Did you get “South Park: The Stick of Truth” for $4.99 two days ago? Good for you, because that was a “pricing error”
Those of you who follow us on Twitter or facebook probably got to the deal in time: South Park, the Stick of Truth, was sold at $4.99 on the US PSN a couple days ago.
The game had never been that cheap on any platform, and considering that it retails at about $20 these days, that was a pretty sweet deal. I actually couldn’t resist, got myself a copy, and I must say it’s awesome so far. The game has a 85 metacritic score, great reviews on Amazon, and was part of our “Games of the year” article in 2014.
So, yeah, if you’re a South Park fan in particular, or own a PS3 in general, South Park the Stick of Truth is pretty much a “must have”, in particular for $4.99.
South Park Stick of Truth is $4.99 on US PSN! https://t.co/Cpe6Qz4STa folks not in US can buy PSN codes from Amazon: http://t.co/FNGLQDWE66

When the deal was first announced by Twitter user @Wario64, the official Playstation account retweeted it (this is actually how I learned about the deal), only to announce a few hours later that this had been a fluke:
Update: Due to an error, South Park: The Stick of Truth was listed on the US PS Store at an incorrect price. We apologize for the error. — PlayStation (@PlayStation) March 19, 2015
So, if you’re one of the lucky few like me who got it for dirt cheap, good for you. If you missed the opportunity, remember: follow us on twitter or on facebook, and you’ll have better luck next time 😉

Note: this was a US offer only. If you don’t live in the US, there are still lots of benefits in creating an account on the US PSN, to snatch some of these deals. I explain in this article how you can buy US PSN codes at face value from Amazon. I’ve used that technique for years back when I was in Japan, as I didn’t own a US credit card or have a US billing address.

How much is it now?
$19.99
1st! kiss ma rear, im awesome!
*facepalm*
I got it because I usually check the PS Store when the update goes live. I told my friend and he didn’t get it because he was thinking about it lol
I finished the game the 3rd day it was out.
Finished it pretty soon after release too, couldn’t get me away from it!
Man, I hope there’s a sequel but I don’t seee it happening, although you can do nay story, the amount of references in the game wer only so many
I had no life until I beat it lmao.
I wouldn’t go that far myself, I would however say that i will look back very fondly of this game for some time to come, a game has never made me laugh that much before, Deadpool came close, but not as good.
I knew you’d love it! 😀
seriously, if you haven’t played the game, get it!
