Microsoft will announce ‘tons of exclusives’ at E3, 21st Is ‘Laying Down The Foundations’

Aaron Greenberg has said that there will “tons of exclusives” at Microsoft’s E3 conference.
Oh boy!
Aaron Greenberg, the Chief of Staff for Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft has said that there will be ‘world premieres’ and how it will be ‘all about the games’
This news comes from a Major Nelson podcast, released a few days ago, and Greenberg said:
We’re really going to tell one story across two events, so we’re going to start on the 21st, and really that’s about revealing the next Xbox platform, really our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment. We definitely have a lot of surprises planned
This sounds great, but let’s hope they’re not bad surprises!
I know everyone knows the Infinity Ward team is hard at work on world premiering the next Call of Duty: Ghosts, so we’re going to see what that looks like for the first time. People are going to get a great inside look at really the making of the new platform and the team that’s brought it to life.
He continued to say:
I mean, to be honest, it’s really about the team, the people here, that’s why we’re inviting people to campus, we’re going to bring them behind the scenes a little bit. We’ve never done this before and so it’s really exciting to be able to do that. But I think it’s a lot of laying the foundation, probably the best way to describe it, and then just a couple of weeks later we go to E3
At the very end of the podcast, Greenberg states that E3 ‘is all about the games’
Like he said above, CoD: Ghosts will be premiered on the 21st, but, will there be more? Well like I mentioned in my weekly blog post, a few days ago, Square Enix posted a twitter status saying
I know. I’ve been such a tease. But next week…the smoke will clear.
The sheet is lifted.
The windows will be…. squeegeed.
You get it.
So, the first thing it lead me to think about was a game that was announced back in February known as ‘Murdered: Two Souls’ now, since the announcement apart from a trailer a few days later nothing has been said. So I bet that this game will be under the ‘world premiers’
If you had no idea about this game, here’s an article on its announcement, and here is its trailer:
Oh, and it has the best game page website ever. Murdered.com , there’s not much on there, just a repeating video of the trailer above.
What are YOU expecting on the horizon of exclusives and premiers?
Their E3 conference will happen on June 10th

I don’t like that first picture. It’s very fanboyish.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Xbox_360-only_games
a big list of craps..dont be idiot, its not fanboyish, its the true..x-bacon doesnt have exclusives, only the old same games..and the microsoft still wanna get you money for you to play online only ? lol not from me, crapsoft.
Does it make a game/franchise better if it is NOT available on another platform? Whats the big deal with exclusives, why would an XBox owner care if a PS3 owner is able to play the same game as him or not? In my opinion “exclusives” don’t mean ***. If the game is great – cool. It doesn’t get better by not being available for others.
It doesnt matter. Its just so fanboys can argue at each other. I own both consoles and play my xbox more.
Id reply to AngryAgain but I cant decode that mess. But it is fan-boyish even though I know its a joke, its not very accurate and the same thing could be said about WiiU.
Its a clean slate, so lets see what everyone has to offer this generation before picking sides.
Uh-oh. An Xbox article posted here.
Xbox Hate Force in 3, 2–oh. It already began.
Oddly, I replied to Jd when I meant to reply to AngryAgain.
Exclusives are good for console manufacturers, not so good for developers, it seems silly to limit yourself to one platform.
EA is also silly for shunning the WiiU, just port the games over, who cares how powerful it is, you’re in business to make money, not to act like fanboys
that list is full of half-truths. It has it listed by games not ip, and most of those games are from 2 to 3 ips, and a lot of those games have updates/upgrades on different platforms. Those that are in the kinnect list of exclusive games, can you honestly say that those are good exclusive to begin with? those who are not gears of war or halo related are ips of companies who still cater towards ps3 exclusives and wii exclusives. By the same coin you’re trying to play i can say naruto and ninja gaiden are ps3 exclusive ips. The argument doesn’t fly because despite the game being exclusive, the ip is not.
Mind you i’m not trying to fanboy, because i don’t intend to own a ps4 or an xbox one, but I just wanted to call bs when i saw it.
Xbosta
i liked the picture, its very funny XD
Get that marcus fenis off the image, he’s on windows pc as well, not exclusive at all.
>Implying PC is a console
>Windows and Windows LIVE is Microsoft
im very interested to see what they will announce. im thinking they grabbed squeenix.
