PSP Genesis competition: new sponsors raise the prizes to 4300$!
I am excited to announce that I’ve been contacted by pspgen.com and exophase.com who kindly offered to become sponsors for the PSP Genesis competition.
If you don’t know yet, this competition is the biggest PSP homebrew competition ever. We have the major PSP news websites sponsoring the event, and the prizes are insane (now more than 4300$)!
Pspgen.com are offering a total of 1000$ with a new prize: they will give respectively 500$, 300$, and 200$ to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best homebrews as voted by their members. (I’ll give more details on this when I confirm with Magixien, but I assume they will organize a kind of vote on the pspgen forums).
Exophase.com add 100$ to the first prize, now making it an impressive 1700$ in cash for the best homebrew of the competition.
pspgen.com and exophase.com are joining forces with the other sponsors of the event, psp-hacks.com, pspslimhacks.com, wololo.net, and indie developer npt, to provide the most impressive PSP Homebrew contest ever.
If you have a project that was in serious need of update, now’s the good time to get your old psp phat out of your drawer. If you kept telling yourself “I need a good reason to start programming on the PSP”, this contest is THE reason! If you were making slow progress on your homebrew because you lacked motivation, there’s your reason! The deadline for your entries is May, 15th, there’s plenty of time for you to produce something awesome! We’re looking forward to seeing what the scene can bring to our beloved console!
Rules and more info on the contest’s page here
nice!
Second¡¡¡¡¡¡
wouldnt it be nice it tn submited a hen that gave iso support i think then he would win the comp.
i’d rather have homebrew
I’m sorry, but I couldn’t agree less.
this just made my day..
I hope they develop non-piracy related homebrew. Anyway I bet if there where more contests like this you could just make a homebrew company 🙂
I’m sure ALL of the homebrew will be non-piracy related. Wololo doesn’t support piracy.
aah, this is cool 😀
the better the prizes
the better the motivation
the better the homebrew
the better for ME 😀
ps:
what about CaveStory?
technicly, its a port not a homebrew, isnt it?
I am expecting as news will spread, more and more will join and at the end it will become a huge competition with insane prize money.

wololo, the second “update” for the 6.35PRO-A was released..

Man someone needs to make a PCFW (Permanent Custom Firmware) for the PSP 3000 and Go models. That’ll be an automatic win. (if its voted for)
I certainly would not vote for this. every version up to 6.35 can have piracy today, and HBL is sure to make homebrew support for 6.36 and up. So why would you want a CFW ?
This competition is about homebrew, games, applications, … not about supporting more piracy!
A new video-player would probably get my vote!
i have senseme on my prometheus 4.. how about the comic viewer.. hmmm that’s piracy I guess. not homebrew. i thought liquidzigong will release it?
