“‘the system stability has been improved’”

    Huh?
When I updated mine, it said it added captions or something.

  2. Tnutbutter says:

Might aswell update since they don’t have any custom firmware for any past OFW 3.55

  3. Silverton says:

    3K3Y users cant update either

  4. Razorbacktrack says:

Block all ODE’s with all models of PS3 except the SuperSlim models that have been “blocked” with 4.55

  5. DarkVolkaN says:

There is also a new feature! You can now press Triangle button on games and manually check if there are any updates for a game without starting it! (but you have to do this manually one-by-one, no batch etc)

Why didn’t they add that feature years ago, when my router would freak out every time the PS3 would connect to it? I had to update every game by plugging the system directly into the modem…

  6. NNNRT says:

This update also brings wireless DS4 support.

  7. Patrick says:

Here’s hoping that it didn’t “fix” the PS3 Open CMA trick.

  8. Fritz says:

is the Open CMA Trick still working with the Mandatory Playstation 3 firmware 4.60 update? Thanks in Advance!

Not sure if this is the same update that was required afterwards to go online, but in the update for PSN (I think) in the small print it said ‘you cannot sell disc based software’. Does this mean you cannot sell/and or buy 2nd hand games as they are ‘registered’ to the original buyers PS3 ?

    • jonas says:

disc based games aren’t tied to any account or ps3, so you can sell and resell as much as you like
the only games you can’t sell are digital copys, but even those can be shared and installed to up 5 different systems
