Release: iOS 9.0 – 9.0.2 Jailbreak for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch is now available!
Like they have done it in the past the Pangu Team has just released their iOS 9.0.x jailbreak for Apple’s iOS devices.
The iOS 9.0.x. jailbreak requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 9.0.0, 9.0.1 or 9.0.2.
The jailbreak programm is currently only available for Windows Operating Systems, but a Mac & Linux version might be released as well.
The Pangu iOS 9.0.x Jailbreak is compatible with the iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6+, iPhone 6S & 6S+, iPod Touch 5 & 6, and the iPad 2, 3, 4, iPad Air 1 & 2, iPad Mini 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Those should be all the devices that are capable of running iOS 9. If your device is not listed in this, then it is either unable to run iOS9, or I forgot to include it.
Similar to CFWs & eCFWs for our beloved PSP & the PS Vita, a Jailbreak can enable your iDevice to have Plugin-like software running in the background.
Those “iOS Plugins” are called Tweaks, and they can either be restricted to only work in certain applications, only on the Home- or Lockscreen, or even work system-wide.
Before you can use the Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 9.0.x you should definitely create a backup via iTunes, just in case something goes wrong.
Most people jailbreak their iOS devices to gain access to these tweaks, since tweaks can transform your boring default iOS device into a real innovative powerhouse.
Nonetheless, the Pangu Jailbreak tool cannot brick your iOS device. iTunes will always be able to restore it back to default, thus completely wiping any Jailbreak attempt, traces, etc.
Before you can perform the jailbreak, it is recommended to disable your Passcode/TouchID authentification, disable the iCloud Find-my-iPhone feature and in the end disable Cellular, Wifi. You might as well enable the airplane mode after doing everything previously listed, just to be sure.
The jailbreak process itself is very simple and should only require you to click the Jailbreak button inside of their Jailbreak programm. The jailbreak Tool will tell you if you have to do anything else, so you might want to keep an eye on it.
Assuming everything went well, you will now find a new Application on your device: Cydia.
Cydia is pretty much a jailbreak related AppStore, which offers a lot of cool free tweaks, Themes and sometimes even applications. Some things in Cydia require you to purchase them, though.
Most of the things in Cydia are free, but some are paid as well. Those paid tweaks, Themes & Applications are usually very cheap and regularly updated.
Nonetheless, you don’t have to download anything via Cydia at all, unless you want to add something to your device.
By default the jailbreak can give you root access on your iOS device, and it installs Cydia for you. Anything else is optional and depends on the user.
Keep in mind that this iOS9 Jailbreak is brand new, so there will only be a hand full of Tweaks that work as-in on iOS9.
Fret not, though! The developers of said Tweaks are currently working on porting them to iOS9. In the next few days/weeks there should be a lot of iOS9-compatible Tweaks.
You might want to inform yourself before you Jailbreak your iOS device, just in case. Oh, and be sure to create an iTunes backup prior to jailbreaking, it is highly recommended!

Too much BS. If modding fans haven’t moved to Android by now… I wish Apple would feel the sting of 0 hackers buying their device. Maybe then they’ll let the minority do *** they want. The same could be said for Sony.
Of course the second I post an iOS article, I get these elitist F@gdroid users bashing it.
Do us all a favor and dont comment at all if the topic doesnt interest you.
someone’s definitely an isheep
Usually I back Zett up but 100% agree with you haha. Good article though.
>Says a positive thing about iOS
>definitely an iSheep
Great logic you got there, mate.
I dont care about Mac, iPads or other Apple cr@p, I do like my iOS, iPhone & iPod Touches, though.
That’s just how it is, Z, the same bashing would’ve happened from an applefag if you posted something Android related
Thanks anyway for the article, I’ve been waiting for a chance to jailbreak my iPad for a while
FFS, get back on your meds.
Don’t worry he still has to root his android to do anything that a jailbroken iPhone does. Plus the modding scene for android is horrid at best. I think it’s funny that people have to *** about what other people use as phone. Oh and before you android lovers bash me for using iOS I’ve owned android for years before and iOS is hands down smoother and apple supports their phones for years where android fails to upgrade old phones to new OS. So before you bash someone for using iOS just think before you speak because everyone likes things deffriently.
You’re a *** the modding scene for Android is booming, while Apple is being strangled with each update Apple pushes. Where’s installous? App Cake and those other Chinese alternatives suck compared to Aptoid.
Oh and towelroot consists of visiting a website and clicking a link. No recovery mode required.
