3DS System Update 10.0.0-27 is live
Nintendo just pushed another firmware update to 3DS/3DS XL/2DS/New 3DS/New 3DS XL. It is another stability update and as with nearly all stability updates, it is supposed to block exploits but surprisingly it doesn’t block Ninjhax 2.0, Ironhax or Tubehax.
Official changelog for 10.0.0-27 firmware is “Further improvements to overall system stability, system security, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience” just like the previous 9.9.0 firmware. Last firmware that actually included something other than stability update and exploit patching was 9.6.0.
It has also been confirmed that SKY3DS still works at 10.0.0-27 firmware. Also gateway’s or other cfw’s emunand is working at 10.0.0-27 for Old 3DS. For New 3DS, latest supported emunand is still 9.5.
So it is great to enjoy homebrew at latest firmware, but what is Nintendo’s plan? Why doesn’t this big update (at least the version number “10” suggests that) block Ninjhax, Ironhax, Tubehax? Did Nintendo finally stop fighting with homebrew or do they have other tricks up their sleeve?
Let’s wait and see, meanwhile you can update to this latest firmware and continue to enjoy your homebrews.

Well seems the r4i gold sti is still working I am using a ntsc-u new 3ds xl

I would hold off on updated there are rumlrs floating arround of a possible kernel hack especially since the update is 127mb

Like the vita…….we will update then find out that ironhax cannot use save bigger than 1mb and snes will run at 20fps…..or games bigger than 1mb wont work…….kidding….bullsh1t here 😀
It’s a tactic I say, hook-and-line, reel in everybody so that the console would “sell” and continue on believing that they’ve forgot about it and then take down everything when it get’s too mainstream.
What will Nintendo get when they brick all their own console? but don’t understand why always stability
