i got a smartphone of nearly the same price of that of vita.
i prefer smartphones over it as they give u more features ,apps and independence.

  2. svenn says:

The “stop-touching-me” console … no thx, i’d stick with my lame java gaming mobile and a dedicated tower pc.

On both I got more games and more freedom.

  3. MitMakis says:

Preorder? No. At Launch? No. 1-2 years after? Yeah.

  4. Joe says:

I Want to say I won’t buy a vita…..but look at that lineup! It looks like a strong start for software.

  5. L-over says:

meaning you can *by* a Japanese PS Vita and play American or European games on it.

    its buy…

  6. oxMUDxo says:

Only if you make a new Wagic game for it after it gets hacked.

  7. Guardian says:

GIVE ME THE HACK AND I’LL GET THE VITA!
MAKE THE VITA OPEN SOURCE AND GIVE IT FOR FREE! How about that?

  8. Dman49 says:

I heard that the Japanese versions will have the X and O buttons reversed, not so good for importers, and definately enough to hold me off for a few months.

    • Norml says:

I use that hack already on the PSP, the real issue will revolve around the language barrier and other issues that will arise.

  9. ramiro1398 says:

I dont think i will get onee!

  10. hitman says:

I just sold my PSP. I hope I can get one once it’s out here.

  11. Shinny says:

Well it looks great… but im boycotting sony… so NO….. it will end up like PSP…. first 2 years it will be a blast… but then they will hack it and bye bye good games… SO IM NOT BUYING IT =/

  12. Marthinus says:

    Day1 buy for me

  13. ken says:

    I’ll ….. buy one ……. eventually 🙂 🙂 🙂
No preorder or first day for me.

  14. Sandeshnep says:

You did kinda say that u werent buying the vita… I know, I thought of the same thing. But the games look very impressive and the vita itself seems like an awesome piece of hardware. Ill probably decide whether to buy one after I read some reviews. But the real question is wololo, are you buying one?

  15. Lorz says:

meh, don’t really need one, yeah it looks impressive, but I’m still boycotting Sony, and to be honest, I’m more of a PC gamer anyway(any console pales in comparison imo), my PSP functions mainly as a portable emulator, this thing would just fill the same role, so why bother if what I already have already does what I need?

  16. jake_dude435 says:

just a thought here, but the vita is supposed to be able to play psp games downloaded to the memory stick from the psn via pc usb, or ps3 usb, or the psn store on the vita.
whats to stop it from playing signed psp homebrews added to the memory card from pc usb?
games like wagic should, in theory, work from day 1. am i right?
i don’t know for sure but it is definitely worth thinking about.

    • wololo says:

I believe they will use a different encryption mechanism. PSP games will not work “out of the box” on the Vita IMO…

even if Sony has a “buy once, play on all machines” type of campaign, you would still need to download one version for the PSVita and one version for the PSP. That’s how I would do it if I were Sony, given the circumstances.

      • Jake_dude435 says:

I totally see where your coming from wololo, but I remember there being a post on IGN, i think, that the vita would be able to play ALL the psp games including demo’s and some of the mini’s from the psn store, day 1. (when have we known sony to be punctual?)
also not all psp games would support ad-hoc (sounds like an emulation glitch)

plus one of its major selling points is the large amount of psn integration, so they could easily treat vita’s homebrewers like they treat the ps3’s homebrewers.
narrow us down to offline signed homebrew and no lcw/cfw, make it inconvenient for us.

        I’m sorry, I rambled…
Main point: I am not trying to argue this, I’m not saying “your wrong”, I’m not trying to “show you up”, I’m not trying to be rude or mean in any way, I’m just saying,
we shouldn’t count it out until its a proven by system-in-hand-test, failure.

Wagic is my third favorite game, if there is a small chance it will work on the vita day 1, even without support for any of the new features like touchscreen, shouldn’t it at least be tried?

and also, if you where sony, the circumstances probably wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

  17. flayer says:

Well, it looks pretty cool but i sure as heck can’t afford one.

  18. 指纹 says:

The hardware seems attractive, but Im afraid I can’t afford one until I get my job.

  19. 指纹 says:

Oh I have to say that I hate my acount img, it seems like I am always complaining about sth…

  20. Jules says:

Definitely a day-one purchase for me. It looks way too cool to pass up. This right here is the future of portable gaming.

And why no TGS coverage from you, Wololo?

  21. PSPScene says:

I thought we were protesting Sony, and not getting a Vita, or did we just scrap that idea?

    • Lorz says:

No offense, but where in the article does it say he is getting one?

Being a tech based blog, he will probably cover news of the PS Vita, atl;east to some degree, but it doesn’t mean he’s buying one.

    • wololo says:

I’m gonna resist buying one. But I’ll definitely blog about it, I’m sure of that

  22. Laguna says:

I will buy one if the price drops to half :p maybe after 2 years.

  23. StriderHien says:

i’ll wait, wait and see if it’s a mega flop before buying it…
i still remember whasting 50 euros on flop games like spore…

  24. sony can kiss my ass says:

the only reason for me to buy psvita is if somebody hacked it and then somebody else made a n64 emu for it XD

    other wise NO!!

i rather spend the money on a new pc (mine is around 6 years old) than wasting it on a console that has SONY on it (sony boycott).

  25. cscash241 says:

GRRRRR!! its not coming out till ,arch in the US but im going to get it on release date in the us

  26. John says:

If I want to play uncharted, I’ll do it on my ps3 at home.

There’s not a single game out right now that makes me want to buy the device.

If Mr. Kojima decides that he wants another portable metal gear, though…

I fully expect to not buy it at all, or get it for $50 when it flops (not if; when), but only assuming it’s hacked by then, so I can run homebrews on it. The 3DS was a failure because it had no decent games out for it early, and smartphones are becoming increasingly popular (and better) at providing the “portable” gaming experience.

Not sure about everyone else, but while uncharted is an awesome game, I just don’t see how it can provide the “short bursts of play” that portable gaming require. And if I am expected to sit and play a game for a couple hours, well then that’s what my home console is for. Buying such a device “for long trips” seem hardly worth my money when the PSP fills that role perfectly already.

  27. rafael707 says:

Im importing a vita if the price is under $400 USD, if your a cheap ***, get a better job, stop the whinning !

  28. Joseph says:

Any link… to site to the preorders??, to get 1… maybe, en el lanzamiento.

  29. weswelker6 says:

Why do i need a vita the 3DS has games like zelda Ocarina of Time 3D, mario 3D Land, mario kart 7, resident evil, luigis mansion 2, animal crossing 3d, pokemon rumble blast, harvest moon tale of two towns, super street figher 4 3d edition, kid icuras uprising, metal gear solid and plus 3DS is getting a second circle pad so dual circle pads and good graphics(with 3D) vita is awesome but i’ll wait two years so i could get hacks like the psp
