Minimur, WTH Happened This Week? PS Plus For October, Ratchet & Clank Trailer & Last Weeks News!
Hi, all! It’s that time of the week again, where we all start fresh and I collate what has happened this week (and last week)! Let’s go shall we?
We have a mixture of news from this and last week, including the new golden PS4, some new Vita games a Dev Diary from the Just Cause team!
With Vita games I’ll include what I found for this week & last week, but unfortunately, it doesn’t amount too much. A total of 2.
Phineas and Ferb: Day of Doofenshmirtz
The plucky boy geniuses must battle Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his minions across the city of Danville and far beyond! Play as Phineas, Ferb, and Perry the Platypus as you enjoy an action-packed, puzzle-filled quest, specially designed for the features and controls of PS Vita.
Actual Sunlight – 7th October
It was announced via the PS Blog, and Will O’neall took to the blog to explain his game, here’s a quick-fire description:
In Actual Sunlight, you step into the shoes of Evan Winter, a depressed and overweight 30-something professional in Toronto. The game offers an internal perspective on his life which is often difficult and sad, but also engaging and darkly humourous.
It was finally announced this week, what we’ve waited to hear for next months PS Plus goodies. Among them include Double Fine’s crowdfunded games Broken Age – and also Super Meat boy, the game that was on the X360 6 years ago…..
I played SMB a while ago on my brothers computer, and enjoyed it – so I’m pretty glad I’ll be able to play it on my Vita!
Broken Age is Cross save supported, as for the others I’m unsure!
- Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita)
- Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita)
- Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3)
- Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3)
- Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3)
- Chariot (PS3)
The new Ratchet & Clank is cleverly subtitled: ‘The Game, Based On The Movie, Based On The Game’, and might I say at 60fps Ratchet is looking nicer than ever!
It’s a shame we never got to see an original R&C game on the Vita – we were so close with Nexus, too!
Either way, this trailer is as comical as the rest and I am itching to find out a solid release date!
Telltale Games have been open about Minecraft: Story Mode for a while now, and they’ve just released the first trailer showing what episode one will entail, I don’t have Minecraft, nor have I played with enough effort put in to play a full game, but I’ve never really enjoyed the game.
I won’t be playing this though, I’m done with Telltale games being the glitchy mess that they are.
If this isn’t, please inform me otherwise!
How are their other games, Tales from Borderlands & GoT?

Who else is excited for Just Cause 3?
I am, I can’t understand how I’ve missed out on such amazing games while on PS3, but this one looks crazy awesome and I’ll be getting this one for sure!
Developers Avalanche Studios are in their third episode of a small series of Dev Diarys for their upcoming game, and in this one they explain the world, what went into it and their scope.
It’s a great watch, I’m always up for a good Dev Diary though, so it’s up to you if you want to spend 6 minutes watching this!

Fallout 4 have also been uploading a small series of videos, based on their SPECIAL categories, Strength, Perception,Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck.
The videos outline the advantages of taking different routes when spending your skill points, below outlines why taking the charismatic approach is best – in a fun 1940’s comic style cartoon, take a look below:

Is there some way to get the free Plus games on my Vita without updating?
If you own a ps3, you can download them there and copy to your vita using the CMA Trick. However, many new games might require a specific FW or higher to play. Super Meat Boy, for example needs 3.52 or higher 🙁
