Minimur, WTH Happened This Week? Fallout Shelter Release date for Android & more!
Well then, there’s plenty for me to report on this week, including a new Vita game, (possibly 2) and a rumour with the next PS4 software update. Also Keyboard and Mouse support for the Xbox One!
On top of all that, you’re in for a treat with Reddit time as there are some really funny ones this time, along with some interesting PlayStation Trivia. Some more Xbox news is here, and also MGSV: TPP has officially licensed boots. Yep!
First off comes the announcement of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for the PS Vita, coming to your beloved system on the 18th of August, it’s not that far away at all! Unfortunately, it isn’t coming in physical form. But this sort of thing is to be expected nowadays as physical releases are pretty barren. That doesn’t detract that we’re getting a new game announcement each week, however, does it?!?!

When I mentioned that there will possibly be two games coming to the vita, this is what I meant. Sony has registered a Patent for the incredibly cliché name ‘Gnomageddon’, and seems pretty similar to the game released a few years ago Helldivers:
List of goods and services: Operating a real-time game for others over global and local area computer networks
Of course this is all we know about it so far, so whether or not it’s a PS Vita game or PS4 game is yet to be known. Let’s be sure that we’re going to hear some more about this soon!
Take a look at the trademark/patent page here: https://www.tmdn.org/tmview/get-detail?st13=US500000086693731

Well, I suppose that Sony didn’t mean to do this. With the release of Journey on the PS4 and their theme on the store, in the images accompanied on the page attached to the theme, you can see below a new icon has appeared, a calendar.
This is all we know of it, but if I had to speculate I would say that it would be a way of knowing when certain games will be released, patch updates, the next episode of a game series, like life is strange. If this is what happens then I can think this is a pretty good idea.
If it’s simply something that syncs with your google calendar, then that’s pretty stupid. How many of you use the google calendar on your Vita?

It’s about time, with accessory company PDP making an officially licensed remote, which will work with not only your PS4 but can act as a universal remote thanks to the IR blaster is has in the front of it.
In regards of pricing, Amazon has it set for $30, which sounds like an okay amount, as it seems like the standard price for universal remotes going at the moment. A release is set for October 18th
If you’d like to buy it, head here:

About an EU release, the amazon pages states it’s licensed through SCEAmerica, so we have no news on a release at the moment.

With the new release of Prototype & Prototype 2 via digital release only, the game isn’t all that technically impressive, with visuals that aren’t really too pretty, and a frame rate which is worse than the original, it’s easy to label this as a simple cash grab.

Here’s some pretty awesome news, now that Kojima isn’t under the constraints of Konami, in an interview with Guillermo del Toro he confirmed that they are thinking about working together again:
I love working with Kojima-san. We are still in touch. We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that’s not going to be [Silent Hills].
This demo is what could’ve been before Konami f***ed up big time. The demo released was a gret marketing strategy, the chance to play a demo for a game that is to come, is an awesome way to build hype, as it did.
We’ve finally got a PS4/PC release date for the timed Xbox exclusive Rise of The Tomb Raider, a whole 12 months after the Xbox release. It surprises me that PC will be getting this a year later too, as windows/xbox go hand in hand, I would’ve thought there would’ve been at least a little less time for the PC. Either way, it’s nice to know that we’ve finally got a solid date where it will be coming out. I can’t help but feel burned by the whole process of it all though…
Here’s the latest trailer that featured at the Xbox E3 conference. Take a look!
Among the watches, phone case and other things made for this game, there has now been a pair of boots made for it, take a look at the pictures below, might I say that the box does look really nice, and I have a thing for nice packaging. This doesn’t mean to say I’ll be buying them, as I have no need for these boots whatsoever, less so than a Lightning Returns Pocket-watch I purchased!
I’m unsure whether or not I’ll be purchasing the game, I can’t help but feel betrayed after spending £25 on a game that I played for 2 hours, the most expensive game I’ve bought with hour/money spent, I can assure you of that.
I will be keeping an eye on it however, I’ve never played the other MGS games, but I’ll have to keep open minded!
Extra news surfaced this week too, and it’s the install size for the game. It is less than I thought it would be, especially with the scope of it with. The total space required for the game is 25.1GB, which is still a lot, but with games like Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher both using all 50GB of the Blu-Ray disc, it’s interesting to find that it is half of that.

Well I’ve reported about it previously, with the announcement on the game, this time it’s returning because a release date has been announced for it, and it is:

The game has made $5million in revenue from its microtransactions so far, and this will only sky-rocket when it comes to the mass amount of android users out there, I’m not a micro-transaction purchaser, but I’m sure there are plenty out there!
I’m personally looking forward to this, as it’s generated so much hype on the gaming subreddit!

Phil Spencer has taken to twitter to answer a few questions and confirm a few things, one of which being that Keyboard and mouse support will be on its way not too soon after the Xbox/Windows 10 update. Take a look at the tweet below asking about it:

Reddit Time!
Now we all know this isn’t what our experience is, don’t we!

Playstation Trivia
145. Kirsten Dunst had final approval on her character design in the Spider-Man 2 game. She asked developers to reduce the breast size saying, “they made her *** gigantic.”
146. In TES IV: Oblivion there’s a journal belonging to a grave robber that describes Frodo Baggins’ body, mentioning an enchanted sword and ring.
147. Solid Snake and Otacon, also known as David and Hal, are named after the astronaut and computer in 2001: ASO.
148. In LA Noire, the original interview options were ‘coax’, ‘force’ and ‘lie’. In the final game, it was changed to ‘truth’, ‘doubt’ and ‘lie’ but only after the dialogue had been recorded, meaning the ‘doubts’ were overly aggressive.
149. Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami didn’t play Resi 5 for two years as it was the first one he didn’t create.
