PS4 Beta 3.00: Did Sony crank up their security measures?
The new PS4 Firmware 3.00 is coming up, and a public Beta test has been going on. Last time this happened was for firmware 2.50, and at the time SKFU had revealed a simple way to install and test the Beta even if you weren’t on the “VIP” list. It seems the technique doesn’t work anymore
The installation method consisted into redirecting some of your network requests, for your PS4 to simply find the installation package of the Beta firmware. In other words, you were tricking your PS4 into believing it had found a firmware update.
The firmware package file was fairly easy to find for firmware 2.50, as it was in a “beta” subfolder on the dedicated firmware update url (http://deu01.ps4.update.playstation.net/update/ps4/beta/).
It appears the folder isn’t as easy to browse as it was the first time around, and PS4 network hackers haven’t been able to figure out the location of the package file yet.
It is also possible, even assuming modders find the file, that this 3.00 Beta firmware could have stronger license/DRM limitations than the 2.50 firmware did. This would prevent adventurous testers from installing the 3.00 firmware when they’re not officially part of the Beta. but it’s worth figuring this out.

and i hope that 3.00 ofw finally has some meats in it. the last update were just all bones and no juice. please, i hope they include dyamic theme or something.
and has ANYBODY noticed that $ony now no longer gives away free dynamic themes anymore for ps+?
I’ve noticed everything thats given in ps+ has gone downhill too, its like they not trying as hard anymore since alot of ppl will be using ps+ anyways for online :/

whats with the I’m first bs quite frankly if there’s anything a mod should delete is dumb comments stating in first second or third or any same style comment that shhhht is annoying and at times tunes me out.
