Could VHBL be used to move games into that folder?

    • Aymeric says:

Yeah with pspfiler if it’s works on the VHBL release of the game, but now we can have TN-V for all exploit game on FW under 3.30 so it’s better than VHBL 🙂

      • hello says:

I have been trying to move files to the PSP/GAME folder using both PSPfiler and PSPlorer but they won’t let me copy files to that particular location.

  2. Kye says:

obviously we’ve been throw in the deep end here but any idea if this is compatible with 3.01?
is it worth uptating to 3.18 whats the quickest loading kexploit for tn-v?

    • reprep says:

it works on 3.18 so it probably works on 3.01 too.

if you want to update to 3.18, gladiator begins files are available. most probably patapon files will be available too after a few days. for the rest, i don’t know, it just depends on people willing to port ecfw to these exploits.

about which one is quickest, i don’t know. still if i were you, i would just buy gladiator begins and have fun. it is not instant loading, but it is not too bad either.

    • Bonki says:

I downloaded Tekken 2 with my second Vita, transfered it via OpenCMA to PC but cant copy Tekken 2 to my Vita on 3.01 –> Error Message

      • Ricky D says:

You can’t transfer any PS1 or PSP content to older firmware Vitas using Open CMA anymore. You’re going to have to download it to a PS3 and use the Open CMA trick where you connect the Content Manager, then pull the USB cord out of your PC and then put it in your PS3 to transfer it to your Vita

        • kye says:

okay. downloaded tekken 2 to 3.01 vita. lost survival mode. black screened and error message. so perhaps not compatible with 3.01

          • Ricky D says:

I doubt that but I can’t say for sure. On mine I already have TN-V running and installed the PSP 6.60 PSP firmware via that so maybe that’s your issue

          • Albatar says:

You guys are saying *** !!!!!!
I’m using 3.01 and the superbike’s loader is working fine.
Btw I can transfer superbike from my pc to my vita on 3.01 with no problem

          • Albatar says:

I’m using eu store btw (france)

          • Kye says:

Got a blue screen and no error message if I boot tekken through tnv. Us version

    • fate6 says:

I do not know if the PS1 exploits work with 2.01 since I have only ever used them at 3.15 and 3.18

  3. tn0w says:

It works, This is awesome Thanx!

  4. niszczycielnpc says:

I wait for tutorial for making ps1 exploits ;D that could be cool i have only driver and crash team racing ;/

  5. marios92 says:

But PS1 loader has nothing to do with TN-V, right? (so can’t use plugins, for example…)

  6. Stupid question says:

Is it possible that I just start either of those games using TN-V, then launch the exploit with it? or not, because I am still in the TN-V environment so it would not be compatible? correct me if I am wrong.

    • Stupid question says:

Will it actually jump to the loader via TN-V then totally neglect TN-V? if not, then I am stupid.

      • Ricky D says:

You’re going to need 2 exploits. You’re going to need either TN-V or VHBL (TN-V preferrably) to get your PS1 games installed to \PSP\GAME and then you’re going to need one of the PS1 exploits to run the PS1 games with full sound support

Anybody that’s trying to do it with just the PS1 exploit game is probably not going to be able to get it to work

        • Stupid question says:

This doesn’t really answer my question.
I am probably stupid, but @fate6, could you answer my question please? if the answer is no, you can just say that I am stupid. I’ll take it.
If no one is going to answer, I’ll just try it myself. But, it probably wont work. I’ve tried launching VHBL through TN-V, so it might experience the same fate.

          That’s funny, fate.

          • Stupid question says:

I forgot to say, it crashed when I loaded VHBL through TN-V.

          • Stupid question says:

That is true for the later versions of the TN-V. But before, with the earlier versions, VHBL could run perfectly fine when I launched it via TN-V. I don’t really understand it’s system. I just need confirmation.

          • Stupid question says:

That is true for the later versions of the TN-V. But before, with the earlier versions, VHBL could run perfectly fine when I launched it via TN-V. I don’t really understand its system. I just need confirmation.

          • Stupid question says:

I also forgot to say that I have two exploited games. One with VHBL and one with TN-V, so I can launch the one with VHBL through TN-V.
I am currently downloading the XS Moto PBP and going to try it myself (I am not going to lie and say “I am currently dumping my XS Moto PS1 CD)
If someone answers and confirms my question, I’ll hit cancel button.

          • Ricky D says:

How did I not answer your question? You’re going to need to actually purchase the PS1 exploit game so you have full access to the PS1 emulator to get full sound support. You’re also going to need either a TN-V or VHBL exploit game so you have a way to install your PS1 games

If you don’t want to buy one of the PS1 games to run the exploit, then wait for TN-V version 11. I believe he said that he has the popsloader plugin working and ready for the next release

          • Stupid question says:

            Well, that’s more clear, Thanks.

