Your Awesome/and im first 😀 – all we really need is vhbl
who cares about iso/cso loaders except for pirates

    • Minimur12 says:

      you’re first?!?! well done!

      • Keyblade Spirit says:

No, im is first. I don’t know who im is, but I’m sure that im is a very cool guy!

    • Mangos says:

So, playing gba roms in a console that is not the gba or any nintendo’s one is not pirate?

      • akian_aray says:

Only if you aqquire ROMs illegaly

        • svenn says:

          Well the entire thing is grey-zone; but they don’t care if you don’t buy the console, cause that’s a lose for them (eg Nitendo, sony, …);

          • Kyu says:

It’s not a grey zone.Downloaded roms are as legal as psp isos.Unless of course you were given permission to do it by the original companies.

    • Scarecrow says:

Only pirates? Tell me how you run your UMD Collection in Vita without this, please.

Also, I’m thinking in buying a Vita just for playing Pokemon in that OLED screen, lol, since I’m kind of sick with my own PSP games.

    • SuperiorKnightZ says:

      just passing through…

    • tymeel says:

give us a way to download homrew(vhbl) by just using the ps vita not a computer please i will thank you

  2. Minimur12 says:

    cool 🙂

Im on 2.10 :p may aswell update…. most likely to be forced upon us sooner or later

    • D-TeK-DeV says:

If it ain’t broke, don’t break it. Still don’t update cause you don’t know what the update includes. Could it be an update that fixed a game that included a kernel exploit? Could it be an update that patched a game that was for USA/EU/AU that was able to run VHBL that The Z didn’t test? No one knows. Just don’t update if your vita is doing perfectly fine and able to play online.

      • stOneskull says:

there have been a couple of bugs that many have noticed in 2.11

for example continuous notices about people commenting on others activity.. and then when clicking on that notification, there is another notification stating that that activity no longer exists.

i will be taking note on whether these little bugs have been squashed with 2.12

  3. fardeen says:

anyone still getting download getting paused when in sleep mode? mine just got paused again. but im retrying again

    • Esude says:

I am!! I just found out today that it does this and I don’t think it has ever done it to me before.

  4. 9rockky says:

    DAT POKEMON!!!
    ‘m played too…..

  5. #18 says:

If you can Zett, is it possible to try out the Arcade set of emulators (CPS2PSP, CPS1PSP, and MVSPSP mainly) because that is slightly important to me…

  6. Mad Mike says:

I still can’t understand what ppl see in these homebrew…For me its just piece of ***:) and buying PS Vita for games from Snes or Game Boy is the biggest stupidity in the universe!

    • jd20dog says:

you sir are not a gamer and should never ever git a vita,

there are many other things that ecfw and vhbl can give you over ofw
like playing a game with your language that didn’t come out in your country or quite a few apps that are fun

or play games that don’t cause migraines

      • You're an idiot says:

“you sir are not a gamer and should never ever git a vita”

This sentence already showed how much fail is in your post. Waste of time for anyone to read anything beyond this. F*cking ***.

    • alpmaster says:

Thats your opinion i love Retro Gaming

  7. Nooback says:

Im sure wololo is working for sony making us buy old worthless games

    • hgoel0974 says:

Then don’t buy them. Seriously, have you no idea what you’re talking about?

    • wololo says:

Lol, I just love those conspiracy theorists. If only I could find a way to make money on these gullible people…

I think I’ll open a website, pretend I have a hack available for free, use the opportunity to say that Wololo and everybody at wololo.net are working with Sony and trying to hide the only true Vita hack, get people to fill in a cash survey before they can download my hack, which will actually be a virus 🙂

  8. Maverick81PL says:

so… when will be new exploit???

  9. M says:

Who knows it could be a exploit in vita not in psp emulator.

  10. francis says:

pleeaaaaseeee an exploit dat can run ISO/CSO psp games…. much appreciated..thankssssssssssss muchhhhhhhhhhh….

    • jd20dog says:

      read the other blog post
there wont be a new exploit for a long time, they are limited and mostly used up
those that have the only exploits left don’t want them blocked by sony any time soon

  11. Kyu says:

Over time,I regret upgrading from 2.02…but then I would not be able to get the Jak Trilogy (since I only played III and that was a LOOOOONG time ago).

Also, what is the word on KH HD?

  12. Neo says:

*** the yanks. Get it released for just Europe. If its not going to play isos you may as well.

  13. Axel-25 says:

Kh HD will be released in the fall sucks that there is no vita version.

  14. skpg says:

I believe the Vita will only take off in sales if prices are drastically reduced or if the Vita is fully hacked just like what happened with the PSP.

