SKFU Finds a flaw in the PS Vita encryption mechanism
Developer SKFU says today he found a problem in the PS Vita’s encryption functions which allowed him to decrypt some test files, “directly via the system” (hu, does he mean that the Vita decrypts the files for him, and he manages to retrieve the decrypted version???). His blog post doesn’t say anything technical about the flaw or how he found it, but he said he would update his blog when he has more info to share. Stay tuned.
Source SKFU, thanks to Omega Zero for the tip
Excellent…Attack vectors coming from multiple people now.
hmm ridge racer??
It’s pretty obvious dude.
I agree. It’s obvious. Maybe we shouldn’t have this images posted? We don’t want to have any hints for Sony. I’m no dev so this could mean nothing as far as I know.
I think Mr Wololo knows what he’s doing.
Probably he found a method to do so, otherwise this would be a major error, and that wouldn’t be SKFU style 🙂
go go contact skfu .. XD
As far as I understand the pics above only show that Vita’s Ridge Racers was decrypted by some of Vita’s build in functions.