Ok I didn’t mean to hate, I was Apple only when I had my G3. I’ve recently owned the iPhone 5 and disliked it with a passion. Nothing worked from Cydia, all apps where outdated. Also free apps have become scarce, or the method is annoying. I’m just a user who thinks Android is easier, but god forbid if someone has an opinion around here eh?
I was just saying, the methods are obscure, and patched ALL THE TIME! if 0 hackers buy iPhone maybe they (Apple) will realize their security hurts the company more than it does good.
Normally profanity and disrespect on your level would offend me. However I’m pretty used to you acting this way, not surprised at all.
Also the topic DID interest me! I wish you could see the Author of the article via the Home Page. That way I can skip your articles if you want to be so p!ssy all the time.
If you dont want a p!ssy answer, how about you dont write a p!ssy comment in the first place?
P!ssy comment lol? I disrespected Apple, not you. Quit defending their corporate entity. When I said “too much bs” I meant the Jailbreak process, not your article. It’s called context, get you some.
I understand your frustration as a person who prefers iOS to have someone bash your article about iOS, but turning around and calling those people “elistist F@gdroid users” isn’t very professional. In fact, I would say it’s just plain childish. You’re blogging on a respected site. Act like it.
Dont like it? Dont read it.
My article, my comments, my behavior. If I want to act like I child, I may do so.
Are you really expecting professionalism from the Z? You must be new around here…
I’ve actually been here for a while, but you’ve got a point.
I am 99.97% sure you can do a better job than I can.
Go ahead, convince me.
*** isheep detected…. LOL
seriously The Z, that’s how the internet works and you don’t have to feed the troll..
nice article though…
PS i usually don’t reply but i find it funny…
Too bad Apple products are only for the feeble minded
hows the battery life on ios 9?
Yaay, I hope compatibility is not too bad at first
Sweeeeeeeeet
Get Rekt m9 im first bebeh.
XDXDXDXDXDXD
First… Yehey… Nice to see new jailbreak for iphone.
Reading statements like:
“Nonetheless, the Pangu Jailbreak tool cannot brick your iOS device. iTunes will always be able to restore it back to default, thus completely wiping any Jailbreak attempt, traces, etc.
Before you can perform the jailbreak, it is recommended to disable your Passcode/TouchID authentification, disable the iCloud Find-my-iPhone feature and in the end disable Cellular, Wifi. You might as well enable the airplane mode after doing everything previously listed, just to be sure.”
Makes this article sound like another 4chan attack on iOS users.
iPhone or iOS draws many hackers to jailbreak it because apple is giving a huge money (1M $) to the ones who can do it. Unlike the PS Vita, Sony doesn’t give a *** that is why until now AFAIK there were no user friendly (no offense to rejuvenate) native hack yet existed on psvita. Make sense?
Me being interested in the jailbreak.
Thanks for The Zett for letting us know!
Iphone or iOS is drawing more hackers to jailbreak it because apple are giving a huge (1M $) amount of money to the ones who can do it. Unlike sony who really doesn’t give a **** that’s why until now AFAIK, no USER FRIENDLY (without any requirments except vita FW version) native hack (no offense to rejuvenate native hack) ever existed yet.
wrong. its another company that’s giving the money reward for jailbreak.
yeah. I think it was Zerodium Company. they are giving a reward to the individual or a team who can jailbreak the latest iOS 9. they will pay up to 3 different jailbreaks for a total of 3M$. With PSVITA? only wololo community are giving the efforts with optional donations.
*** is this Sh*t wololo?, whats next to be posted here? AppleTV? New Mac OS? I thought this was a Gaming Website dedicated to Gaming News and not a “lets see what random sh*t we can post today site”, lately you post more deals and non-Gaming related news than needed.
Maybe go feature more Homebrews or write some Tutorial on how to create Homebrews, YOU KNOW, THE SH*T THAT WE ACTUALLY CAME HERE FOR!
If this keeps up I might as well just stick to Lifehacker or something, they atleast tell interesting news…
Nope, we’re a site dedicated to hacking and security, with a strong focus on gaming consoles. A jailbreak is announced for iOS, it makes sense to have it here 🙂
If you have concerns about articles that you would like to see here, please drop me a pm on /talk, I am always looking for guest bloggers and it would be the best way for you to steer things in a direction that you are happier with. Makes sense?
We need a way to bypass icloud lock on second hand devices -.-
No, we dont.
iCloud lock is great, because real customers have an additional security layer, while thieves can s#ck a d!ck.

Can confirm, you are 343% the reel Z@!
Good good=very very Good!!
