Hey guys I have got some interesting, exciting, and awesome news for you lot this week, ranges from an apartment set up by Sony in France known as ‘Apartment 4’ and also how although PS Plus in EU has now been downgraded to 2 ps3 titles only, the games are only getting better!

A few decent announcements, glad to see Injustice confirmed 🙂

We also have rumors of a Vita Kingdom Hearts, it may be wishful thinking, as fellow /talk member Vitalovesnintendo says, but it’s still a possibility.  There will be a new Kingdom Hearts announcement in a couple of days at D23 Expo in Japan, but it’s not Kingdom Hearts 3 related. What could it be?

Square Enix seem to be smashing all of these games out recently, we’ve got Realm Reborn being ported to PS4, along with Final Fantasy 15 – Kingdom Hearts 3, Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars, Lightning Returns, and now this, another Kingdom Hearts game.

But hey, I’m not complaining. (My bank is however!)

 

Oh, more news from Square Enix! In Japan, it’s finally got a solid release date of December 26th 2013, which is a pretty odd date to release a game on, along with some more news, Yoshinori Kitase, the game director has expressed some interest in doing a Final Fantasy XII (12) HD remaster for the Vita also – Kitase said:

We’d love a Vita version of Final Fantasy 12… I am also hoping that this HD remaster will open up some great possibilities in the future.

He was also asked why he referred to the Vita, and not the PS3/PS4. This is his reply:

The gaming scene has changed quite a bit from 10 years ago and today’s younger generation who grew up with smart devices now carry these devices around with them to play games whenever and wherever they want, not just when they go outside but also at home, wherever they may be in the house as well. Even when they are in the toilet!

One of the appealing things about the PS Vita is that it allows for this kind of play style. In addition to that, another advantage is that it has a wonderful LCD display that can hold up to the PS3 in terms of graphical quality.

What do you think about FF X|X-2 HD, will it sell enough to warrant another FF HD remake? I’m not too sure. But I’m definitely getting X-2, I finished the first but didn’t get round to playing the sequel.

 

Let’s move on to the awesome PS Plus update of next month, I have played neither games, and really wanted to. ( You know when you’re in game limbo, where you want to play a game, but you know you’ll never get it? Yeah… that is pretty much all of the EU PS Plus offerings.

This month, the EU PS Plus rules have changed, instead of receiving 3 free PS3 games, it will now only be 2. But really, one of the Plus games is usually cross buy so it’s still 3! 😀 (This month, it’s Motorstorm RC).

Tell you what, because of how awesome I think PS Plus is, next month’s giveaway will be 3 months worth of PS Plus, I’d love to do a year but that’s £40/$50 of my own money I’m giving away I mean I’d love to but I’m saving for a PS4!

 

Shopto.net, the video games website has got into a bit of a scruffle with a customer on twitter, well that’s what they thought anyway. A twitter user posted the story on NeoGaf for us to read:

So, it started when I learn that Amazon.co.uk had dropped the price of the PS4 Mega Bundle by £20 to £430. It was still £450 on Shopto so i tweeted them, curious as to whether they would be dropping it too. They privately messaged me saying that no, they wouldn’t.

“Fair enough” i thought. Tweeted that they weren’t dropping the price and said “I wish i’d ordered at Amazon instead”. Which started a conversation with a friend on twitter, during which I said to the friend (and NOT to Shopto) that i would be switching my games to Amazon from Shopto “As a f**k you” – a little overdramatic and childish, but not abusive.

After this, Shopto sends him a flurry of DM’s asking him to send over his account code for profain language towards shopto. (Although it wasn’t)

So the account was closed and his mega bundle was cancelled, bummer.

But after Shopto realized their mistakes, they sent out an official statement apologizing to the Twitter user. And as a way of saying sorry, his account was re-activated and he’s getting his PS4 free of charge. What legends.

 

Here’s the statement from the website:

Earlier today there was a small misunderstanding with a customer which resulted in his account being cancelled by ourselves, for this we would like to apologise.

Basically, while we were talking to a customer via direct message on twitter regarding the pricing on our PlayStation 4 pre-order bundles, the same customer was also talking to a friend regarding our policy. It was at this point the customer swore while mentioning ‘shopto’ in regards to our decision, however as our staff were talking to this customer at the same time, when our social feed showed the abuse (for social purposes we use tweetdeck to allows us to see anytime the shopto name is mentioned on twitter), the staff took it as being directly made to ShopTo. Further investigation into this matter shows us that the customer was not actually pointing abuse at us, but just talking to his friend, so in this case we have to deeply apologise for being in the wrong.

As a way to make this up to the customer we have offered to restore his account and provide his PS4 free of charge.

What’s next on the news list…..  I know! PS4 news (surprise surprise) But it’s naughty dog related! *All faces turn back towards screen*

Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has tweeted a picture of their console showcase cupboard, and it has all of Playstations home consoles (Minus the PSX) set up and looking great, the display of it looks awesome, I just wish I could do that!

What’s this Apartment 4 you speak of?

Well it’s an apartment in France that has been bought by Sony and is being used to showcase the PS4 console, with games ranging from the playroom to Assassins Creed – It looks pretty awesome.

 

Let’s touch upon a developer that I’m a great fan of  – Insomniac. As most of us know, they are developing an Xbox One game called Sunset Overdrive, and it seems they have been trolling their work buddies by taking advantage of kinect’s voice command feature. One employee has gone over to the PA* and said down it “Xbox OFF” which, well, obviously made the majority of the Xbox’s being used power down.

* PA is that thing you hear in the supermarkets ‘Doris to cashier B pleeeease thankyou’

 

Being as we are getting closer and closer towards the next gen launch, some demo units have started to show up for showcasing. This picture was shared by Playstation Germany, so there’s no telling if this is the design for Germany, EU, or the whole world. But still, I think it’s a good design, don’t you?

 

It’s also been revealed all of the PS4 retail unit packaging, and the Xbox Ones. Let’s see who’s is better 🙂

Personally, obviously I prefer Playstation design purely because I think Xbox’s design is too green plain, although I can understand some people preferring a simplistic design. I just prefer waves and blue stuff 🙂 .
