Really useless mod imo. Why would you put LED lights on the back pads if you never going to stare at the back of your VITA anyway? When you’re playing a game, you’re looking at the screen, not what’s behind the handheld.

    Kinda useless imo.

What’s really useless is your opinion. This mod may not work for you, but someone else may want to do this exact mod. Watch what you say.

    • Relickushking says:

Nazar_ops Its not a useless mod.If you want to you can put the leds anywhere except buttons & touchscreens,& if someone wanted to have leds on their electronics they normaly would have to pay 45$ on avg. At certain online retailers like exotic pc & such.Furthermore it is obviously something some people would use to make their vita look cool in the dark,& possibly even to make buttons more visible in the dark.So if you dont want or need leds then thats on you,but to say its useless because you dont personally like it is to be a bit of a self centered *** esp. Considering the op took time out to post instructions,& several others like myself found it to be very useful.

I suddenly felt bad after seeing that vita hardware mod 3 of 3 was the LED one(s).. but wait, the title was changed from “mod 3 of 3” to “mod # 3”.. so there is now a chance for “mod # 4”.. still crossing my fingers that it will be Katsu’s HDMI out mod..

  3. Stranno says:

Wololo. Any update about the HDMI output from xmax katsu? I dont know if you keep contact with him. There hasnt been any news for weeks.

    Do you think is real?

    • NNNRT says:

It is real. All you have to do is be calm, patient, & wait.

    • Yifan Lu says:

Well, regardless you would need hardware very similar to the USB video mod. In fact, you can buy the USB video mod, and reprogram the FPGA to output TDMI signal and then replace the usb port with a hdmi port and it would work.

It looks cool but nothing useful

  5. NNNRT says:

I would rather do the trigger & the power/volume button mods than this one.

  6. Blankets_McGee says:

can this also be applied to the front LED so as to add different color schemes other than the orignal blue? or maybe even three different ones (green, yellow, red) to the power source as a battery level indicator?

    • zakaiya says:

You would have to stick with the that color scheme for example blue, purple, green all take 3V minimum. The red, orange, yellow take 1.8V minimum so mixing them didnt work. I found out the hard way when I tried to mix blue and orange leds. ><

      • Blankets_McGee says:

I see. would you be able to use the other schemes together if you had say a step-down regulator to switch between the two voltages?

    checkout my buildmess
    psplinkvita build or try one

got some working but no tools work
boot271 in 6xx mode works booting from psplink3.0
    into psplink2.0 tools
    plus adding nethostfs
but c error as soon as i connect

    provide me patches
and lets run it on the current exploit!

i seriously need patches for the tools dont i ?

  8. ivo says:

make me a tools patches for build and runtime and INSTALL.ZIP
msys command generation for following tools:

    prx tools
    pc tools
and any prx menu u would like to test ?

sorry if this build i uploaded doesnt work for u right now
but its just something ive been busy with the few weeks ago

    it doesnt install right away
    needs a vsh reset
and only vitalink has installed so far …the other is from scratch without nethost

what if a vitamod could make us run psplink in vita mode ?
    is there even kernell ?

  9. ivo says:

  12. Shapeshifter says:

Will this work for a psp 3k? I’m curious to try but I’m a bit faint hearted when it comes to opening up stuff

  13. ivo says:

one adress for a vitalink app

  14. The Jay Doctor says:

Stand by. We are working to solve the photo issues.

  15. Jam says:

hmm… this really is enticing me

To the rookies who wants to discover their inner electric engineering skills… this can be a good way to start… though it really is dangerous to screw up…

but hey, no pain, no gain!

we’ll be expecting much more difficult mods…
so think about this like a ladder system or something that if you can’t do the simplest steps, you can’t do the harder ones! 🙂
