Release: NES4Vita 1.1 by SMOKE
SMOKE just released a major update to his NES4Vita homebrew. And it’s our very first entry to the Revitalize competition!
NES4Vita, as the name implies, is a NES emulator for the PS Vita, running on the Rejuvenate hack. In this release, SMOKE added Audio support, as well as a few other major improvements.
The Rejuvenate hack is a native hack for the PS Vita up to firmware 3.51. With the recent release of this hack’s port to the PSM Unity Dev app, anyone on firmware 3.51 or lower can now run homebrews through Rejuvenate. To get some details on how to install and run Rejuvenate homebrews, check our Rejuvenate page.
The Revitalize homebrew competition is a competition for all developers who want to create something cool for their PS Vita, through the Rejuvenate hack. SMOKE’s NES4Vita 1.1 is our very first entry, but I expect there will be many more. There’s $450 in cash prizes, and you can read more about it here: Revitalize Homebrew competition.

FIRST
noice! cant wait to try it out!
Glad to see SMOKE is still at it. Thanks for all your hard work, mang! I’m still on NES4Vita 1.0, but it ran great when I tried it. Only problem, I’m getting a “404 Error” handle when clicking on the download link for v.1.1 /:
Sorry about that. I tried to fix it, please refresh the page
Oh, thank you for replying quickly, Wololo! Appreciate it, mang 🙂
*UPDATE: The download worked when I clicked on the /talk/ forum post. It’s running great, thanks again based SMOKE!*
How is SNES EMU going?
Why every time that i try a new homebrew it just show me “hello world” ?
“Increased stability” omg I loled xD
first?
I’ve been away from the scene for so long and now native vita homebrew is here 🙂 lol!
TY!
The earlier version ran okay(albeit slowly) but when I try to load a rom on v1.1, Unity crashes with an error code. I like the splash screen, though.
I really would like to see retro arch native on the vita with all it’s cores.
Added audio support ( Not perfect, but works )…. Naahhh!
Question: If I managed to grab the PSM Dev app (the non-unity one) can I run homebrews on the latest version of the PS Vita or is it exclusively available to the Unity Dev app on previous firmwares?
I have PSM Dev and Unity on 3.51 but i don’t know how to run any of these emulators as well as where to put the roms. Another thing is every time i open both apps i wants me to update. Do i have a license problem? I’d appreciate any kind of help, thanks.
