Release: Patapon 2 VHBL Exploit for PS Vita Firmware 3.36
You have waited for this, and Qwikrazor delivered.
This is the release of the exploit files for the Patapon 2 exploit for PS Vita firmware 3.36.
This is the first release of an exploit for the PS Vita firmware 3.30 and later (up to 3.36). This release requires the European, North American or Japanese Version of the Patapon 2 game.
This does unfortunally not work with Patapon 1 and also does not work with the Patapon 2 demo version, it has to be the bought version of Patapon 2.
You additionally need one random full PSP game, that we will have to use as a base game for the VHBL. Patapon 2 and the exploit in the game is pretty much only used to set up VHBL for another game, a game without limitations.
This random full PSP game must not be one of the 3.18 exploit games (e.g. Talkman Travel, this cant be used) and it must not be a Minis (e.g. Fieldrunners, this cant be used either), but it can be one of the previous exploit games (e.g. UNO or Gravity Crash Portable).
It can be nearly any full PSP game, but we recommend a small game, for example UNO (this is the one I used).
You have to set up a signed EBOOT.PBP at first (via fake_np or sign_np) and create such a signed VHBL EBOOT.PBP file for your base game.
Then you have to change the PATH.TXT file inside of the Patapon 2 exploit savedata and add the Game ID of your base game (e.g. NPEH00020 for UNO). If you dont know the Game ID, google it or watch my video.
After you did this, you drop this signed VHBL EBOOT.PBP into the exploit savedata folder of Patapon 2 and copy the exploit savedata folder and the VHBL01234 folder from your PC onto your PS Vita.
After you did all these things you run the Patapon 2 game, which then automatically triggers the exploit, sets up the VHBL for your base game, and in the end exits Patapon 2 by itself. Patapon 2 should show you a loaded savedata at first, then a grey screen and in the end a green screen.
The last step is restoring (or updating/refreshing) your PS Vita database. Either you power off your PS Vita and start it while keeping PS-button + Power + R pressed, or you can use your own way of refreshing the database (if you know a better one, that is).
After you have refreshed your database, starting your base game (in my example UNO) should now launch the VHBL with great compatibility, instead of the base game itself.
Be sure to NOT delete the Patapon 2 savedata file (after you have a successful VHBL on your Vita). Due to some bug it removes the license of the base game too, which then stops you from using the VHBL via your base game.
If you did not understand everything, feel free to watch my short explanation video, in which I show you how to set up all the files, find your base games Game ID, create the fake signed EBOOT.PBP file of the VHBL and a faster database refreshing trick.
The VHBL for Firmware 3.36 has special patches which enable you to add content into the /PSP/GAME/ folder without any kind of folder rename trick.
You can simple just move files in there, as if the PSPemulator has no protection for that direction. This also applies for EBOOT.PBP and PBOOT.PBP files, their protection is also gone, if you run PSPFiler via the 3.36 VHBL.
In the end I would like to thank Qwikrazor once again for all his work and his dedication to work on something for the public.
If you want to gift him a drink, feel free to donate him a buck or more.

The real losers will be the rest of us as our ability to
develop information niches will decline and the number of voices that will
be heard on tthe internet wkll drop. As the name
denotes, shared web hosting means a number off small to
medium-sized users upload their websites and “serve” them
up to the Internet from a single, shared server.
Makinng a website isn’t enough; it has to be added
to the internet through website hosting.
