Ironhax patched and why you should backup the old version of ironfall if you have it
After the e-shop maintenance for ironfall, new version of ironfall on e-shop is patched and you can’t use ironhax on it. Even though we have a lot of *hax, you should still backup your old ironfall if you have it on your SD card according to smealum.
Famous 3DS hacker smealum announced on twitter that new version of ironfall is patched.
fyi ironfall is back up on eshop (yay) but of course the vuln's been patched (sad). those who have ironhax should never redownload ironfall.

Back in the days of DSi, Nintendo did the same for Sudoku too. They removed the game from e-shop, patched the vulnerability and put it back on e-shop.
also for those who *do* have ironhax : i'd backup the files and keep it around. themehax will likely be patched in a future firmware version

Copying all of “Nintendo 3DS” folder on your SD card would be a good backup just in case. Also never redownload the ironfall if you have it as it will overwrite the old, unpatched one.
Even though we have more *hax for current firmware, it is always nice to be prepared for the next firmware from Nintendo, right? Having a backup never hurts, especially if themehax is patched on next 3ds firmware.
Nintendo is stupid all you have to do is if you do download the new ironfall just copy the old over the new from anyone. Just make sure you download it if its your first time so you have the permissions to use the game.
Wouldn’t license files get in the way? If not this could possibly work, using THBL to replace the games executable with an old version.

yeah nintendo is stupid, so three-d-s hacked to it’s core, but Vita is not.
Does this method really work? If so, a tutorial/notice should be made in Wololo /Talk for those wondering.
I have no way to test it now. If you have the old version, backup, if you don’t have it, just download the new version in case something can be done in future. That would be the best approach.
Game are encrypted with a console unique key on the SD card, that won’t work.

Can I just transfer that to a new bigger sd when I want to upgrade?

first? ^^ I cut it real close by re-downloading Irofall BEFORE they patched it! it was like yesterday or the day before that.
