PS Vita firmware 3.12 soon to be released!
We waited more than 3 months for a new PS Vita firmware, which happened to drop a few days ago. Some users are reporting that their PS Vita refuses to read the memory card after said new firmware 3.10 dropped, and the tech support of Sony replied that an upcoming update to adress this issue will be available very soon!
The new firmware 3.10 was a small disappointment for some users. Sure, it offered the new limit of 500 App bubbles and brought us some smaller changes in the Content Manager App and added a calender app, but all in all it was a rather diappointing firmware update.
If we take a closer look, then we can see that the new firmware 3.10 fixed all the 3.01 exploit games – But that is not everything! – and addtionally fixed some undisclosed exploit games, which were private and yet fixed.
If we take a look at our PS Vita exploit chart, then we can see that there happen to be some more exploit games for the firmware 3.01, some of them are even very familiar.
Now it is time to wait for said firmware 3.12 to drop, and hope that this will not patch the charles proxy and the ‘download queue’ methods we currently have, to add content to our beloved exploit 3.01 PS Vitas.

Does the charles proxy method still works? When I tried it the last time at firmeware 3.01 I wasn’t successful, that’s why I thought it has been fixed with the latest market update!?

But what happens now with this firmware update? Will Charles stop working? Or will Charles work no matter what?
Hmm, at least we know that Sony hasn’t given up on patching the vita.
…Just hoping I catch the next exploit for 3.1x; I was an idiot and interpreted that World of Pool would work for 3.10 and updated from megamix. That’s what I get for just skimming over the information; I lost $5 and my exploit.

“Small disappointment” What are you talking about? It delivered what people wanted. The ability to store more apps on live area. Maybe it wasn’t exciting for you, but it certainly wasn’t an useless update.
In general, it was more disappointing than adding surprising new cool features.
They enhanced the app limit, but they could have done that in every previous firmware, even from 3.00 to 3.01.
The did not add one thing that shouts: Wow, I need this!
I know it is just a 0.09 update, but it is pretty disappointing for said firmware step.
After nearly 4 months one could’ve expected a FW 3.50 with new cool features and not this meh FW.

But for an update that took four months to release it’s a very content less update. The icon limit could have been fixed way faster. (I know they added dualshock 4 support for vita TV and a few improvements to content manager and message app but why could they not release this update around the release of ps4? )

You are in the right place. please sign up for the forum. it is free and someone there will gladly help you. you either will need a 2nd vita or a ps3 to transfer downloaded games from psn to the vita, and a pc will work for transferring the tn-v game save to the vita. you will need to use opencma.

i don’t know if the other through the same situation like me or not, but after i updated firmware to 3.10, ps vita won’t let me use the camera fiture, it always shows me some error code,
i found it’s really pain in the ***, and i hope the next software update will fix this issue.
“This wasn’t exciting. They took a useful feature that we wanted that fixes a long-standing limitation to the system and gave it to us… but it could have been done before now, so for some reason now we act like we don’t care, and dismiss it as unimportant.” Makes sense.
So what COULD they have done to make this “exciting” for you guys?
They also added the ability to send voice messages, which I’ve found to be a fun feature.

the main reason for this update was 3.10 bricked 32gb memory cards. i along with numerous other people couldnt even boot their vitas after we were forced to install *** software.

This is shameful from $ony. Memory cards are expensive enough and over priced.
Sony should replace these cards or have an update to fix this. It seems to be quite a few people reporting this problem on the post. Vita FW 3.10 was garbage and unready. and Sony wants people to update, why would you to have this happen. TN-V for life. i dont care to connect to PSN.
Those of us lucky to get TN-V or VHBL will keep what we have. Keep your faulty updates $ony!!!

Thanks for your reply H2Opsv , but i have worked with 3.01 and opencma for a while now and today, NOT working… So with the OLD CMA or NEW one, they don’t work anymore… i can’t transfer to my vita like before without Updating ….
When the update launched, I could no longer use my Content Manager. It says I need to update to 3.10. I thought I had open CMA, but it still won’t let me. Am I totally sc***?
I just wish they would put this money/time into marketing for the vita instead.
One of Sony’s biggest pitfalls is that their marketing is always lackluster

All u have to do to use open cma on 3.01 if it says update..just put Vita in Flight Mode,then restart the Vita, then connect to computer again. Mine has done it twice, both only after leaving it on all night and the update auto downloaded, just deleted the update..but hit Flight, restart and boom!
Thanks man! It worked, I just copied over my “World of Pool” from PS3 to Vita. It also works on Open CMA. Guys just do as he says and put your vita in flight mode. GG Everything solved. 🙂
