This is it. After an unreal stream of exploit releases over the past few days, it seems the last entry points to a PSP eCFW on vita firmware 3.36 have been closed, at least in the US.

Unless you’ve been totally absent over the past few weeks, it is likely at this point that you are either running some flavor of homebrew on your 3.36 console, or you just don’t care about homebrews… if for some weird reason you missed the stream of exploit releases over the past few weeks, then it’s pretty safe to say you only have yourself to blame.

It all started with an exploit for Patapon 2 back in January. Sony quickly pulled it from their stores 2 days after the announce. A few days later, Numblast is the one that followed, with yet another exploit. Another exploit was then announced for Hatsune Miku: project diva extend. Once again, Sony removed those games from their stores within 48 hours of the announcement.

But Qwikrazor was on a spree of releases, and announced (and released) exploits for Arcade Darts, then Hot Brain a few days ago. Here again, after a few days, Sony is removing those games from their stores. That’s a total of 5 exploits released over the course of 2 weeks.

There will most likely be a new firmware release that will patch those vulnerabilities, then we can probably expect these games to come back to the PSN.

It is interesting, however, to see that some of these games have been a treasure chest of exploits for hackers: Patapon2 was already the target of the very first public release of HBL (VHBL’s ancestor). That was 5 years ago.
