How to: connect your lower Vita Firmware to your PC via Wifi

Hi guys, I made this tutorial because I saw that many Ps vita owners can’t connect their Ps vita which are running on an old Firmware to their PC through Wifi without touching their routers.
Requirements:
- Ps vita running on an old Firmware (tested on the version 3.18)
- Wifi connection which both the PC and the Ps vita are connected to
- Downloading QCMA
- Ps vita cable
Steps:
- Install QCMA
- Execute QCMA, Go to “settings” then “Other” then enable “Offline mode” and set “CMA protocol selection” as Manual then choose the appropriate version in “CMA protocol version”
- Enable the Flight mode in your Ps vita then switch it Off
- Power On your Ps vita then connect it with your PC using the cable through the “Content Manager”
- 5eave the “Content Manager” and disable the Flight mode then remove the cable and connect again but this time through Wifi
- Now you can still connect through Wifi until you Power-off your Ps vita or If you used PSN (which requires to Update the Ps vita System)
- Enjoy !!!

and yes I still haven’t received the PSM Publisher licence, applied the 8th
also typo at step 5 “5eave the “Content Manager””
Typo at “the “Content Manager””””””””””””””
I tried this when I was on 3.36 (when the latest firmware was 3.50) and it didn’t work.
I don’t take this many steps to connect my Vita through Wifi, this wouldn’t help me anyway. PSV TV doesn’t have USB, and one of my Vitas has a busted USB port that I charge using a modification I made to it.
I use VitaUpdateBlocker, set the proxy on my Vita, then QCMA in offline mode and right firmware selection. After that, all I need to do is restart Vita and connect. Always works, every time on my 3.18
Kinda seems pointless to use a CABLE just to connect WIRELESS
I just have to use cable one time then connect everytime without using Playstation account
i hope abdulec dies a horrible slow painful death. his tutorial was awfull and his votes were rigged. that rat stole my 10$ psn code by cheating
Bitter much?
Salty
Def need some salt for that Burn!
How did you know ?! X’DD
Use the vita blocker 1.2, change the PSV proxy to the address displayed in vita blocker, I really don’t see the difficulty, but with all the cable and airplane mode… this is REAL difficult.
Difficult !?
Any ideas on why my PC won’t detect my Vita?
Have you opened QCMA? I say this because that was my first issue xD
CMA opens on the background automatticaly when you turn your PC on, QCMA needs manual opening of the app.
Wifi or USB ?
Both
It’s just my PC though, I can connect my Vita no problem in my parent’s laptop, but for some reason my PC won’t even detect and autoplay the thing.
Specially weird, because it did when I first bought it, after messing around with QCMA and lower firmwares I was never able to do it again.
try to reinstall QCMA, it may fix your problem or post your problem on QCMA thread in the forum 😉
Thanks man, will do.
BTW, great tutorial, really cool that you came here to answer people’s questions!
too late 3.51 update came above 3.18
Exactly, too late… By a half year lol
Both my ps vita 3.18 and 3.36 work with qcma via wifi, all I do is start up vita update blocker by skfu and follow the proxy instruction, start qcma and open up content manager via wifi and it will connect.
Could you show me the way you’re doing it ?
dont work, 3.30.
not work on 3.50
Sony win piracy games Vita:(:(:(:(?
Is it possible to sync trophies with this?
You can’t access to PS Store through this method 🙁
No, you can’t use your PSN account 🙁
No !
Is there a way to access the PSN Store via this method? I couldn’t quite comprehend the point of connecting to your PC other than watching videos from it. If I wanted to get a game (say, an old exploit game) from the PSN Store, could I download it to my PC and then transfer it to my Vita this way?
I see that many people tried this method and said that it’s not working, you must follow the steps exactly, I can’t confirm that this works on the others Firmwares but it works on the 3.18, I’m sorry if I couldn’t help some of you x(
