    I don’t fully understand this,what it means,that they copy the blu ray disc data to thd HDD so they can use it even without a disc on the tray or something?

      I guess so, remember that CFW allows you to use homebrew, emulators, plugins, etc, so by saying that maybe he means that only official PS4 software can be run on the device from HDD without any disc or even a license for PSN games.

      I just translated, but what I do think is that the original “author” got a trick to download/install games on a HD and now he is passing it along on how to do it, and then the “companies” who got it, will sell a clone-our-hd service and install that on customers PS4s. But thats just my guess, of course.

        Olá Amigo, sou do Brasil e aqui em São Paulo, mais especificamente na Santa Efigenia que é um tipo de capital da pirataria, aqui esse desbloqueio já está rolando, eles lotam seu HD de jogos, sendo necessário apenas uma midia de um jogo aleatório no console para se conseguir jogar qualquer jogo que esteja no HD, o processo de desbloqueio é ainda um segredo por aqui, mas ja tem muita gente fezendo. Vou esperar pra ver antes de fazer no meu console, isso se eu fizer mesmo…

    The other night, I had a dream about something regarding the PS4. I am sure this has been tried and found to be not working, but without seeing an article on it or a YouTube video on it (from a reliable source), I’m just wondering if my dream could have some truth behind it. IF you use a retail game (for example, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare) and installed the game. Then made a back-up of the game onto a recordable Blu-Ray disc and inserted the game in the PS4, what would happen? The system just needs the disc in to “verify” the game….but since this article has a listing of “games available”, do you think its possible that my dream I had a few days ago has some credibility behind it? It sounds kind of like you send your console in, they rip a game to it using an original disc and send your system back to you with a burned copy of the game. The list of games features launch titles and some more modern ones.

      It is safe to assume that you cannot burn a PS4 game on a regular blu-ray, not without a significant amount of work, or special discs. Protection against such basic copies has existed since the PS1.
      You are right that the technique probably is related to installing a “legit” game at some point then tricking the license mechanism, but I’m pretty sure it does not involved copied blu-rays

      I know the game would be encrypted on the HDD.
      I’m guessing theres a few levels of decryption happening like your hardware would have a key and the disc would have a key in an unburnable part of the disc.

Show some proof… If I Google a picture with a dog’s *** connected by USB with a PS4 and say “I can play pirated games by doing this, but it’s a S-E-C-R-E-T…”, would anyone would pay me for this?

        I’m not a troll, I’m a real person and I don’t need to prove anything to you people. I’m not going to share this with anyone except wololo. I believe he can see my email address, so he can contact me anytime. In case this technique might somehow be useful in hacking the ps4 down the road, I would rather hand the decision of leaking it out to the public to someone trustworthy.
        Plus, I’m not entirely sure if the trick I discovered is the same one brazilians seem to have come up with. And yes, the whole thing can only be used solely for piracy at this point, I don’t want to be associated with stuff like that.

      Well, Paulo, first of all I never bashed my country. Like I said in my previous articles, it was not until then that I revealed where I’m from. Second place, read my previous article and you will learn a number of things like:

      – I wrote that precisely to defend my country against prejudice
      – I got a very good college degree education
      – I have a set of skills that make me do quite well money-wise
      – This type of rushed, unthought and uneducated post is exactly what I think is wrong with brazilians no internet

      Even if after reading that you do not (want to) understand, I would think that you are the one with education problems, since you can’t read proper english; so I suggest you not to get a college degree, but a high school one, and later if you want to be civil, we will talk. Regards.

    If you are so determined to pirate games wouldn’t it be more frugal to build a gaming pc because I can tell you how much I have saved from steam sales as I personally don’t agree with piracy but steam is absurdly cheap anyway.

    If i said it would be pretty much impossible for Brazilians to come up with this, if it is from a Portuguese then this is even more far fetched, trust me i would know, i have contact with them almost everyday (if you feel kinda ashamed of being Brazilian when it comes to the internet, its about the same as being Portuguese).

    Two things may be happening here, 1 this is not related to the medic games post. 2 this is indeed related and may be the origin.

    I for one wont give credit to this, as 1 its most likely a big SCAM, 2 even if it may be real, this is just a bug something that sony overlooked, this is not his code, and most likely doesn’t have code at all. once found out it will be patched easily.

    What makes me wonder is the reports of certain “scene channels” leading to believe that the medic games post may be real, is it related to this sonic_fps i don’t know, but if it is then i have lost hope.

    In fact this is just some piracy trick that doesn’t really bring anything to the scene.

      I do agree with you as a whole. I don’t whink that this is some kinda of code-related hack, but more like a bug one, and thats why it may be possible for people with supposedly less skill to pull this off.

