Prepare yourself: TN-V is coming to Firmware 3.18 via Gladiator Begins & Z.H.P.!
While we have already told you, that a new kernel mode exploit for the PS Vitas PSPemulator has just been released, we did not tell you, that this will definitely allow the execution of the TN-V eCFW for the PS Vita at Firmwares up to 3.18 in near future!
Japanese Developer 173210 said, that he is currently working on porting TN-V to the Firmware 3.18 Z.H.P. – Zettai Hero Project exploit, which will enable you to run TN-V at your PS Vita, as long as you have an exploit game.
If you do not have an exploit game right now, keep reading…
Since people like proof, have a video of TN-V running at firmware 3.18.
Usually a kernel mode release would happen via a ninja release, so most people can get it, but this time it is a bit different.
This one was pretty much a ‘forced release’, since ‘a lot’ of people got access to this private kernel mode exploit, and most of the people were unauthorized.
It is sad that people can not keep their mouths shut about this, and that they share the work of others with 3rd parties.
Usually we would have released a new kernel mode exploit for the very next major firmware, e.g. 3.30, and bundled it with a new usermode exploit game, but I’ve already told you that it is different this time.
If you do not have an exploit game right now, then be sure to grab the PSP game ‘Gladiator Begins‘. It is 10,99€/7,99$ in the PSN Stores and won’t be available for too long!
If you miss this chance, or if the game is not available in your Region, then simply stay tuned, don’t update your firmware higher than 3.18, because we are going to release a new excellent VHBL exploit game for the firmware 3.30 (after its release).
The firmware 3.30 exploit game will work at firmware 3.18, and it will be able to run TN-V at firmware 3.18, but not 3.30.
The new game will be able to run VHBL at 3.30, but not TN-V, since Sony will now, most likely, fix TN-V in firmware 3.30.
It sounds a bit dumb to release it now, but this is qwikrazor87’s very own work and therefore his very own decision. Take what you can get and use this kernel mode exploit up to firmware 3.18!
The file release should be pretty soon, so stay tuned!

Wait…so does this mean as long as you have ANY exploit game, you’ll be fine, or does it mean you need ZHP or Gladiator Begins?

I don’t really NEED TN-V and can settle for VHBL if that’s not the case, but… it’s tempting if I can have both.

Well I just finished downloading the game, waiting for the exploit to be release. I’m surprised, normally when someone *** off programmers, they don’t release anything. I hope they don’t renig on releasing the exploit for the sake of me wasting 8 dollars on that game.

Fun Fact of the Day!: This is actually the second exploit in GB as the first one was patched a couple of updates ago! Even better is that it works on the demo!!!! Sucks you can’t get it on the Vita or this would be the first “free” release :/

Of course, but I would hold off until they actually release the exploit for 3.30
New 3.30 game = exploit game for firmware 3.30 (If 3.30 does not surprisingly patches it).
New 3.30 game running at firmware 3.30 = FW 3.30 + VHBL
New 3.30 game running at a firmware older than 3.30 = TN-V, e.g. 1.00 TN-V10 or 3.18 TN-V10 (This wont work for 3.30, 3.30 wont have TN-V support, even if the game could run VHBL at 3.30).
I have a question.To make a backup of the exploit, the only i have to do is to install cma, then opencma, connect psvita via usb and transfer the game with the psvita application cma. But, i have to make a backup of the game or the complet system?

No, in web PS Store, both demo and full game are PSP-only titles.

Still, I think I’ll skip this one. I realized that I don’t need this THAT much when I bought Space Invaders Extreme and used VHBL like two-three times.
But TN-V gives you much more options with PS1 and PSP games.

Yeah, but I have Persona 4 Golden, Persona 3 and Persona 2 on my Vita (also FF X/X-2), so when I finish those, there will be another TN-V or even native Vita hack (who knows?).

Ah, this was very unexpected, and I haven’t been carrying my Vita with me since the delay announcement.
I’ve purchased my game through the webstore and added it to my download queue for my device. It’s on flight mode at home. Is that enough for it to work or am I probably fuxered?

While it’s in flight mode, it won’t download of course. Once it’s taken from store, you won’t be able to download it anymore, even if it’s in you Download list allready. But i realy don’t think it will be taken down that fast.

-To avoid system uptade, what i have to do?
-I did a backup of the exploit with opencma, but , why do you have to disable wifi and enable flight mode to transfer the game, if we are in 3.18 actual firmware?
-Do i need to do that whenever i want to transfer a game, supposed we are in 3.30?
Yes, otherwise the Vita can “see” the new firmware and refuse the transfer files, until you disable internet and reboot the vita so “it forgets”.
1-Disable Download Update File for System Software on Auto-Start Settings.

But there are some retards that copy the savedata (a simple savegame, your game PROGRESS, a SAVE) and then complain that the game (THE ACTUAL GAME ITSELF) does not appear at their Vita.

Works Great!! Thanks everyone involved :). Never updating again. Until something amazing is add to the Vita. My advice, everyone should get two Vitas. One for Homebrew, and one for Online and OFW purposes. At least thats what im working with now.
Hey! I’ve downloaded the game and the save and have loaded it onto the Vita and followed the instructions. When I get to the point to install the files under the advanced menu, i get an opening error, where the files don’t install. I’m running 3.18. Anyone have any advice? It’d be much appreciated!