$250 for a Vita with no game included, no internal memory, no memory card included is clearly a rip off. If you want storage space you have to buy the overpriced proprietary memory card and you can see why sales are low.

A dramatic price drop would be reducing the cost of the memory cards by 60%, lowering the price of the Vita to $199 with an 8gb memory card included, and lowering the retail price for Vita video games to at least $27. Since Sony will not lower the price of the Vita anytime soon, sales will continue to be low. The other alternative to making the Vita less expensive would be a complete hack of the Vita, but Sony really tightened the security for the Vita and hackers are scared of being sued for copyright infringement (I really hate the DMCA law).

Of course would I prefer a dramatic price drop and a complete hack of the Vita.

    • dan says:

you do realize that most of the time you can buy a bundle with a game and a memory card for $250

      • skpg says:

Those $250 deals are becoming more rare, you have to look really hard to find them, it’s not even worth it anyway. VG sales have been down for a long time because of the economic crisis, and given how Sony inflated the cost of the Vita, it’s no surprise that Vita sales are very low.

The PSP wouldn’t have sold over 71 million units world-wide if it was never hacked. The only way the Vita is going to be a success is if Sony drastically reduces prices (which they never will do) or a hack and a mod that makes the Vita cheaper. At least with the 3DS it’s fully backwards compatible with the DS. The Vita’s BC is terrible for the price you pay for the Vita.

        • Rob V. says:

That’s not even close to what’s wrong with the Vita.

You think the Vita being ‘hacked’ will increase it’s sales dramatically or something? You people on this site are definitely delusional.

I bet you 75% of the general public don’t even know what the heck a ‘Vita’ is or that it even exists. They probably just think it’s a PSP. The people that do own a Vita are complaining how it does not have any games that appeal to them. The Vita’s problem has ALWAYS been a marketing issue on Sony’s end. They’re not trying to appeal to the customers and the Vita is treated like the PSP’s *** second cousin.

I own a Vita and I’m perfectly happy with it, but I guess new generation gamers have different standards or something. Everything has to have Call of Duty, Halo or Battlefield included in the list of games to be successful, and the system itself must be hacked. Wow.

          • skpg says:

The Vita isn’t selling well mainly because of two reasons.

            1. The economic crisis, and given how poor hardware sales are, that’s just proof of that.

            2. For a handheld gaming device it’s expensive. It’s $250 with no internal memory, no memory card or game included, well unless you want count the $212 Lego bundle as something decent which it isn’t. Then there is the $250 bundle with a game and 4GB memory card, but in many sites it’s actually sold higher then $250.

Let’s get down to the price. The proprietary memory cards are way overpriced and given with today’s technology, the memory cards should be cheaper, but $100 for a 32GB memory card is a huge rip off. And the only way to play PSP games is to buy the overpriced proprietary memory cards, this is called a hidden cost. Other restrictions such as the mandatory kernel mandates (which prevents any hacking) and CMA are also a hidden cost. I could go on and on with the price of the games, etc but you get the idea. With all those restrictions not only does it inflate the cost of the Vita the customer does not have full control of their Vita.

If the Vita is easy to hack like it was with the DS and PSP, and it curbed prices down, yes sales would improve. If there is any gaming device that deserves to be modded, hacked, and pirated TO DEATH it’s the PS Vita.

          • Rob V. says:

Sony has always been a company that uses it’s own technology. Sony is notorious for this. Sony VAIO laptops are the same way. heck, anything with the Sony logo is like this. That’s just the way Sony is, and that’s how it will always be with them.

The Vita being easy to hack will not increase sales, simply because NOBODY KNOWS WHAT A VITA IS. And that’s adding to the fact that not many people even own a Vita. So guess how many people know about this website? How many people what CFW even is out of that small population of gamers that actually owns a Vita. How many people know about CFW, but don’t care enough to stay on an exploit and give up PSN access and the ability to play games that they actually own because they are locked out? That’s right. Close to none.

So, increase what sales? How will they know if the Vita is hacked? Do they even know what a Vita is, or do they just think it’s a slightly larger PSP? What will they do once Sony updates and blocks access to new games for the 10,0000th time?

I hope the Vita never gets hacked to the point where piracy becomes rampant on it. Gamers should be BUYING games for the Vita and supporting the developers who chose to stick with the Vita, even in these hard times. Devs like XSEED, have been very gracious to even localize anything for this dead system.

          • Rob V. says:

And no, if you believe you could have “full control” over anything with a SONY LABEL on it… you’re f*cking dreaming.

