With this the Vita will become the new PS vita TV.

  2. lololow says:

dat photoshop skillz on the picture tho.

  3. Epoke says:

If that can be achieved with lesser cost around 40-80$ i would pay to have the schematics…

  4. xiaof says:

    I hope that.
    That’s cool.

  5. mut3k1 says:

Even mirror from PSV to PSVITA TV would be nice – at least then you can stream and capture without even connecting the Vita to anything 🙂

  6. ved says:

It would be soooo sweet! Please do it!

  7. jacey1972 says:

We all seem to be overlooking the 6 to 8 foot HDMI cable we are gonna have hanging out of our Vita’s so we can sit comfortably on our sofas playing on our wall mounted TVs! Then the dog comes running in gets snagged in the cable and rips it out.
Or baby brother or sister keeps pulling it out of ya vita!
Not all of us gamers are under 16 sat playing in our bedrooms!
Its a great plan but let’s look more into sending the signal over WiFi to your WiFi TV.
Yes I know some people may not have WiFi TV but come on! Cables are so 80’s 😉

What on earth happened to Katsu releasing his super cheap & easy video out mod? He said “I’ll give details soon.” on Feb 1st but never did!

  9. pcb_revival says:

What would the resolution be from the stock Vita.

As for referance Vita TV outputs at maximum 1080i for Vita and PSP software and 720p for PS1 software.

  10. twisted says:

Looks like someone decided to delete my comment, not sure why?
    Here it is again!

What on earth happened to katsu’s super cheap & easy video out mod?
He said “I’ll give details soon.” on Feb 1st and hasn’t said anything since!

    • nazar_ops says:

He decided not to release the schematics. He said: because people would use the idea and mod PS Vitas to random users for a fee without crediting Katsu. Which sounds totally BS to me. The mod is fake I bet.

  11. jacey1972 says:

Nobody deleted it twisted its up there ^^^^^ lol

  12. Kira_Slith says:

I find it hilarious people keep suggesting things that would very much be a software mod or acting like their vita won’t need to be opened to do such a mod. Your fake stupidity will impress nobody, and if you honestly are being serious then i want to live in your world because everything there must be butterflies and cotton candy.

    • lolwut says:

if i really need it to record gameplay footage then i’ll buy VITA TV. TBH if it’s possible to make internal miracast based mod then it will more enticing. 😉

    • anonanon says:

Have you even read the description f the video you posted? The Vita needs to have a mini usb port installed, therefore needs to be opened up to connect the port. You idiot.

      • annonnny says:

Idiot! do you even own a newer model vita? or any vita at all?The slim and other models DO have a micro usb port… Do the research before opening your trap and leaving stupid comments

        • Mike says:

… No. This is a SEPARATE PORT that jacks into the video output. This is NOT the Vita’s data port.

  13. nevercall says:

that would be great… you cannot expect $ony to be doing this anymore for it would kill the PsVita TV.. 😀

  14. Mud says:

I just got borderlands 2 for the Vita and despite the reviews I love it.
I would love to play it on my TV with out firing up the old 360.

Only complaint on BL2 is that there’s only 2 players online and the game can run hella slow/ bad frame rate on multi player. But so far great playing solo.
    Just FYI

  15. CycloneFox says:

I would love to be able to play with my Vita on the screen. I’m thinking about buying a Vita TV as soon as it gets released in the west, just to play Persona 4 Golden with my friends on the couch. It would be so great to seamlessly switch between the big screen and the Vitas screen.

So yes, please make it happen. It’s one of my most desired features of the Vita.

  16. wielku says:

Actually tv-out is the ONLY thing that Vita is missing. Just think about it if they were to do vita 3000 there is nothing they could change(maybe comeback to OLED but that would be dumb because battery) and if I could get my Vita to output without computer to my TV I would be playing so much more of it

    • monte carlo says:

Actually it is missing the other needed thing to go with video out, dual shock 3/4 support. The PspGo has both and I expected Vita would as well but, no luck. I think it was a step backwards myself to cut out these features from the Vita. I do still love it though, just that I see it being so much more capable than what is being put out for it.

  17. wtf says:

***! Is that seriously the poll? Who is this ***?

  18. Buck Knaked says:

Time to get a MiraCast or Chromecast-type wireless video solution for the PS Vita. Go big or go home.

  19. bungalow559 says:

this might be a weird suggestion but could we maybe not just video out but maybe video in a well ive yet to see even a tablet with this ability ps4 on vita with no latency

  20. Madjet says:

Wouldn’t it be easier to get someone to leak the original cable design for the mystery port and clone that?

    • Rosa says:

Mohan, Thanks for the inoftmarion. As mentioned in my post, the issue is the utility of these orders, if the cable TV operators are showing these movies (without permission) they are guilty of copyright infringement and there isn't any need for an injunction to deal with them, there are penalties under the Copyright Act.Suchita

That’s really thinking at an impressive level

    • I just remember an other SF touching that theme, written by a japanologist and an astronomer, whose novels and stories are very highly esteemed in the russian science community. Below the film version and , obviously with interesting similarities and differences to Stapledon's novels.(, , )

    • It’s much easier to understand when you put it that way!

    • I must say, as much as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a good grasp on the topic matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from a lot more than 1 angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so a lot. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just heading for a gut reaction to the topic. Think about adjusting your personal thought process and giving others who may read this the benefit of the doubt.

  21. edukarlo says:

that accesory port can be used for an official video out cable.. all that sony needs to do is a firmware update, and release the cable.. im pretty sure that port has a purpose!!

  22. edsrafed says:

I’ve been fiddling with my dead vita for weeks now and I notice there is a hdmi chip on it installed.
here’s an idea what if the hdmi driver of ps vita tv can be integrated to ps vita.
given that there’s a way to modify the ps vita software.
off topic: any body here has a map for ps vita jtag?

    • Buck Knaked says:

So, any update on what you’ve found with that dead vita and the onboard HDMI chip? Could a cable be made to connect it to that mysterious port and connector? What a great mod that’d be. If you could get the pinouts for that onboard HDMI chip, then a cable could be made that brings HDMI video out of the Vita. Va Pour Sa! Show it at PAX Seattle (end of this month)!

    So errm dead?
