Rejuvenate is great, but patience is a virtue
The last two months were like a roller coaster.
Hundreds of people here on wololo.net and other web pages were asking questions about how to install PSM Dev, which one and so on.
People gets easily excited and when things go wrong (or they just think that way), get annoyed pretty fast.
I’m visiting this page a few times daily and I’ve learned that there is always an option (but don’t update to 3.52! ), sooner or later.
And when you are in a hurry, you will make mistakes. This time or another.
I have bought a Vita in a hurry and paid more than I should. I thought that if I didn’t get it then my chance to have one with the golden firmware 3.18 would be zero. and there wouldn’t be any eCFW, PS Loaders and stuff like that. I was wrong and I’ve learned my lesson.
I didn’t get the publisher licence as I was just a few hours late. A few weeks later I read that it wouldn’t be necessary.
Now, it seems that you can install PSM Dev for Unity through the package installer. And there is a way for 3.36 to run package installer that maybe be disclosed sometime in the future.
If I see someone asking a question I’m trying to help. You will never see me telling other visitor or member to update. That’s the last thing that crosses my mind when I’m trying to help. I know it could be hard to find information that you need, that’s why there is a forum. Most of the time your question was asked (like 100 times already).
Rejuvenate is a great thing. I would even say that it is the best thing that happened to Vita after release. The future of Vita is bright.
You can’t do much with it now as a user. It will take months, maybe years to exploit it fully with great emulators.
So, fellow Vita owner’s, there is no need to hurry. We all need to relax a bit.
There are nice deals on Japanese games on EU PS Stores. Grab some at half price and play.
That’s what Vita is for.
PS. Now I need a hardware hacker to hack microsd cards into Vita memory slot.

I think Vita Update Blocker stopped working long ago (PLEASE correct me if i’m wrong), but i have read about some kind of solution on the past posts here at the mainpage.
I would be really thankful if somebody points out that solution!
Vita update blocker is still working and it’s the only way for now to conect to PSN (well… charles proxy do the same trick so it works to but have more steps) so don’t get fooled with others metods. In the last post some id**t put a way to conect to PSN that only update your VITA, I don’t know if it was a joke or if the guy is from SONY’s crew but don’t pay atention, the update blocker still works.

Is there anything special you have to do? I can get it up and running, the vita can connect to the proxy, but every time I try to get into PSN it says I need to update. Looking at the terminal output it seems like update blocker is sending out a lower spoofed number than is current.
Well… Im on 3.36 and cant use this…always getting errors!! Im really interested in a solution! ^^

Remember guys, VitaUpdateBlocker only works on the second most recent firmware. So with 3.52 being the latest firmware, VitaUpdateBlocker only works on 3.51.
Should I just update from 3.36 to 3.51? 😐
As I said on the previous posts to those who wanted to install the PSM Dev for Unity and needed some files through CMA, if you still getting the “Update is needed” message, have your proxy load up (admin privileges), configure Vita network to run through the proxy, reboot and connect again. It worked for me every time.
Buy PS3. There is plenty of them for even as low price as 30$/30 Euro with broken bluray. For Vita you won’t need it anyway.
An PS3 has plenty cheap and great games too.

You can get pretty darn close if you’re patient and know how to do basic repairs. I bought a slim that needed a new laser and a fat that I just had to hold down the power button and reset the hard drive data. I paid $40 for each. I bought a used laser on eBay from a YLoD with assembly for $20. I paid more for my E3 Flasher lol
In my country those bargains not exist, ps vita new cost $ 330 and in some stores even more, ps3 today cost $ 440 new and ps4 $640. And i’m talking about sony official store and if you find someone who wanna sell their ps3 or vita they will give you for 80% to 60% the original price claiming that they are almost giving it to you for free.
If someone could sell things with international prices here or bring those bargains of ps3 with blu ray broken for $30 to $60 it will be like christmas all year.

Same here. Every console is expensive in my country. You pay 35% more than the actual price.
What about ebay and buying from countries where there are plenty of used consoles? In EU it would be Poland, Germany, England. If not, I would try US, there are even more of them 🙂
I’ve bought mine for 60 euro with shipping, but it was fully working.
And it was FAT CECH-K04, really good batch which are nearly SLIM (same 60nm processor and graphics chip). Not YLOD one.
Ps3 with broken bluray are cheaper.
of course your not gonna find those deals in your stores there most likely talking about online deals, unless that is what your talking about and no one ships to your country.
If they ship from USA it’s mostly to USA only or internationaly. And you can always ask.

