Minimur, WTH Happened This Week? Muv-Luv, New Far Cry & Talking Point!
This week there’s plenty of news for you to read about, ranging from Playstation Now, to a new Far Cry, and a localization of Muv-Luv!
We’ll start off with the news about Muv-Luv, and move onto everything else after. I’d like to introduce a new topic to my weekly article – named ‘Talking Point’ – it will simply be a question for you all so we can bring about a discussion for you to comment on below! You’ll see this week’s discussion at the bottom of the article, along with Reddit Time and the weekly blog round-up!
The expected completion date for the game is October next year, which isn’t too much of a wait compared to some Kickstarter games out there – whether or not there will be a delay, however, is possible. The game will be all 3 of the Muv-Luv games, [Extra] [Unlimited] and also [Alternative]
Take a look at the pitch video below, and let me know what you think!
The base pledge level to get the trilogy is $60, the android version was also a part of the stretch goal, which has been met, but there doesn’t seem to be a pledge option for it.
After it’s lengthy time between the launch in the US and now, it’s time for it to be launched completely in the UK – priced at £12.99/month, you can get access to the full library of games that PS Now has to offer, a total of 100!
I can understand thinking that £13 per month is a lot, and I am thinking about trying it out for a month – but thinking about what goes into this rather than video streaming services like Netflix, hosting the game data for the games, the technology used for playing games and bandwidth – it is an impressive piece of tech, and by no means I don’t think a realistic expectation for the price to be around £5-9 p/m is okay, I think £13 is the best price.
And with games constantly being added for you to play, it only makes it even more worth it!
This is a promo video for the American PS Now, so some of these games may not be on the EU PS Now
After the announcement quite a while ago, which I covered on this blog – the release for the official PlayStation media remote will be launching late this month – I won’t be getting it as I don’t often use the PS4 for entertainment, depending on the reviews, I might think about getting it for my other PS4 on my main TV for use with the set-top box too, if it works, but other than that I don’t really have the need for one, it does look pretty nice though!

The next entry in the Far Cry series was announced earlier this week, and it’s named Far Cry: Primal, set in a Primordial time, at the very beginning of time…… I’ll save the monolog. Watch the video!

The Witcher 3’s news now, there’re a few things on the witcher this week that are worth noting, one is the size of the new Patch that’s upcoming, and another the amount of things patched in the game. It is UNREAL!
First off, the patch consists of 15GB – now it’s starting to become a running theme where patches are unnecessarily large, but if you were to read through the patch notes essay, you’ll understand – it’s 13 pages long, but here’s the most important changes being implemented:
The Witcher 3 Patch 1.10 Notes

With the growing ‘interest’ of microtransactions in the gaming industry, they have slowly started making their way into full retail games.
Destiny is the most recent game to implement these, with a new premium currency, but not only that – Rise of The Tomb Raider will also feature these microtransactions, the way these are described, are simply a quick cash grab. Like usual. With cards having different effects, like Big Head Mode, or some even challenging cards, there will be 300 different cards for you to purchase at launch some will be unlimited use and others one-time, whether or not you will is a different question, but either way, I’m a bit *** at this being as it’s a full retail game, where people will be playing $60 for this.