You should either go back to sleep, or wake up and face reality.

          • skpg says:

You keep mentioning advertising, but you are missing the point. Why would Sony advertise the Vita if hardly anyone is buying at it’s current price? Consumers are very aware that the Vita exist, but currently we are an economic crisis and$250 isn’t so much of the issue although the console is also overpriced, it’s the hidden costs such as poor psp backwards compatibility, cma, the memory cards and other restrictions that inflate the cost Vita. Don’t make repeat myself, the reason why Vita is not because of advertising, it’s just Sony inflated the cost of the Vita so much that it turned off consumers.

Regarding full control of your Vita, it’s called “property rights”, you buy something it’s yours. It’s like if you buy a Nike T-Shirt, it’s yours, it’s no longer Nike’s. I can guarantee you have more control over your Sony VAIO then you do with your PS Vita. Property rights can be violated through something called intellectual property (copyrights) such as the DMCA law making it illegal to hack the PS Vita. Sony doesn’t really own any technology because ideas are not property rights, for example a Sony VAIO is build up of parts from different manufacturers. You have no idea what you are talking about, you sound like a corporate sheep.

  15. Jd8531 says:

VHBL can play snes fine. Thats your opinion that its useless, if you dont like it then do buy the game.

  16. Kevin says:

I’ll speak in spanish ’cause I don’t know very much english: @Wololo: Hay más de un exploit/juego conocido?. El único exploit que tengo conocimiento es el que tiene “The Z”.

  19. Yifan Lu says:

I can confirm that the update “improves software stability during use of some features”.

  20. stOneskull says:

i don’t like the wording of:

    ‘use wifi in power-save mode’

does this mean that the wifi will save power and switch off..
or that when the vita is in power-save mode, the wifi will still run?

  21. zorak_torok says:

Im just hoping that they have fixed the facebook errors and cod closes. Im tired of getting 24-4 on a 1 vs 4 match and getting “this software will force close”… Im wondering if its Nihlistic or sony though… my comment is usually *** you nihlistic or something like …. really? Again? when I report it. I guess the little n got it in the end already anyway.

  22. grifis81 says:

one question…i’m still on Monster hunter exploit and it can run isos…so if i want update the last exploit that will be out can run isos???

  23. squiggs says:

what is wrong with you guys if they are patching a problem this is good. you know that If there was a problem that got out in the open you guys would be all over them saying how they do not care about the customer. cant you ever be happy or do you always have to mad at Sony. do not feel so special that every update is about you guys, get over yourselves.

    • Rob V. says:

The people on this site feel that hacking is the only salvation of the Vita. This is why they act this way.

The main problem is actually because of Sony itself. They are not treating the Vita the way it should be treated. It’s getting virtually no attention.

      • Logii says:

I gotta disagree with you… Back in the PSP days I wasnt really a fan of the device and had no intentions on buying one. Then one day a friend of mine showed me him playing Pokemon on his PSP on that huge screen and I was sold… I ran out to buy one immediately, my friend popped in his “Magic battery and Memory stick” and within minutes I was running CFW… From that day on I continued to buy a total of 6 PSPs over its life span with countless possibilities of things to do with it, “co created” a site called “PSPNewb” that was all about CFW and PSP mods and became pretty popular and had alot of people that were hesitant to buy a PSP to rush out an get one aswell. So in all I do believe a simple hack would drastically improve sales… I mean did you know anyone who owned a PSP not running CFW? Didnt think so.

  24. decookaaron says:

I was wondering couldn’t one of the devs use the sony PSM SDK tool to come up with a HBL exploit? Since the publishing license is free now for a time being? Like couldn’t he code something or port something into it? cause I know that I can use other peoples codes and run them on the vita for debugging. but what about makeing a app or a game or something and put it up for free and not let anyone know what it is and then release it later on? Just wondering.

  25. NNNRT says:

I found out what this update did.
Looks like Sony are caring for the browser a lot these days. When you press & hold on an image & select “Save Image,” it gives you a “Please Wait” box. When the box is still open, you can scroll the page with the left analog stick. This wasn’t possible on 2.11 :3

  26. Hedonism says:

I still have the Apache VHBL. If I update will it still work for one on ones Vita?

  27. shadowchildknight says:

Why do we have to use just PS minis for this exploit. And someone please help: Do I need the VHBL for different firmwares? and last question: How else will I be able to play minecraft on Vita?!? I got 2.12 the day before I found out about this!!!

  32. Chaz Bradley says:

Can we see if a Ps1 and N64 emulator will run on this ( 2.12 exploit ) ? i’m new to the subject and just got a ps vita.
