SKFU’s V.I.T.A. contest: suggest ideas for a vita app and win a game
I’m super late on this one, as I was busy dealing with VHBL this week. Famous PS3/Vita developer SKFU, in association with his fellow dev iQD started an “idea contest” for apps related to the Vita. The concept is simple: post an idea for a PS Vita related application, and the best idea will win the game Blazblue Continuum Shift Extended for the PS Vita, as well as a vita protection bag.
My personal guess/hint for those of you who want to participate: suggest something doable, probably on the PC side (to interact with the vita) rather than on the vita side (I don’t know what SKFU’s intent is here, but I’m pretty sure suggesting to code a CFW is not what they will categorize as a “good” idea)
You have until April 1st to submit your idea (I told you I was late…), so this gives you roughly two days to come up with something good, details here.

create a website where we can download psvita DEMOS with the use of pc and copy it on vita. For those who does’nt have or few wifi spots on their country it would help alot to test the game before buying it. Thanks

I want something that can make the home screen of the Vita look like the home screen of the PSP (kind of like CXMB for the PSP cfw) I much prefer the PSP Home over the Vita Home.
I think that a cool app would be to have a video player be able to take flash videos and convert them to a playable format on Vita. Just like the Skyfire browser for iPhone does. Or another idea for an app would be to create a combined app for trophies, party, the PSN Store, and the other ones so we don’t have separate apps that we have to launch. And one last idea for the Vita would be to have an app to kill tasks and to remove unnecessary programs, for example photos and music and the others… if you don’t use them
An app that can play android games would be cool. 😀

Desktop Remote screen like Splashtop for the androids.

Audio Recorder
3rd:
Music listener to grab the song and show you the info like Shazam or Soundhound on Android or iPhone.

Photo Editor that could possibly utilize the front and back touch pad some how.
5th:
Drawing/paining just like SketchBook Mobile that allows you to go in full drawing as well as painting detail.
Theirs a lot you can do with a touch screen 🙂
Bad thing I don’t use facebook (for good reason), so I can’t participate. But just to make a point:
Give the game and the bag to anyone else, but please give me a screen capturing app. Doesn’t matter if it’s something like RemoteJoyLite for the PSP or an app that records the footage right from your Vita to your Memory Stick. That is the only thing I am waiting for. And I think, I am not the only one (especially on Youtube).
I also know that the possibility to code something like that soon is low at the moment. But just dreaming of it should be okay, right? 😀

Perhaps a better browser or at least an app to see videos on youtube would be nice, those are my only 2 complaints with the ps vita. Also maybe you will want to use the official sony sdk instead of doing it on hbl ^^

Wow great prizes i was about to go out a pick up Blazblue and a PDP case, i think i’ll hold on for now knowing there is a chance i can win it. :D. Well first off Youtube,Netflix as apps don’t need to be made Sony has to make those 100%.I would like to see a Ps3 controller pairing app for the vita so it makes it much more easier to pull off combos in UMVC3 and Blazblue :D.Second i would suggest Twitch.tv app its a great place for people who enjoy game can come and watch the pros go at each other for motivation.Third but not least App that let you change filters of games EX. ps button hold down allows you to change to Bilinar filter it would be nice if we can get different filters to choose from Ex. HQ3SX filter is one of the best looking filters for emulator imagine it on ps vita for all apps and games :D.
an app to multi task better or control the volume of the game because some games dont have that in the menu or one to copy the information from the sd like card games like the UMD ripper … or something like that maybe one to control your computer because that is fun
you guys should be posting these ideas to their facebook page and not here…
i guess the best app would be a massenger clint porting services such as[skype,ymail,gmail] that can allow video chat and pics & file exchange.
also porting a phone would be a crazy idea
last but not least it would be fun if we can use [IOS or andrioed apps as well.
all my ideas are considered to be a dream at the time being 😛
do an Opera/Firefox/Chrome mobile to the Vita, make it that will fake the device as Android 😀 it seems do-able on the PC right?
please create an app that can transfer files from Vita to PC, and vice versa, faster.
I’m confused, can SKFU make and run an app for Vita or it is just a PC app for Vita?
You can create a website that could have different sections, and one section could be to play flash games, another could be to watch videos, another section could be a messenger type where you can check your email, go on sites etc.., and the last section could be pictures, people could post different pictures on the site. It’s a good idea, people going on the site to check their email, watch different videos, play some games and scroll through pictures. I believe people would enjoy it. I never saw an app like this so this would be the only app, i believe it dosnt require piracy for the app, and It’s not an extension or an update from any app. In my opinion I believe that his app would be good.
The only thing i can think of that might be doable and be cool to have would be to make A video streaming app that can receive a video stream from a pc running something like maybe vlc player. Perhaps create something similar to an android app called VLC Direct Pro with possibly the added feature of streaming to other vita?
