Can’t wait for Ps vita Firmware 3.55 ^-^

  2. solveig says:

I guess it’s just my luck that I’m on 3.36 and can’t have an access to my PS3 until July.
can I maybe download dev on my PS3 now, and then in July transfer it to my vita? or it will be too late, and I should run dev until 31st of May?

  3. Pa0l0ne says:

maybe…now we need a nand dump if in the future something goes wrong and there is the need to reinstall the Psm on our Psvita..

  4. The Batmannn says:

    I have a 3.18 Vita.

What are my options to get this hack?

  5. blazing says:

Shall I update the PSM vita app or should I leave it at 1.00?

    • jdj says:

Depends on yyour actual firmware, all i know is 3.18 needs 1.14 and the following i think 1.15?

      • blazing says:

My vita is on 3.51. Should I install the app’s latest update?

        • anonanon says:

Yes, the version of the vita app doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t update it past 1.15 (Current latest app update) till any new updates get checked.

Only reason 3.18 needs 1.14 is that 1.15 requires 3.35+ to run, and so 1.14 is the latest a vita on a firmware below 3.35 can run.

          • blazing says:

Thanks. What about the PSM Runtime Package found in the vita settings? Shall I update that too?

          • anonanon says:

That shouldn’t matter, update it if it asks you to. I’ve got 2.01 on mine, if that helps.

          • anonanon says:

The only thing yifan has mentioned is important, is downloading version 1.21 of the SDK on your PC. yifan is stated that the versions on the Vitas side does not matter. Saying that, it’s a good idea to not update past 1,15 for the app, and 2.01 for the PSM run times (Assuming that is the correct latest) or your Vita past 3.51 until the updates have been verified to not block the hack.

SO if I have 3.36 THe only way I can get the assistant would be to update firmware and killing my current exploit with HotBrain er whatever? I don’t have a hacked ps3. Everyone keeps failing to mention you ps3 needs to be hacked to transfer the file to the vita. .. or am I wrong?

If Im on 3.36 with hotbrain exploit do you recommend i go for the plunge and lose ll my current emulator/PSP homebrew access to get the assistant which in the future may grant me access once again? Am I overreacting and/or not understanding my options? Plz help

    • jdj says:

It doesnt have to be hacked until 3.18

    • anonanon says:

If you know anyone else with a vita, use that to download it (You’ll obviously have to put your memory card in and log into PSN on it) then back it up via CMA. You can then transfer it over to your lower firmware vita.

If a second vita, or hacked ps3 aren’t options for you, I don’t think there are any other ways to get it on the vita other than updating.

  7. kevinc says:

I used vita update blocker to commect to tbe store and download psm dev, and as u probably know 3.50 is not the latest firmware.

  8. Wreckreant says:

Hope s0ny got a big barrel of yifan lube cuz I’m about to pounce dat! I have on my 3.50, what’s easiest to get it to my 3.15?

  9. Asukafag says:

Serious question here, I have 1.06 firmware, should I update to specific firmware with qcma/opencma (like 3.18)? And then use vita update blocker to get dev assistant assistant…

  10. aramaru says:

so i was offered 2 download choices, unity and sdk. as expected i chose first unity choice but then quickly clicked second option in hope of obtaining both but on jap psn page both unity and sdk seem to be same file. should i try todelete psm dev for unity and try to instal other one or isit ok ?

    • anonanon says:

Not sure if the unity one will be useful, but the one you need is the other one. if you navigate back to the URL, you should be able to download the other one. They are separate apps, so both shouldn’t link to the same app.

      • aramaru says:

thanks . i looked at files again and it seemes that they are indeed separated. for now i have both downloaded and instaled. i hope that time of vita native homebrew will be soon upon us

  11. rclr says:

Do you have to download the psm development app on the ps store?.. I just went to psm Web on my vita and download the app there..

  12. sann says:

dedo do meio para sony… kkkk

  13. ioriel says:

Update or Not? , my logic tells me : Webkit vulnerability is looking for a way to get a native exploit ,but yifan says that he already gained access to a native level on the ps vita so I think there is no need to stay on lower firmware anymore right? , on the other hand if I update mi current 3.12 all the psp stuff will disappear (and IDK when we could install al that sutff again , development takes time 🙁 )

  14. UncleHeffy says:

So it seems they’ve discontinued the service.

Oh well, I found this too late.