        • Stupid question says:

But, you should have answered my question first than make another point.

          • Ricky D says:

Why are you being a ***? Is it my fault you can’t read? I didn’t say anything in my second post that I didn’t say in the first one. If you need your hand held you probably shouldn’t be messing with this kind of thing

    • fate6 says:

Not sure how much you know about the ePSP but when you start a PSP game the ePSP runs a near 100% copy of a real PSP but without the media engine which PS1 games use for audio, This is what made getting sound hard.

Now if you start a PS1 game from the live area the Vita runs the ePSP but this time enables the media engine, If you start a PS1 exploit from within TN-V the Vita will never be able to set the flag and thus no ME.

      • fate6 says:

I should also point out that while the ME is enabled the Vita disabbles a bunch of other stuff, Think of it like this.

When running a PSP game the Vita disables anything that PSP games dont need, Like the ME

When running a PS1 game the Vita enables ME but disables other things that PS1 games don’t need, Can’t remember exactly what gets disabled but it makes it pointless to use for anything other then PS1 games

    • agp670 says:

no, you can’t do that because to get fully working sound, you need to start a ps1 game (sploit game) straight from the vita menu (when you start a ps1 game the vita enable some can of sh..t, lets said like drivers, those makes sound working. that doesn’t happened if you start first the TN-V )
any way you need your TN-V exploit to put ps1 games in PSP/GAME

      hope this help you.
PSDTA: sorry for my english, i dont speak well.

  7. Belmondo says:

The tekken 2 us exploit still doesn’t work .

    • Ricky D says:

Yes, it does. I’m using it now

      • Belmondo says:

Which files did you use for the US rls? I have Tekken 2 EU working on my EU account.

        • Ricky D says:

I’ve got the US game and using the US files. I’m sure it can/will be ported to to the EU version like TN-V + VHBL can be ported to different regions. Give it a little time. I don’t think any of this was planned to be out right now

          • MrYoso says:

I cannot make it work on my US Tekken 2 game. Always black screen and then an error notification will appear after a while.

    • fate6 says:

afaik only EU was ever really used so IDK if the US files ever worked :/

  8. FATH says:

there is no Sports Superbike in german PSN Store 🙁 what to do? i bought tekken 2 but it seem to be sles and the files are slus

  9. Jan says:

i cant find it nether, and tekken2 EU seems not to work :/

  10. Aymeric says:

Load Error for me on Tekken 2

  11. Narles says:

I have US version of Tekken 2 on my Vita at firmware 3.18. I transferred the exploit save files over and lost a survival match but all I am getting is a black screen and then a PS Vita error. Has anyone successfully gotten this to work with the US Version of Tekken 2?

  12. Ricky D says:

There’s an issue with the PS1 loader. It only lists 15 games not counting the Tekken one. Could you increase the limit or make it to where you can use multiple pages for a larger number of games please?

    • fate6 says:

I completely forgot about this bug!
You would have to ask someone with more intimate knowledge on the menu which iirc TN was the one that made it.

      • Ricky D says:

I would ask him but I believe he may be a little ticked off right now. I thought about making a post in the forums about it hoping he sees it, but not really sure the best section to post it in since it’s not really TN-V related, VHBL related, etc, etc

        • fate6 says:

Well if you do post about try the TN-V forum anyway since it is his work but he is really mad about losing the PS1 exploit.

  13. jaykay says:

So Sports Superbike 2 isn’t available at the EU store and Tekken 2 files are for US version only?

  14. madusmacus says:

Well I bought superbike 2 from EU store – im UK – I did this 2 hours ago and it works ok
Now if I could find out the format name convention and where the games go :¬)

  15. jaykay says:

Yeah same here, i wonder if Tekken 2 EU isn’t exploitable or if they just didn’t bother to release the files for it.

  16. jaykay says:

Thanks for the link, got the Tekken EU files now and they’re working 🙂

  17. madusmacus says:

Could anyone explain where these ps1 are put
as a test I put GAME1.ISO in PSP/GAME with no sub folder and the loader does not see it
thanks for helping a noob (if you can :¬))

  18. prinsr says:

@jan can you upload the eu files to another host please, can’t seem to download eu files of tekken 2 from zload

  19. reprep says:

i really wonder where the save files of tekken 2 euro came from. they weren’t in the original leak.

  20. anubis889 says:

does this exploit allow you to change discs for multi-disc games? also, is the only way to change games by existing xs moto and starting it back up again?

  21. Sascha says:

Does it work at firmware 3.01?

