How to: disassemble your PS Vita (by Juniorlee)
Note from Wololo: This tutorial was initially published by /Talk member Juniorlee, as part of our monthly tutorial contest. Juniorlee won the best Vita tutorial prize (a $20 PSN Code) for his entry. You can find the original post here.
In this tutorial we will be dismantling a PS Vita step by step.
Step 1: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the back cover.

Step 2: Once the screws are removed, lift the rear of the shell by rotating your vita, taking care not to tear the cable of the battery.

Step 3: If you want to remove the touch pad.
Unscrew and remove the battery.
Then disconnect the touch pad cables.

If you do not want to remove the touch pad.
Disconnect the battery and touch the cables and then skip to step 5.
Step 4: Peel off the touch pad using a specialized tool or using the back of a Precision Tweezers.
Step 5: Retake the console. Unscrew the cover of the wireless card. Disconnect the cables who are connected. Then disconnect the wifi card in it.

Step 6: You can now get an overview of the many layers of the motherboard.
First, begin by removing the SIM card slot.
Then remove the rear camera.

Step 7: Remove carefully what is under the L button (the button layer) and then remove it.

Step 8: For removing the other layers, it’s always the same principle as the L button. Precision pliers will still be a useful tool for your manipulations.
Once all the layers disconnected, you have just to remove the modules, joysticks and buttons.

Step 9: Unscrew and lift the motherboard being careful to the layers of the LED screen. Disconnect them.
Then disconnect the camera.
You now have the motherboard in your hands.

Step 10: Last step but it’s still the hardest.
You must remove the plastic of the frame and of the top part of the shell (where is the LED screen).
You can use to make this easier a hairdryer. Make nevertheless careful not to heat too close or too long or you may melt the plastic hull.
You have finished removing all parts of your PS Vita.

To get the PS Vita back in one piece, you must repeat these steps in reverse.
I hope a lot of people will be helped by this tutorial.

how to remove the front screen?
Place it in an oven.
leave it alone for a night and the vita elves will take care of it for you
umm i cant figure out how to put it back together o_O
solo mira las fotos al reves XD
Rule 1 when disassembling anything that may take time to reassemble : Take pictures of EVERY STEP you do to ensure you put everything back together correctly. This goes for screws being removed, to board layers, etc. Not sure why that’s not mentioned in this tutorial (though, images are provided regardless), but even then, it’s always good to ensure that YOU as the one doing the DISASSEMBLING know where each piece goes.
heck, even using little sticky-notes help if used to point out changes. (Preferably, the ones in shapes of arrows!)
Thanks, that’s a very sound piece of advice here
