VHBL Released for PS Vita 3.52 (JP)
Japanese Developer 173210 just announced the name of a new exploitable game for the PS Vita yesterday, and released a VHBL port with it.
173210 had recently announced he was working on a hack for a free Demo (Milky Holmes), unfortunately he stated a few days ago that he had given up on this project. The demo had too many limitations to work on a decent VHBL port. However he mentioned he’d still have a VHBL port available for another game, with a reasonable price.
There’s of course a huge difference between Free and “reasonable price”. That difference is that those of you without access to a Japanese payment method are left in the cold for this release, so this will most likely be only available for people with a JP PSN account and a way to acquire JP PSN Codes. It’s doable to get those, but I’m not sure that many people outside of Japan will want to go through the hoops and loops at this point.
Nevertheless, this is great news for those of you with a Japanese PSN account.
The game is ロックマン ロックマン, that’s Mega Man Powered Up in the US, sadly the game is apparently not available outside of the JP PSN.
The game currently costs 315 Yen on the JP PSN Store. That’s $2.5. If Sony is consistent, it’s likely that the game will be gone from the PSN Store by Monday.
173210 has mentioned several limitations of the exploit on his twitter account. VHBL, and the games it runs, might be a bit unstable in some occasions.

After installing the files to your vita via Open CMA or QCMA, To run the exploit in the game, go to Construction then あそぶ！

man I so bad, I lose the rejuvenate hack just to download the free VHBL and now the guy was projecting the hack canceled it so now i dont have the rejuvenate and the VHBL too

I’m still recommending japan-codes.com as a place to buy JPN PSN cards, but they recently switched to pricing in JP Yen, then switched back to US $. I don’t know if I can recommend them anymore at this point. They’ve never sc*** me out of a code, though, and I’ve bought about US$200 worth of cards from them.
Purchased the game and got vhbl running but does this game have the 1mb restriction of 3.51+ cause when i try to open the homebrew after installing it won’t let me. I’m on the latest firmware by the way. I feel like i wasted 315 yen.

Well i was finally able to fix my problem. Managed to get the Nester_AoEX_R3 working perfectly on it so far. My 315 yen was not in vain. TY 173210.
How did you manage to sort the problem out? I can seem to install emulators but when I try run them they either error or just freeze the whole exploit!
Well first i used a potato to have a point of refference from where to start cause obviously a PS vita in its base components resemble one after that its really all about frying it that’s how the really special stuff working so remember when in doubt compare potato
Qwik has released a fixed version of his VHBL update, it was freezing and crashing as soon as the exploit was launched, but his new distrib v2 works great!
