Will there be a new release of a PS Vita eCFW in near future?
A few months ago Sony fixed the kernel mode exploit, that was used for firmwares 3.01 (and below), which therefore disabled the ability to run an eCFW at a PS Vita with newer firmwares installed.
Despite being fixed, there is a chance for another kernel exploit in near future!
A new kernel exploit for Firmware 3.15?!
Developer Acid_Snake said in his ARK-2 beta testing thread that they could potentially release another kernel mode exploit in the future, as long as they are satisfied with their ARK-2 testing results.
A new kernel exploit would enable the usage of an eCFW at the PS Vita firmwares 3.10 to 3.15+. An eCFW would enable the usage of self-created PSP game backups, the execution of PSP homebrews and the ability to use most PSP plugins.

A new kernel exploit for the firmware 3.15 would not mean that TN-V gets ported to this firmware.
Since TN left the scene, and was so “kind” to not share his sources with well-trusted and capable developers, he would have to port TN-V to firmware 3.15 himself. Otherwise there would be no (stable) TN-V for firmware 3.15, despite having access to a kernel mode exploit.
It is currently not known when or if this new kernel exploit will be released, but we expect to gather more information about this in the future!

I know you guys are working hard to get this stuff working on the Vita… but seriously? 2 *** years in… and all we have is VHBL, and eCFW, the Vita hasn’t been hacked yet, and I don’t think that it’s as super hard to get in as people claim, sure, Sony did a great job at locking the system up, but it’s not impossible. The problem is, that everyone focuses on porting VHBL to other PSP games on the Vita, nobody is trying to exploit the Vita OS, and the few people that are doing it, aren’t getting that far. Why? Because they are few, and Sony did their best to keep us out. If we continue only focusing on VHBL and eCFW, Sony will win, and we will never hack the damn thing.
Go ahead, focus on the Vita, send us your hack when you’re done.
Beautiful xD
So, to decrypt the nand you need the AES.KEY for the ps vita to be decrypted? Or is it a longer process?
Total Noob, “noob”? Where? The noob here it is only me mannnnnnnnnnnn!! uheuheuahuahehauh… good job, i love these guys…
Did Total_Noob leave the scene or nah?….cause damn.
