This week I’ve favorited plenty of different articles to sum up for the Wololo readers, it ranges from new Vita games, GTA Online, and digital foundry takes on the PS3 vs PS Vita.

‘Pets’ seems just like Nintendogs with an interesting twist…. the dogs can speak. It’s being made by Sony XDEV studio and their’s a choice of 4 different dogs to choose from.

In other PS Vita news, Eurogamers ‘digital foundry’ took on the PS3 vs the PS Vita, and they also did some frame rate tests for a few games on the Vita comparing them, let’s have a look;

 

And here’s a single frame rate test on Killzone: Mercenary which is coming out next month,and although there are some dips, it seems to have a stable-ish frame rate through all of it, it is definitely impressive for a game on a mobile device:

Little Big Planet however, as we all know isn’t too demanding of a system. So the game maintains a solid 30 FPS through all of it. Pretty awesome.

 

Something very interesting popped up just on Sunday, and it seems that the Spanish division has listed Call of Duty: Ghosts for PS Vita. Now this is pretty good news, if it is a port, but if it is a ‘new’ game with the word ‘declassified’ added to it and handed off to a development team like Nihilistic, then it’s bad news. As CoD: Black Ops Declassified for the Vita was rated 33/100 on Metacritic.

Being as Gamescom is tomorrow, I’ll be waiting to see what happens. And I am blimmin’ excited! I can’t wait to see what Sony has in store for us, I’ve purposely booked myself in for the early shift at work so I don’t miss it.

Although on the tip side, Gamestop has got a history of listing false games, like Assassins Creed: Rising Phoenix for example, they listed that on their German site, yet nothing has been said whether it’s for Vita or not, or even if it’s a game and not a CGI film, which is highly possible due to the watermark ‘Ubisoft Digital Arts’ who made Assassins Creed: Lineage which was a live-action film following the life of Ezio’s father.

 

The current Kinect stands tall not with gaming, but also with education, and in pretty much anything. They’re used at my college and my brother uses then at his University, and yes, another new awesome invention has become of the sensor.

Microsoft has announced how the Xbox One will now be launching in 13 markets, unlike the 21 they confirmed at E3.

The countries they are launching in November are:

• Australia
• Austria
• Brazil
• Canada
• France
• Germany
• Ireland
• Italy
• Mexico
• Spain
• United Kingdom
• United States
• New Zealand

The other countries, Xbox One will be launching ‘As soon as possible’ in 2014.

Microsoft has told us the reason for this, and it is because they were having trouble getting all of the voice recognition done in time.

While we wish we could launch Xbox One simultaneously in these markets, there are many factors that determine the timing of specific market launches. This includes work to localize the Xbox One dash, incorporate additional voice and languages, and build partnerships to bring apps and meaningful local content to each country.

I know what you’re thinking, import it!

Well, what about power supply? Sure you could get an adaptor but can a system of that power, even with a power brick as big as kinect, survive under the strain of a plug adaptor?

Also, region issues. Microsoft said that although games are not region locked, currency-to-console is. Which means if I were to buy an Xbox One in UK, then it’d only work on the UK store, with UK £. Now that’s a bit of a bummer due to money issues, but just do what everyone does as the moment and purchase said currency pre-paid cards and redeem them. Simples! Let’s get on to Nickelodeon on the PS4 now, TV company known as Viacom have signed a deal with Sony to bring their channels to Sony’s consoles and TVs through internet streaming.

Originally everybody saw Xbox One as the games console that does TV, well, not anymore apparently!

Although Sony has so far been seen as the gamer, and Microsoft as the please-all entertainment console, it still is good news to know that TV will be coming our way, no matter what console you buy. Although I’m just hoping the Viacom deal doesn’t come at a cost of $60 a year.

The channels that Viacom provide are listed here, but it’s no doubt that the most well-watched ones will be streamed first, the most famous channels Viacom own are:

MTV
Nickelodeon (etc – Nick Jr. Nicktoons)
Paramount Comedy

I love Comedy Central, purely because it’s home to Futurama.

Gears of War creator, and industry loud-mouth Cliff Bleszinsky, or ‘Cliffy B’ has been teasing some photos of his new project, and it’s hard to think that they are all from the same game. Honestly.

 So, we’ve got giant mech basketball players, a soldier, and a city in a thunderstorm? I’ll leave it up to you to decide what the game is about.

 

As I’ve said in the title, GTA Online was announced the other day and it looks awesome, here’s the trailer for it:

You can buy your own apartment, drive around, and do whatever the heck you want in it, but there are still those core multiplayer games like Deathmatch, and the rest.

Rockstar has announced that GTA Online wont be available until 2 weeks after the release of the game itself.

 

Something I spotted on Qwertee today, and I thought I might share it with you.

I’m not sure if I’ve said or not but I am a fan of naughty dog, and especially the uncharted series, and I squealed when I saw this t-shirt design:

Now this isn’t any ordinary humble bundle, no, none of the money is going to developers, and EA are giving it all to charity! Unverifiable rumor about a PS Vita redesign tricks the internet – Wololo likes debunking rumors and scam websites, and that’s a good thing too. This time he let’s us know about the rumours of a new PS Vita redesign that fooled the internet…. the source it is quoted from doesn’t even exist!
