Hey, gang! After a while away working 14 hour days, I’m back in action and ready to blog Until Dawn. This week I’ve got a fair few vita games, and some interesting information on TGS from Sony! 

I’ll be listing all the PS Vita games I can find from when I took my hiatus, and there’s quite a few! 8, I suppose is a decent amount.

Something somewhat interesting cropped up on the 30th last month, Sony’s new first party studio in the North West of England is hiring an artist with:

Stylised folio similar to Studio Ghibli

Their job would be to construct art based on approved concept art already, for a Project Morpheus game. I don’t expect we’ll hear any more about this project anytime soon, especially being as they are seemingly only at the point of creating the environments.

Either way, it’s nice to here that games with this art style will be making its way toward the console!

This is something brilliant. Terrible, but brilliant – The limited edition Metal Gear Solid Playstation 4 has a typo on it!

It’s nothing big, but on the front it says where the Diamond Dogs logo is:

Well, I didn’t recognise the mistake, because I didn’t pay attention in my Science class; turns out Molybdeum is supposed to be spelt Molybdenum.

Every PS4 put into production has this mistake it seems, and if there is a second run of the console then it should rectify this; which would in turn make the first run a rarity and more valuable.

I think what should be done really, is just re-print the hard drive cover and offer them out as a replacement, and it’s free if you have proof of purchase.

It’s about time, but the features for OFW 3.00 have been listed, and highlights include finally the ability to stream to Youtube Gaming, a Calendar for events like double XP weekend, an update rolling out, and most importantly, you can send stickers via messages! Here’s the full changelog:

• Events: A new hub for events has been added, giving an overview of activities taking place in the games you play most, as well as official broadcasts. For instance, you may see an update for a double XP weekend, a special enemy appearing at a scheduled time, or seasonal events like in-game towns being decorated for the winter.
• YouTube live: PS4 owners will be able to live stream gameplay to YouTube. Live streams will be viewable across YouTube, including on the new YouTube Gaming mobile app and website.
• Online storage capacity increase: PlayStation Plus members’ PS4 cloud storage capacity will increase from 1GB to 10GB
• Favourite Groups: Favourite Groups has been added to the Friends app, letting you add new or existing groups as a Favorite Group and quickly access groups of people you like to play games with frequently. This will make the process of getting a game session up and running even easier.
• Communities: PS4 users will have the ability to create communities based around shared interests, like games, genres and more. Communities include a message board with general discussion, screenshots shared by players and the ability to join parties or games. If you want to tackle a big multiplayer raid, but don’t have enough friends, this could be a great way to connect with other like-minded players.
• Sharing video clips to Twitter: Users will have the ability to share video clips directly to Twitter. The maximum video length is 10 seconds, but you’ll have the ability to trim longer clips.
• Live from PlayStation: We’ve added the ability for users to view popular broadcasts, video clips and screenshots on the Live From PlayStation area
• Screenshots: We’ve listened to your feedback and we’re happy to confirm that PNG format is now an option for Screenshot saves
• Now Playing: The Now Playing screen will display more information about what your friends are doing, and you’ll be able to quickly jump into a party, request a screen share, or jump to PlayStation Store to buy a game your friend is playing.
• Request to watch: Want to view a friend’s gameplay session? Now you can send a ‘Request to Watch’ notification to a player, which will start a live broadcast or Share Play invitation to the person playing.
• Stickers: Tired of typing out messages? With this update, you’ll be able to send stickers to friends through the messages.

Altogether pretty decent, I’m overjoyed that we are now getting 10GB of upload date for our PS4 saves, something that some people were confused over.

You get 1GB for PS Vita, 1GB for PS3, and now 10GB for PS4.

After much delay, it’s inevitable announcement has been made to cancel the PS3/360 versions of Mortal Kombat X.

If I’m going to be honest, I didn’t even know there was an MKX in the worst for last gen consoles, so I suppose there wasn’t much demand for it, on top of the technical restraints held by the consoles.

The publisher made the announcement via their community forums, here it is:

After months of development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the current-gen versions of the game. We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned.

Sony have announced their presence in TGS this year, with the PS4 heading 15 games while the PS Vita 4.

It’s possible that there are still more to be announced, as the press release mentioned that the titles listed were ones that could be disclosed as of the date, but here  are the 100% confirmed games:

The PS4 Store for the NA region, if you haven’t noticed for those of you who use the region, the Playstation Store has had a re-design, and looking at the screenshots PushSquare have taken (see below), it looks quite nice. Nicer than the European one I have to use most of the time. I hope it’s only a matter of time before it’s adapted to our region too. But saying that it may look nice, usability is hopefully improved too!

Here’s something pretty awesome that Bethesda announced, that fallout 4 so far has over 111,000 lines recorded for the game. Which is more than Skyrim and Fallout 3  combined.

I already planned on buying this game, but a little tweet is all it takes for you to truly realise the scope of the game. Given what they’ve already shown how you can build, run and protect your own little town, on top of the tonnes of customization options available in the game….. Damn Son.
