I love sony and i love wololo(and all the hacker in general).
But sony, y you spend so much time on security? Why not adopting 3ds security (:3 :P)?

  2. Davidb says:

    Meh….

  3. goth1k says:

PS3, Steam, Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS Vita

      • Spectrum says:

“I know you guys and girls play PlayStation but I was wondering what other platforms you play on, Steam? This might help me with deciding on games for giveaways. If want to, voice your opinion and let me know what you like to read about next.”

  4. Miku says:

Sony missed out on the Vita launch badly. Where was Monster Hunter? I originally bought a 3DS first only because I knew Monster Hunter would be on it; And I know friends who still only have a 3DS and are waiting for a Vita release. I don’t won’t it to come across that I think it’s the only possible best game for the Vita to ever have been released, but they missed out on soooo many NA/EU and JP fans that would have helped sales massively and it would probably be a much different device today.

    • JustAnotherOne says:

you do know that where Monster Hunter goes is out of Sony’s control, right? Capcom makes Monster Hunter and its up to them which system they want to develop it for. They chose Nintendo.
the problem is that Sony abandoned the vita. those expensive proprietary memory cards didn’t help either.

      • lmao says:

        > you do know that where Monster Hunter goes is out of Sony’s control, right?

I don’t, nintendo exclusivity deal? If it’s some rumor that saying because Sony gives middle finger to MH team when they ask for MHP3rd, i don’t believe that bullcrap.

        • GurrenPrime says:

The exclusivity deal is total bull and you know it. People that claim it’s a thing said it was only for three years but it’s been well over three years and guess what, MH is still on the 3DS. If you can believe that rumor but not believe the P3rd one your delusional. Don’t let your bias cloud your judgement.

  5. Raul says:

If they going to leave this console after launch as they did to PS Vita then better not.
I think there is easy way to make it absolute succes – made it backward compatible with PS3 only with better specs – programmers won’t have to learn coding again, they will have faster processor and more memory (graphical too). I think it’s possible (now you can have processor made in 14nm technology, not 45/40 like the latest slim). It can have HD resolution, on the 5-5’5 inch it would not matter so much.

  6. thelastnoob says:

You guys are really silly if it was a virus it would be a .VIRUS file. I uploaded it to my vita and it has halo 5 game on there and also updated my vita to windows 10
remember its illegal to lie on the internet honestly!!!

  7. lollypop says:

    while it can wait.
    it shouldnt wait to long.
    for its psvita2 with microsim.

  8. mlc says:

    “shouldn’t be expected soon”

Please don’t sugarcoat things, it’s poor reporting.

    • Bummee says:

      Sugar coat what?

    • lmao says:

Nah, it’s the truth. The next handheld could be in different form, i bet they already formulate tons of new ideas by now, but they are still evaluating their ideas from business and technical standpoints. Like if they making PS phone, how that going to affect their mobile (Xperia) division, etc…

  9. natepig says:

They should make the vita 2 a ps3 handheld. Massive back catalogue and easy for devs to work on. Ditch the touch screens and gimmicks.

  10. proofread says:

“That is a though question , because people have mobile phones…”

Should be tough. That is all

  11. yuuki says:

on an sidenote. they also said there wont be a psp 2. And they where right we got a vita.

  12. Aces says:

Sony will never have a successful handheld console on the same level as nds simply because they are too quick to just abandon them and just push them as tools for remote play. The vita could of been something real special but they squandered any opportunity they had leaving any vita owners part of a cult.

  13. mattsouce says:

no no no sony dont give us that i been playing all my life an when i bought my vita i was really happy.i keep wating for alot of games that never come, but u no wat does come stability updates that dont really do nothing but lock u out of your own system that i spent thousands of dollars in my country to play in my opinion children games thanks

  14. TechsIQ says:

I think the future of handhelds is over, of course im speaking purely on opinion. I loved my vita but i haven’t touched her in months. I mainly got it for future hack possibilities because i know how community support vs sony support operates. With smartphones getting more powerful every year and mainly becoming somewhat of an all in one device i really think handhelds are finished.

  15. lmao says:

BTW legacy device term is directed toward PSV 1000, they don’t produce it anymore, that’s the reason they call it legacy device.

    • Raul says:

If Vita 1000 is legacy device then 2000 is the same as it’s the same console with the same games. Differences are not important.

    • Anon says:

      That denial.
He literally said “legacy platform”. Not “legacy system” neither “legacy device”. PCH-1000 and PCH-2000 are just specific models within one platform.

