Sony’s E3: NGP Renamed PSVita, and will have Street Fighter X Tekken
I’ve been out of the loop for the news regarding the NGP… rumors said it would be renamed the PS Vita, and today’s conference from Sony at E3 confirms that. They’re also showing some impressive games as I type, such as Little Big Planet, or Street Fighter X Tekken.
Looks fairly cool. I’m in my Sony boycotting phase, but I must say this upcoming device is very impressive.
am I the only one who liked the name “NGP” better than PSVita?

NGP/PSP2 is PSV/PlayStation Vita.

Definitely, PSVita sounds (and looks) horrible.However,NGP is not that much better IMHO.
play station vita, most stupid name ever. sounds like a fruit drink to me. you know, those ones which are supposed to make you feel vital.
also, people will call it the psv which is a soccer team in my country. and if you hate this team is there a chance you won’t buy it just because of the name. who makes a console and call it after a soccer team?!

anyway, i am on a sony boycott too and the only way to get me to buy this thing is if somebody hacks it (to play n64 games on it).
“Vita”, as we see, translates to “life”. So…is Sony claiming that end-users will never be able to live without this device?
I think they would’ve been better off with “NGP”.

sony needs to name name the ps4 (ps4 vita) which would translate to sony 4 life. Also I like electronics so i’m not boycotting and I fear that all this hacking might push through restrictive internet laws.
I heard that the name vita stands stands for life so im guessing another name could playstation life
Playstation Life/Life with playstation is a feature on the PS3, so they couldn’t name it that
PSLife is way better, Vita reminds me of that lame *** Fiesta car name, anyways this thing will have the new Mortal Kombat also according to what the makers said before the console versions came out. That’s something to be happy about, now we just need MVC2 and MVC3.
“I’m in my Sony boycotting phase” still with you on that one, Sony has 0 security and sues their customers and making them know their hardware that they bought is basically a rental inwhich they’ll take away what ever features they want. All while not backing the same hardware and complaing publicly about piracy losing devs.