I’m from Mexico by the way, and mostly use it watch movies (Blu-rays), and to play emulators, God of War III and Uncharted, and some random PS3 exclusives, since I play mostly Xbox360 because of the controllers, I find them more comfortable =)
LoL he’s not kidding. And even better is you can buy a bluRay Laser and fix that if you wanted to and have fully functional ps3.
Use vita update blocker for now, you can still access psn but can’t play online in some games, hopefully in due time we might be able to write a file that spoofs the FW or even use PSM to activate an exploit or some other way, the vita has many doors opened up now theres no way of knowing what the future holds! 🙂

I remember sitting on FW 3.03 on my first psp waiting for a solution so Im able to wait for good progress. Hopefully I can start to help in the future. Just need a lil more education and understanding.
Yes, you need more understanding. You have a PS Vita not PSP.
I understand i have a vita. I was talking about the long wait psp users had on FW 3.03. I also have both apps and the hello world running. As far as education and understanding, i was referring to the fact ill be starting my second year of college.
In this article it says that 3.36 can run package installer. How do you accomplish this? I have the UNITY Dev app now I’m just missing the Dev Assistant

Yes, patience is a nice thing… I have no problems with that, with 2 vitas on 3.36 with custom bubbles and psm and psm unity installed plus a vita with 3.52 and a PS3 per PSN account it’s easy to wait….
But I see the other side, many guys have only one PS Vita with 3.51 and psm unity instlalled, they have to wait, and no chance to play the newest games from the store… As I see: Badlands a new indie game needs a update to 3.51 to run the game and I’m sure, new realeases force to update do 3.52…
If you have a Vita you don’t have a much choice if you want eCFW or native homebrews – either PS3 or second one updated to newest firmware on the same account.
Some stuffs I wanted to happen on the Vita
1. Multiple PSN accounts (like the PS3) or at least not having to format the Vita or memcard when switching accounts
2. Video out
3. Enable taking screenshot to games that does’t allow it (I’m looking at you J Stars)

..Patience guys, patience. You must implement it in your life, otherwise you will run into accidents again and again one way or the other which sometimes lead to deadly consequences.. For example, driving your car way too fast on the road, cutting cars repeatedly too close, changing lanes way too quick without checking, going waaay 10+ above the speed limit, and ultimately crashing another car potentially killing/hurting someone and/or the driver.. guess what then you have to deal with insurance, deal with court, and deal with charges…. do ya want to deal with ALL THAT?? Automobile accidents and deaths happen about every day man. IT AIN’T WORTH IT!! NO RUSH… Just take it easy! Relax.. 😛 But okay, okay, sometimes you gotta love that speed and adrenaline though, right? I know, I totally get you.. it’s cool and it feels awesome when you’re speeding up… but come on man, the roads aren’t Nascar racing tracks, seriously. Seriously hope there will be some Emulators coming out of the gate soon. More than likely, there will be the easy ones made first, like NES, GB/GBC, SNES like with the 3DS Systems. More than likely, any highly complicated Emulators will be harder to do. Unless for now, there is a way to Port/Convert the Emulators for the PSP to the Vita.

Guys I’m very confused at the moment about this. I have a license as I’ve been a psm dev for awhile. But my vita using the unity app says it can’t detect my key , how should I go about fixing this ?

Probably a great amount of us do not have Licence Keys. Probably a good bet to wait till one is not required or patched

What you should ask yourself is, “Is it worth it to dance to SONY’s tune with a console you bought and you are entitled to do whatever you want, while SONY dictates you what to do with it and spy on your content (CMA), in order to give you pety sales on pety games or keep your privacy, freedom and dignity and give SONY a cup of her own poison ? You can do what you want, you are a free man after all, but after the fiasco with the VITA memorys that cost 2-3 times more than other cards, and the CMA that spies on what I do on my VITA, I prefer the hacks. Also, no, I don’t like piracy either and I loath it because the companies use it to point the finger on hackers and reverse engineers that like to challenge them, but the only piracy that I root for is the memorys. I want someone to make them, and trust me they will, then let’s see how much more the VITA will sell.

Three days ago, I heard about Rejuvenate for PS Vita.
The situation is that I don’t have any PSM installed on my Vita, and no more applications to install/upgrade to install pkg files in case of the PSM for Unity.
I don’t have access to the PSN, PS Vita Update Blocker doesn’t work anymore on 3.51.
So should I wait… Or pass to 3.52.
Please help ^^
