Humble Bundle, You Are Too Good For Me! The Humble Deep Silver Bundle

The humble bundle is excellent, as well as offering great savings for yourself, it also supports the developers, whoever is on offer at the time. It ranges from indies to the big studios like Deep Silver for example.
The humble bundle over the time I have been following it has ranged from TellTale games including the likes of Sam & Max, and TWD, to indie humble bundles with Hotline Miami and Thomas Was Alone, to what surprised me most – Deep Silver, with Dead Island and Saints Row.
Also to note, any of our wonderful Wololo readers who was interested in Soul Saga, will be happy to know that the beta of the game will be hitting the humble bundle in a few months.
With this humble bundle you get some pretty amazing games:
- Dead Island: Riptide
- Dead Island GOTY
- SR3 DLC Package
- Saints Row: The Third
- Saints Row 2
- Risen 2
- Sacred 2
You will also receive soundtracks of the following games:
- Saints Row: The Third
- Dead Island: Riptide
- Risen 2
- Sacred 2
Deep Silver and the Humble Bundle team have put in a ‘beat the average’, and also a minimum spend. ‘Beat the average’, is just like it sounds. As there are also many people donating, you must donate above the average amount donated to get these games/DLC (Dead Island & SR3 DLC). Also, the minimum spend is set to $25, so if you beat that then you are also given Dead Island Riptide, which retail in Gamestop at the moment is $40, and only came out 4 months ago.
I said in the title, ‘You’re too good for me’ and it really is, my computer can’t run any of them!
I remember reading how Wololo was ‘tricked’ into buying the humble indie bundle, and I’ll mirror what he said. Don’t be an *** and only donate $1, if you want to help out, but your financial situation isn’t the best, then by all means do, I won’t be judging you. But $1 is pretty bad, either beat the average or donate a decent amount so you don’t feel guilty.
These are my PC specs, before I go into the specs, let me put it into perspective for you, I bought it 4 years ago for £300 on the shelf.

Also, a little photo:

So, to run these games will I need an upgrade and if so what should I upgrade… Or just a whole new computer?

On humble bundle you can donate various ways, through paypal, amazon, bitcoins and google.
I just love humble bundle :D, crazy offers. But my HDD is against our love.
Too bad that there isn’t humble bundle on consoles.
Hey, my computer manages to run Skyrim on minimum, so , would it run dead island riptide?
Yes.
Mine can run skyrim on about average settings, and Riptide was about the same. Plus Riptide is a good game.
Though the saints row are the best ones of the bunch. I am not even a fan of these types of games, I hate GTA, but SR2 is pretty good. About half way through now, and will play SR3 next. It is the only reason I bought the bundle honestly. I can’t wait till I have me a shark gun. 🙂
The bundle is worth it for Saints Row 2 and 3 alone.
Just get a new PC.
yeah just put it on your gold amex.. and perhaps install it on your yacht
Don’t forget your $1,000,000 backup PC as well.
Yeah I have a gold plated PC, but I only use it for the HDD when backing up stuff. It has like 1 yottabyte of space but I plan on upgrading it soon.
Since your motherboard is old and may not be as reliable as it could be I’d go for a new build if you can. below is a great website on recommenced parts to pick for a gaming pc depending on what budget you have

Why single out the MB? It’s not like it’s the most likely component to fail… 4 years is fine anyway, as long as he has taken good care of it, I’m sure it has a fair amount of life left in it. Whether he needs the extra power though, is another matter.
thanks thats very useful
Fantastic, thank you for the best work!
the pc is a bit old and you might be able to run the games on the lowest settings but dont take my word for it…and buying a new pc will depend mostly on your budget, so if possible state you budget too…and also what are you using this new PC for? is it all for gaming and watching movies or you also do work on it?
I’m what’s known as a ‘casual gamer’ 🙂
For example this humble bundle, I’d buy it but I have played SR2 and am playing SR3, but they still won’t work on my PC anyway –
My brother recently bought Bioshock Infinite and I would like to play that, but I couldn’t 🙁
So any *new* full game I’d like to be possible to play, I don’t want to brag about my PC, I just want it to play games and run photoshop without crashing 🙂
First nice articel as always minimur.
Second, I can’t remember any good gamed that was directly developep by deep silver and deep silver only.
X2, Vietcong, Stalker,…they were only published by deep silver, so their own library is not that great.
Now for a DECENT pc setup (just a suggestion)
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 (not 4570S and not 4570T)
MOBO: Intel DH87MC (BOXDH87MC)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 WindForce 3X OC Rev. 2.0
DDR3: G.Skill RipJawsX DIMM Kit 8GB PC3-12800U CL7-8-8-24 (DDR3-1600) (F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM)
HDD: System Drive Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB, SATA 6Gb/s (ST2000DM001)
SDD: System cache drive Crucial m4 SSD 64GB, 2.5″, SATA 6Gb/s (CT064M4SSD2)
Power supply: Enermax Triathlor FC 700W ATX 2.3 (ETA700AWT-M)
This setup is not the ÜBER highend, but pretty new and decent, also forward looking to upgrade your cpu later on and also the graphics card.
For all ppl complaining the ssd is not big enough, this setup utilizes Intel® Rapid-Storage-Technologie, IT does not need a HUGE SSD to be more performant than a only-SSD system.
sorry I didnt answer earlier…so it appears that you want a medium powered PC, some work and some play…i highly recommend watching videos from this playlist on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL441D9BF9F40D0E5E
these guys know a lot about hardware and you can look through the list and choose a build based on you budget so watch the videos and if you have any Qs go to there forum they are very smart people and they can help you.

Alright. I am now setting ALL my sights toward the Nvidia Shield. Everything else has let me down hardcore. But this little shield will deliver Fulgore! If you know what I mean?
All follow your nose to the Nvidia Shield and be Happy….
check up on cobra ode there going to release this week
I REALLY hope Minimur either backs up regularly or has nothing important on that drive. I can’t count how many times I’ve told people to back up their PC or phones and they didn’t listen. Loss of important data is the worst.
I bought the bundle on humble bundle, a couple days later i went to show my brother about it and realized that more games were added to the bundle, naturally i go ***….. then i go into my account on there and as long as you met or exceeded the average at the time, I had another link for the keys for the other games at no extra charge. Just though I’d share that for anyone that bought it earlier in the week.