  22. Jan says:

Uppss. Sorry wrong file, here is the file for Tekken 2 EU: https://mega.co.nz/#!rolEDLwI!aGs9xhDXme4CFjVv92UAjoAT_DaLXV8sPDzeoIqgqCQ

  23. attichris says:

Will this work with JP Tekken 2? I’ve just got gladiator begins, wondering if I should get this too. Thanks!

  24. Swing says:

Ok I’m confused. So I had eCFW on my VITA 3.01. I then updated to 3.18 so I could play my vita games online etc. However I did save my exploit game and everything else incase I bought another VITA. Will I be able to DL this PS1 game and the exploit and be able to install eCFW on my 3.18 VITA? Or is it just to be able to play PS1 games with sound on VITAs that already have eCFW??

  25. RiotDX says:

So does this run PS1 games at full speed that TN-V had issues with? Things like Final Fantasy 7-9 and Chrono Cross?

    • Ricky D says:

It runs full speed. I only tested Mega Man X4 and Final Fantasy VIII, but it’s flawless

    • Febs says:

Yes. I tried Vigilante 8 2nd Offense with both TN-V through Gladiator Begins and XS Moto. The XS Moto version runs at full speed compared to TN-V which has slowdown and sluggish moments. Though, both doesn’t have background music like ePSXe on PC. I don’t know the problem comes from my Rom or something. Honestly, it was worth for me only if I didn’t have to have an excess $ from PSN card…

  26. Rhuminus says:

Megaman X4 (and X5) are on the store now, so half the reason I need this is gone! But this is very useful for the Megaman/crash/spyro games not available for Vita

  27. [C*] says:

I just tried Tekken 2 EU on 3.01 and it worked perfectly. Thanks to all that made this possible. Now I can play every PS1 game and PSP game on my Vita. No need to cry about region lock, I can play all the 60FPS PS1 games now :).

  28. Dan says:

Anybody had the Tekken 2 US working? If so which files are you using? I tried a bunch and none are working, only blackscreen and error.

  29. Lymus says:

Interesting, let’s see how it will work with some specific games i have in mind.

    also … Naynspassu~

  30. blehh says:

Tekken 2 EU with EU files getting black screen and error message. Any ideas?

  31. Hudson Terrace says:

    wow…. perfect!!
    Thanks a lot

  32. kk says:

I can see my games bit it says corrupt data? Any ideas?

  33. [C*] says:

Oh man I kind of regretting getting the Tekken 2. More hassle to get the exploit going than the bike game, and it takes up more space! But I saved myself a £1…Should I just get the bike game and make it easier for myself?! lol.

  34. snakekill77 says:

I keep getting “An error has occurred. (C1-2858-3)” black screen….I’m using Tekken 2….What am I doing wrong? Do I have to have TN-V running in the background or something in order for the ps1 loader to work…we need a step-by-step video or instructions please…

    • fate6 says:

Tekken 2 seems to be having lots of issues, Keep in mind that this was never planned on being released and as such is in no shape to be released.

You could try asking in the forums or maybe someone else with your problem has got things working and posted how.

  35. Walala says:

Yo dont tell me I just bought Tekken 2 US and the only working version is the EU version. Can anyone confirm it works with a US copy???? And if you do, please post your save file HERE please!!!

    • fate6 says:

The loader does work but seems to be broken right now, You will need to see if anyone has managed to get it working and hopefully posted how or if a dev has fixed the US save.

  36. PspJunkie says:

Will this run ps1 games that never worked on Psp? This could be quite good if it does..
Btw, Tekken Us save does not work but XS Moto Us works a treat and is a lot smaller file size. So US region users save yourself $6 and don’t buy Tekken2. Thanks devs for the early Xmas and I hope you guys can somehow resolve your issues. Hate to have the scene go away..

    • fate6 says:

It is just running 6.60 pops so I assume any game a 6.60 PSP has trouble playing would still be a problem.

No idea tho since as you can see from that video I don’t exactly have many PS1 games on it.

  37. snakekill77 says:

@PspJunkie I wish I would have read your post much earlier before I spent $6 on Tekken 2…got Xs Moto instead smaller in size and works mich faster…thanks man! Sucks I wasted $6 lol

    • [C*] says:

Don’t worry I’m same as you. Tekken 2 was around £1.50, but I didn’t want to deal with the survival mode stuff (and the big size) so I just bought the Bike game for around £2.50.

Shame I wasted the money, but I didn’t read the post fully, I just choose Tekken 2 as soon as I saw the post since it’s a game I have nostalgia for! Oh well, no point crying over some pocket change.

  38. Jan says:

Tekken 2 costs in Germany 1,99€ xD

  39. otar says:

Where is PSP/GAME folder? I can’t understand where I have to put those Eboot files. Thanks