As long as Sony gets ff13vs, m$ can have that horrible diarrhea mess of social games and the rights to the all the bravest franchise/
i dont think Square Enix would go to Microsoft exclusivly, they make the most amount of money from Sony and Nintendo
So from what we will be hearing is about a short time after Sony talked about the PS4 in February, Microsoft started talking to publishers about getting exclusive stuff. It can be games, timely or not and/or DLC. One thing that has made me sick is every call of duty game this generation the DLC went to the Xbox 1st because Microsoft was throwing money around. That’s From Call of duty 3 to Black Ops 2. That’s 7 games in the same franchise PS3 owners had to wait even though we paid the same amount ( besides 3 cause we never got that DLC ). Activision promised a REAL TRUE call of duty experience on the Vita. All we got was a hall baked game with half size maps and still NO DLC. I guess as long as its a Sony product, Activision will still turn the other way.
Actually Sony promised, not Activision. They really weren’t too involved.
Sony is doing everything to make the new xbox look bad though; But there both nice consoles; Now if they had a mouse and a keyboard … o wait.
calm down dudes, im not a fanboy..i have 360, ps3, wii and vita..i just like sony a litle more XD..but i only buy original for ps3 and vita..ill never pay microsoft to play online, its ridiculous..im wanting a 3ds too, but its lacking money :} n in the future a wii u..and a ps4 of course
(most of sony exclusives are very good games, not just exclusives)
Lol that picture is stupid I have all current consoles except Wii U and I have to say I play them both evenly. Fanboys are people that cant afford both. They are both great machines, get over it.
Uncharted kicks ***, Lost Odyssey kicks ***, Halo kicks ***, God of War kicks ***. Its great having both because when one version sucks you can pick the other, example Castlevania is laggy as heck on xbox but great on PS3. Enslaved is terrible on PS3 but amazing on xbox.
Just get both and stop ***.
Let me guess, they renewed their minecraft contract for 6 years XD
exclusive lol
Wow I didn’t read this post just because of the fanboy photoshop.
I’m done with Sony. I was left disappointed with the Vita, PS3 is such hassle at times. I know that PS4 they tout they will fix the issues people had with the PS3, but why not fix the issues on the PS3 instead. Their development team focused on PS4 and forgot PS3. I turned on my PS3 today after a week and had to do an update. Took forever. Downloads off PSN (16gigs recently) to then have to install it (about 30+minutes), to then have to update the new install(gave up counting), is just annoying and something I never, rarely or was not as bothered with Xbox. The only reason I liked the PS3 was because of the BR drive, the discs held more memory that was evident by the better graphics. From what I remember Xbox had the better hardware, but it was limited by what the HD-DVDs could store. No longer the case. I’m on board with the One and if someone gifts me the PS4, hey Ill take it, but I won’t be spending my money on it. This is just my opinion by way, an opinion from a man that like doing a lot of things and sometimes, I just want to sit back and play a game, maybe some rocksmith, and be able to play when I sit down, not 1 hour later after updates, download and installs.
FYI, Xbox 360’s use DVDs, not HD-DVD, games were never available on HD-DVD only movies.
the first picture is just partly true. it shows how much a difference lies between sony with alot of first party studios and microsoft with null first party studios.
the biggest exclusive games were gears of war, fable or halo, which are no exclusive series to the xbox at all, or games like alan wake, mass effect and star ocean 4, which were only time-exclusive. of course there are some gems like lost odyssey, blue dragon or kameo which stay to be exclusive and are pretty high quality games, but they only remain exclusive because they lost the industries focus. the biggest real exclusive might be forza. while games like alan wake or gears remain to come from third party studios, which are only loyal.
you can never compare that to the wide variety of studios and series, sony has. of course, sony lost alot of exclusive game-franchises like final fantasy at the beginning of this generation because of, you might say, their stupidity. but in the end they have a wide spectrum of first party studios like naughty dog, santa monica, gurillia ware, *** punch, media molycule, japan studios and so on. and of course just like microsoft they have a great third-party support with developers like david cage. also they give more possibilities to indi devs and with the more pc-like architecture, they finally are more friendly to other third partys. but the last point is one, that also applys for microsoft.
