BAT builder. It’s frustrating because I really want that faster native SNES emulator so I can see how fast Super Mario Kart can run – the lack of Media Engine means the PSP mode emulation is slower than an actual PSP. Also the PEOPS PS1 emulation is a bit ropey, I assume with a native level homebrew THPS2 and a few others like FF7 would be playable again without stuttery sound, slowdowns or both. So I’m eager to get Rejuvenate working so it would be a Yay if I could. But even after putting a few hours in here and there across several weekends I haven’t had any luck, although it seems I’ve gotten a little further each time.
