PS3 Custom Firmware 4.75.3 Rebug REX/D-REX are available!
After Sony’s shameful Official Firmware 4.76 release which added nothing on Features to the PlayStation 3 is there again a good News for Rebug Fans. We mentioned a while ago that Team Rebug released their Custom Firmware to Firmware 4.75. Version 4.75.3 brings you now 4.76 Firmware spoofing which was needed to Login into the PlayStation Network, an updated toolbox and a new integration of the webMAN plugin. Version 4.75.2 had a little bug with prx files. The integrated webman blocked other additional plugins in Version 4.75.2, however Version 4.75.3 fixes this Bug and is now available at Rebug.me

How to install it ?
- Download the Rebug PS3UPDAT.PUP and create on a FAT32 formatted Flash Drive a Folder called PS3 into these another one called UPDATE now save the PS3UPDAT.PUP in the UPDATE Folder. (there are two Version one for CEX and the other one for DEX Systems choose one you need)
- Go to Settings > System Update and install it.
- You’re now done and can setup the CFW.

this might be a stupid question, but can I install this on 4.75 OFW, or do I need to downgrade with an e3 Flasher?
on ps3, first step is always to reach fw 3.55 (official one is ok)
No that is not needed nor always true. Downgrade is a must for sure but you can patch a dump and flash 4.75 directly. Also 3.56 base OFW can install CFW but if you downgrade to 3.55 it will not work due to the new metldr2. You have to flash to your current firmware. Anything over 3.56 can’t be downgraded and only 3.56 base OFW MUST have a patch since you can’t downgrade to 3.55 or anything lower then 3.56

Its nice to see wololo covering some ps3 related stuff now. Rebug is the shizzle when it comes to cfw imo. Thanks to joonie and the team for their hard work.
Whatever it STILL needs 3.55 to run it. Why you bring BS cfw that needs one update? Plz find a bypass.
Got a ps3 4.75ofw superslim i know this will not work on it so what do i do?
Sell that superslim and buy e3 flasher and hackable slim with model number 2001 or 2501b. Or save yourself time and hassle and buy one from ebay that’s already on 3.55

Hacks are rarely free so stop being cheap, if you don’t want topony up for a flasher pay someone to do it. Teensy++ with NOR/NANDWay is cheaper the E3. PS3 3000 slims and 4000 super slims can’t install CFW no can they ever. They came with higher then 3.55 and you can’t go an lower the your first OFW.
If you update from 4.46 Cobra you will need to delete game data and reinstall as permissions changed in Cobra stage2.bin after 4.53. Not your saves nke your data that installs prior to first play or you will get errors.
For fun feature changed in Rebug toolbox to Rebug mode, DEX then retail in the second mode. Go all the way to your settings on XMB and school down till you see *Debug settings and enable fake save data owner. But beware once you load a game save file with this you must always have this feature on and stay in Rebug as the save won’t work with any other firmware except Rebug and Debug