      Also, what makes me think that it may be related is that medic games made their announcement few hours after the last post on that forum.

        indeed, and another clue… how likely is SONIC_BH the same person as SONIC_FPS, i have seen that name related to some sort of ODE on the ps3, called DivX ode…

        Could they be pulling something similar but without the use of an ODE? I don’t know.

        but again back to the usual scene channels this came across as legit, but may be a simple bug, not a hack not a device…

    If this is real, and just about piracy, then I hope it’s not released. We don’t want Sony consoles to take the same turn as Nintendo consoles. Again, if this is real (I have my doubts) the author has stated this just allows piracy, which likely means the author has found a way to run Sony encrypted content not tied to the account. If that’s the case, then this wont bring us any closer to hacking the console, and will only enable piracy.

    heck no the ps3 can backup games using multiman. If that’s what the PS4 can do then so be it.
    Then that means the ps3 cfw still wins by ALL hacks and homebrew than the ps4 1 hack. Man that’s the weakest hack ever.

    What I found is that there is actually a Dev named as sonic_fps on YouTube ….but what’s different is that the real sonic_fps is a Brazilian but posts all of his hacking work …such a great accomplishment should have been published on YouTube …but certainly the user sonic fps has posted nothing since 2 months …so how can I believe that even if it’s the real sonic_fps ..for me it’s still a hoax

    I bet they’ve found a way to Add a cloned account on your PS4 and then restore the games to the ps4 internal hdd,
    being it in Brazil, you can be sure nothing will be done by the authorities. As it’s usual here. Stay cool, the method will spread.

      Well, I respectfully disagree, for the following reasons:

      – The use of “partilhar” instead of “compartilhar” (share), which is not common in pt-BR
      – He uses “efectuado” (pt form) instead of “efetuado” (br form), which means “done”
      – He uses “actualmente” (pt form) instead of “atualmente” (br form), which means “currently”
      – In one moment, he says: “Como todo o portugues e habitante neste mundo nada se faz”, which translates to: “Like every portuguese and habitant of this planet, nothing is done…”, which makes me think that he is indeed from portuguese origin
      – He says: “vais” (pt form) instead of “vai” (br form). Here in brasil we tend to use “você vai” much rather than “tu vais” (you will)
      – The same way, he uses “edites” (pt form) rathan than “edite”ou “edita” (br form)
      – He structure his sentences in a very portuguese way, like “não somos nós a decidir” intead of “não somos nós que decidiremos” ou “vamos decidir” (it’s not up to us to decide)
      – He uses “contacto” (pt form) instead of “contato” (br form)

      Is there any reason to think otherwise? Maybe his origin is from yet another portuguese speaking country. But it’s very unlikely it is from Brazil.

        I´ve read your reasons and i respectfully accept them, but bare in mind that he uses expressions that are NEVER used in Portuguese from Portugal, hence my comment. Things like “estou vendo” (gerundio) or “usoários” “bobas” are absolutely never used in portuguese from portugal and i have never seen a portuguese write like that (just to say thats not accent dependent).
        Also “He structure his sentences in a very portuguese way” he doesnt, it is at most comprehensible, but not well written by any means. If you have a portuguese familiar, ask him to read the text. he will agree with me.

        With this im not saying that he is brazilian for sure, nor am i saying that he isnt portuguese for sure. Im just saying not to deprehend one thing or another from his writing

        If i had to guess though i would say he is either portuguese living in brazil or brazilian living in portugal. (especially due to him selling the “method” only to a brasilian costumer).

    Still sounds very fishy, firstly, any legit hacker would be out for fame and not for the money. (And if he is for the money it would be for a heck of a lot more)

    That price range he is selling it seems just enough for a good believable one-time scam.

    Lets say he did find something, a bug that lets you copy some games to another hdd.

    For 96 games at 60$ that would be 5760$ in total.

    So 1,700$ that’s worth around 28 games if you buy at retail.

    Out of the 96 games im pretty sure the number of games you would actually want to play would be a lot less than 28.

    GUYS ! one guy in our city has gaming club with 20 ps4 in it, so He told me that he doesn’t pay for games, he gets free digital copies, and offered me any game for almost a half price, so i gave him my ps4 , and in about 2 hours I got my ps4 back with PES 2015 istalled on it, no any other account on my console, I play it with my own account, I just think if it is related to that “bug” said above, or just somthing that I don’t understand

      You can try to proof it to us. Make a video showing all the accounts on the PS4, and going to the PS Srote to show that you do not “own” the game. Also show that the BD tray is empty or with a different game. It’s easy to “proof” if it’s actually real.
