  2. luffy says:

how can i delete isos if i havent removed the ecfw before updating? silly me i forgot to delete the isos now i cant free up enough memory to download ps plus contents .. is formatting the memory card the only way?

    • Adin says:

No, copy all games (except “corrupted” ones) and all non-VHBL/eCFW saves to PC. Format copy over. Stuff is there you can also backup anything else you want to.

    • gunblade says:

think u can use the setting menu to delete the save or the cma on the vita to delete anything else..

  3. wartaf says:

Okay, here the thing. I let go of my precious OFW 1.81 to 2.00, and will there be some ways to play homebrew and ISO in future in 2.00 right? I think should safe for now to update. We heard the news past few days. Frostgater found an exploit.

you miss the files that TN uses on system folder,
the prx files and TN settings, homebrews, plugins,
and isos you are using and save files of TN exploit.
    then you updated.

The Charles proxy method is working great. online games are working and downloading ps+ games works, but we gotta be careful with “buying” games from now on because when they’re released they’ll probably require 2.00

    • McLoven says:

what does charles proxy do for you, cause I have it installed. I read about it somewhere but I didn’t get far so I gave up on it for now.
Also what firmware are you on and how does Charles proxy help you? Cause I asked if there was anyway for me to purchase/download psVita content/games or access PS store whilst staying on FW 1.81 and the response was: NO

      response is open to anyone

      • Dcdoz says:

the charles proxy method does work but takes a bit of effort to get it work, basically spoofs the vita that it is the latest firmware and allows you to access psn with all the ps plus games (definitely works tried it last night). it is said that playing online works also but i haven’t tested that…

  12. AlphaKiloCharlie says:

Couldn’t you just have updated? Or will there be a small portion of the eCFW still there?

I am going to stick with 1.80 for a very logical reason. Do you remember when you updated your PS3 without any rational thought? Then not much later you read an article that states a certain hack that you want only works on a LOWER PS3 FIRMWARE?
My point is that there will be an actual PSVITA CFW soon (not the emulated psp in the vita) And it will probalbly state that it only works on a low firmware. I came to this decision after thoughtlously updating my PS3 to 4.25 and not being able to do not much of anything with it. Remember people to not only read these articles but also to make your own calculated decisions with your own experience. You never know when something super cool will suddenly apear but you wont be able to use it because you updated and cant undo that update. I can only logically assume that since nothing will work that well on a 4.25 PS3, then the same would happen on a 2.0 PSvita hack (not the emulated psp inside the vita, but the whole vita) My I am wrong. My experience tells me that the more you update, the more doors you close as far as an actual full vita system hack. Yes, your right, I have nothing to back up this theory, but I got a gut feeling though years of experience.

well ino what u mean that was the main reason i did not wont to update my vita when the new update came on realses date in the us wy i tried to stick to the 1.67 but then updated to 1.81 i no i heard that they did magore upgrade in 1.81 wy i wished i did stick to the monster hunter but i thought playing ps ones games would be cool but after hearing that the vita side was change magore i wish i dident but okay i guess its fine since i did get to get all the 1.81 minis.. but yea sony upgradeing the vita side while we r on the psp side but i heard that if i dident upgrade on reales date that i could have installed pkg by coping them to the card welll saw a utube on it… but yea i was lucky when i bought my secound vita that it was on 1.81 thinking next time ill jus try get my a lunch bundle but if i had my outher vita i think i would use that one as my ofw vita n have the one i have now for homebrew i guess in 1.81 to add the psx support they had to make room for it i guess even the button function they add probly need rooom n even is a security for the vita notice they even took thing out from the setting menu in 1.81 ..

  14. coog_cool says:

  15. yobib34 says:

what are the ps+ games..? and is it for free?
it will help me decide if i should update or not….tnx

    • gunblade says:

with plus they had like 4 vita game n a psp game n two minis i think vita game were uncharted gravity crush or rush the vita one with the gurl n ur jumping n flying around and they had wipeout n sum outher game but there all like above 1500 mb so i think u should have like more then an 8 gig card cuz i have almost no room on mines.. ooh n they had final fantasy tactics for the psp.. cant remember the minis but i put them on my vita jus like a week ago n iam on 1.81…

  16. Fantomphox says:

i just used pspftp and deleted the files manually then closed the homebrew. seemed to work faster.

  17. quetz says:

i really don’t see how this ps+ could be more interesting than ecfw… i think i’ll stay in 1.81 ’til new kxploit gets out! for having this famous card games for free and some nip more? no way, i’d rather play my favourite rpg’s in pspemu all again instead of update for stupid games made for this console…

  18. huz says:

i have 2.00 Gravity Crash with VHBL ecfw exploit.
but ps vita 1.81 usb can’t block cmd with that sign acount .
was vhbl work ftp:// and weeks later happen ftp:// fail error.
resart miss format memory lose ps vhbl.

  19. DQEight says:

I deleted my isos from tnmenu then went into psp filer and deleted the folders it left over from other homebrew, then i deleted the iso folder, went back to tn menu and removed filer

  20. Chris says:

Since I still got my PSP-2000, there is no reason at all to stick to eCFW/VHBL. I’ll keep my Vita up to date (PS+ freebies inclusive) until there’s native homebrew on the system using all of its hardware features.

    • gunblade says:

u should have keep it on like 1.81 the ps+ freebies r great but i think if the game download is going to be like 2 gig each then i would rader buy the game cards so wy i think i going be buying alot of vita game card n i was able to download the plus games n still stick to 1.81 but up to u i realy wish i stick to my 1.67 firmware or even my 1.50 firmware realy wish i did with the 1.50..

  21. Josh says:

Wth lol, i didn’t uninstall anything and updated. Is something wrong?

    • gunblade says:

did that with 1.81 dont think anything wrong i guess i think they was just thinking cuz if ur on 2.0 an cant run a vhbl the iso n homebrew would still be wea u left it wen on ecfw

  22. psh posh says:

    Nope it is all good!

  23. E says:

Ugh, I am still not sure what to do! Playing DBZ: Tag Team is SOO much cooler on my Giant Vita screen that on my PSP

  24. BallsDEEP says:

Go to the recovery mode screen settings and wipe your vita clean from there to avoid bricks!