  16. Truth00 says:

Never say never? Sounds like there procrastinating because they don’t have anything. I have a vita and I haven’t found any good games really to get other than assassin creed or something. Psp was a good system lots of games etc. I know vita hasn’t had that much time as psp but how long ago did vita come out? How much time has past and still don’t have a lot of choices. I think no one wants to mess with the vita games because not enough power, touch screen turned it into a phone base. No need for rear touch pad. Like how the Ds have two screens lol. The internals to a ps vita compare it with a new iphone 6s plus which has more power. Which has more capabilities. Ps vita is competing with that too. Sony need to go hard or go home. Right now I would say they have there bags packed and ready to go home if they don’t do a serious upgrade. It his is a handheld console needs to pack more power than a phone it has to top or be as good as phones just saying guys there failing us all don’t lay back and accept it

  17. Matt Leblonc says:

I gotta say that i heard from a few friends who work over at sony talking to me about a ps vita version in the works that is completely cartless. Makes sense considering what they are trying to so with the vita now which is just using it as a straight up streaming tool with only sony branded apps on the device. It sad when you think of the evolution of psp then to tumble then spiral downhill with such terrible ideas.

  18. Adam Fox says:

It’s really Sony’s own fault that the Vita isn’t as big as it should have been. Although the library may be limited, there really are some impressive games on it. Uncharted Golden Abyss looks great. Call of Duty Declassified looks great as well. Mortal Kombat was a great port even though it was scaled down. However, Sony using proprietary memory and charging WAY too much for it didn’t help any. The limited library of games at launch didn’t help either. The 3DS had some good launch titles like Street Fighter IV and the 3D aspect added something new to it. Not to mention the 3DS is also backward compatible with the older DS games. That is something Nintendo has been doing a good job on. The Vita could play PSP games, but you had to pay for them digitally or already own digital versions. Sony’s UMD-to-Digital program was a joke, forcing you to pay anywhere from $6 to $20 to convert a UMD that you paid for once to digital. Sony is charging $10+ for older games while Nintendo is charging $5 for most older games on their handheld. Sony is limiting “backward compatibility” on their PS4 by forcing you to pay for PlayStation Now service and streaming games or they are just re-releasing older games and forcing customers to pay for them again (God of War 3, Final Fantasy X/X-2). While Nintendo is allow users to play Wii games in the Wii U. Even Microsoft is allowing Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One (granted you do have to download a digital copy, but once its downloaded, you don’t even need an internet connection). PlayStation Now is a joke, half the stuff in the PlayStation Now library isn’t even covered in the subscription fee’s and renting them isn’t even worth the price. Compare some of the 90 day rental prices to Amazon versions of the physical game, you’d be better off buying a used PlayStation 3. It may be too late for Sony to make a “Vita 2” or a follow up handheld. Mobile games are starting to dominate, you can already get some retro classics on iOS and Android phones. Sonic CD is a good example of this. Not many people got to experience that game because not many people owned a Sega CD and MILLIONS of people own a smartphone. More smartphones have been sold than PlayStation 2 systems and there is no sign of slowing down on the smartphone sales. If Sony were to ATTEMPT to make another handheld, they need to do away with proprietary memory format. They also should allow backward compatibility with Vita games…actual cartridge, not just digital download. With the way that components are getting cheaper, they could easily put an AMD CPU or Intel CPU in a handheld. Intel Atom Quad core CPUs are already being used in Windows 8 tablets that sell for less than $200.

    • Truth00 says:

This guy gets it. Most companies hold back capable hardware and think of doing it in the next gen but gaming consoles fail to realize that smart phones do that to but they release a new one just about every year gaming consoles about 5 or more years. They need to put something above all and current devices so they will play catch up. It’s crazy how it’s held back but gaming consoles is slowing down phones tablets are taking over. I love the idea of a non touch screen game like apps vs grand theft auto but soon tablets and smart phones will get bluetooth controllers at some point and games like grand theft auto 5 will be on smart phones

  19. Jasper Peters says:

“… but the climate for handheld is not healthy right now because of the dominance of mobile gaming.” Except if your nintendo and have a 3DS XD

  20. DarkDreamTCK says:

The vita can easily be turned around, that’s the saddest part about this.

    -lower memory card price
-compatibility with psn games (all ps classics and a good number of psn titles that were released on ps3 like Pacman champion edition and mvc2)
-some form of case that attaches to the vita and replaces rear touch pad with L2/R2 buttons
-ad hoc communication for multiplayer within psn games/classics.

I’d sell my entire Nintendo library to be able to play games like Kingdom Hearts 2 and resident evil 4 on the go. That’d be way more useful than a laggy subscription service that lets me play games I already own in inferior quality when my ps3 is right there.
