I once teamed up with a camera crew from vice docuemnatires and hired two aboriginal trackers and headed to china to try and find and interview the makers of gateway. Our search led us to pass three industrial sized cartidge printing factories and into a forest where a 10 by 10 foot shed sit in the middle small opening and inside resided a 4 year old chinese boy. He could not talk english but he welcomed and treated us with food and gave us some free gateways then sent us on our way. All in all it was an exciting trip and has made me want to start travelling again! Unravelling the mysteries of the world 1 at a time.

I have an old 3ds on 7.0 and was thinking on picking a Gateway card but then ordered a new 3ds in 9.7 and rather picked up aSky3ds card so it will work on both systems, can’t lie: I’m pretty excited!!

Good,Good!!I’m really looking forward to the official release of the firmware! As with beta firmwares like this firmware very often hangs when exiting any 3DS games on my 3DS.

Was wondering… what’s the point of pyrate flashcarts with Pasta CFW now released? Aren’t Gat3way and Co. a) going out of business, or b) taking shady measures against Pasta?

    • ModChipGuy says:

Pasta isn’t where gateway is. If you can live with some of the downsides or wait for it to develop more it can become a silent killer.

    • Crzo says:

As far as I know you still need Cubic Ninja which goes for $45, Pasta is really buggy to launch, you have to re-run the exploit every time you reboot your system and have to be dealing with other things like having a 3DS under 9.2 and installing all that *** which makes 3DS noobs like me a big hassle to understand.

      I just bought a new 3DS and it comes on 9.7 so…

Flash carts are a lot more noob friendly than buggy CFW’s.

    • Reprep says:

Agree with you. If you are at or below 9.2 firmware and have a cubic ninja cartridge, flashcarts don’t have much appeal.

***, where is the N3DS love!!!!

I still miss my NDS XL. I was saddened by the flash cart community and the destruction of a great handheld.

I will say this. I fear that the same will happen to the 3ds. 40 – 50 bucks a game sucks but being able to get those games at all is better even with the price tag. I miss my NDS XL.

i agree DSi XL was a great handheld. I still use it from time to time. Its build quality is much better than 3DS/N3DS XL.
