Man, I’m fan of Metal Gear series and you are doing a great job with these posts, I’m just waiting for you to complete and make a compilation for my own, this must not be forgotten in internet dust.

    Thank you!

    I’ve read a synopsis of MG2 before, but I forgot how much MGS1 copied from MG2 😛

I need to finally play MG1 and MG2 sometime soon…

If you think about it metal gear solid has alot from metal gear 2 and metal gear solid 2 has also alot from metal gear solid (like clone scripts with some changes from game to game)

Well.. It blew my mind, I didn’t realize it at first. The Gustava scene similar to Meryl scene. Maybe there is a soldier named Johnny in this game too, armed with toilet tissue….

No joke but you are covering my favourite game franchise. I never played the metal gears but if anyone gets the chance to play an mgs then don’t miss it.

This game plays with your emotions and pine stealth plays better than any game you have played before!!!!!

Even the online on the latest one was good and it was the only game where I would not want to put my controller down ever and if it was still online 2day then I would be playing it rather than being here:P

Agree with the 10/10 on this one.

This is THE definitive Metal Gear game.

In the same way how I like Square Enix (and most FF7 fans) to do a FF7 remake, I would like Konami/Kojima Productions to bring this game into the 3D world (not the 3D glasses kind) and in Full HD.

I like the balance between the amount of text and pictures by the way – if maybe even show slightly more photos on your next one (Kojima gags maybe?)

I’m completely against the idea of a remake of the originals, mostly due to the reason that the concepts used in these games no longer work for today, which means they would need to change the games entirely, which I consider blasphemy. I wouldn’t mind if they add cutscenes a la Portable Ops style and some voice acting for the codec, it would give the games new life and would destroy the need for a remake.

mg and mg2 were removed from the mgs2 and mgs3 on ps2 in north America
sad that we didn’t get it till ps3

    • Acid_Snake says:

it wasn’t removed from mgs2 nor mgs3, they weren’t there to begin with. mg and mg2 where added as part of the mgs3’s extended edition subsistence.

i didnt knew this game exists! XD
    i thought it was only
    metal gear msx
    metal gear solid psp
    metal gear solid 2
metal gear solid 3 (where the real big boss was)
    then metal gear solid 4
tracing back the cloned solid snake 🙂

    What they build! :O

Gray Fox didn’t blew up the bridge with Gustava in it. Dr Madnar before his death says that he was the responsible for it.
