This is the download page for Wagic, the homebrew. Wagic is an internationally acclaimed open source Trading Card Game simulation, made by card games fans and backed up by a large community of players and modders. The project has been active since 2008 and supports a massive amount of cards. Wagic is especially adapted to mobile devices (PSP, iPhone, iPad, Android,…) but also works on Windows and Linux PC. Wagic works on Windows, Linux, the nokia N900 (maemo), the Nokia N9 (meego), Android (tablets and phones), iOS(iPhone/iPad/iPad2) and the Sony PSP (Wagic does not require you to hack your PSP).
The current version is version 0.18.6
Each release is extensively tested on several machines including my own PSP/Computer/Android phone. However Wagic is a work in progress so please check the buglist.

Updating Wagic
PSP/Windows
If you have version 0.16.1 or lower, it is recommended that you erase your current Wagic install and reinstall from scratch. Go to our forums for detailed help on how to keep your progress
If you have version 0.17.0 or higher, follow these steps:
- IF you have mods: It is recommended that you delete all mods from your current Wagic install
- Erase all files named core_*.zip in your Res folder (Note: this is not compulsory but strongly recommended for performance reasons)
- Simply extract the zip into your existing Wagic installation folder, in order to overwrite the current binary (EBOOT.PBP on the PSP, and Wagic.exe on windows). You’re done
Android
- If you have version 0.17.1 or lower, first uninstall your current installation of Wagic (in “Manage applications”)
- It is strongly recommended to delete all “core_*.zip” files from your current Wagic installation. This is not done automatically! Keeping these files should not prevent the game from running, but could yield weird results and will be bad for performance
- Once the two previous steps are done, install the Wagic apk like you would install any other third party application
If your android refuses to install a new version of Wagic, please make sure that you uninstalled the previous version. We had to change out certificates recently (in 0.18.0) which prevents Android from installing wagic 0.18 over a previous 0.17 install.

If you get an error complaining about MSCVP100.dll missing you probably need to install the following Visual++ package from microsoft here. If you still have problems, check the forum thread

The Android and iOS port of Wagic are still very early releases and we are aware that they are not perfect. If you’re a dev and think you can help making this project even better, please contact us!
Linux Version
We don’t officially support the linux version, it is distributed here for convenience. However if you have issues running Wagic on *nix, ask for help on the forums, you might be lucky and a good soul could have an answer for you

Hey. I saw a video om youtube telling me how to go to your website and down load the patapon 2 exploit and the demo but i cant find the demo on your website or anywhere on the web for that matter. Do you know where i could find the demo required?

I have one question: is it normal that when you start in the WTH 0.12.1 a normal game, which the music goes away? I use rev.95downloading it now i have seen it and now i can’t wait to play it

there is some freezing hear and there Iv had but in all its great I do have a ? for ya it might not be something 2 ask hear sense this is mostly about psp stuff but could you port this over to the wii .. in all I do wish cards could have pics on them not the same as how magic did it maybe then they cant get on ya 4 it i dont know much about that stuff but it be nice to see if it could be internet played with other people just wishes I would hope for but love what i see now ty..this is the best PSP game i’v ever played, so addicting and fun its not even funny!

Ok, I downloaded Wagic, and I can play it just fine on my PC, but trying to put it on my psp has been a failure everything I try. Specifically, what custom firmware do I need to use to be able to make Wagic work? Everything I’ve downloaded works until I go into my psp and try to install the firmware, and it says “Data Corrupted”
@Jorgasm: how to hack your psp depends on the model and the firmware of your PSP. I suggest you go to Underground psp dedicated websites such as psp-hacks.com to get user friendly on the subject.
If you psp is a 1000 or a hackable 2000, you can use a pandora kit.
If you PSP is a 3000 or a unhackable 2000 with firmware 5.03 or less, you can use chickHEN.

@Flight: this youtube video is 7 months old. If it were true, don’t you think it would be widely known by now?
I’ve used 0.11.1 and 0.10.1 without any issues. However, 0.12.1 has the issue where when I use a key, it jumps 3 positions instead of 1.
e.g. the initial menu, it jumps from Play to Options with 1 press of the right button. Is there a setting in the options file for this?@opal : reinstall the game, and don’t install it over any previous installation. This is a problem with your settings file basically. This is a typical problem that occurs when installing 0.12.1 over 0.10 or 0.11
am i able to delete a card from this game on my psp? this card that my opponent always gets “you control other creatures” it bloody shits me to tears
@skilgannon: yes. Edit the file Res/sets/primitives/mtg.txt with a text editor, and remove the card from there.

@wololo i have a pspgo 6.20 r100 and i have been playing wagic alot lately after just learning how to play it about two weeks ago, but today and yesterday when i play for about 10 minutes it turns off my psp. i havent done anything new to my psp or put any new homebrews on in that time so i dont know whats wrong. it doesnt bother me too much its just a bit annoying having to go through patapon to play it again and i thought you might know i nifty little trick or something that might help. cheers

I’ve been playing the Wagic version 0.7.1 for a long time (over a year since ive downloaded it). Currently i have 3 decks n use (Boy! its hard to stack up the cards you need).
Some glitches then i’ve learned to circumvent (what with the crashes and all – especially when i “SHOP”). Some glitches actually helped (a lot!) like the “eternal” PIT TRAP that doesnt need the (2) mana activation and no sacrifice needed. (hehehe) won me much of the needed cash.
But also, some cards like Weakness doesnt trigger the -2/-1 penalty on the bigger critters. and soooomme issues that is too complicated to discuss here.But in all, everything is great, with my love of the classic game and the chance to play the deck constructions with cards i’ve failed to have then.
Just downloaded the latest version, and untill i’ve played it for a couple of turns…well, i still think i’ll love It!

Does the recent version (WTH 0.11.1) I’m now using does’nt really show the card art??
Maybe i do…cuz i dont read the forums like the better men out there… i just need a quick fix plizzz…. coz part of the WTH enjoyment i have is lookin at the card art i did not get my hands on when i was still a mumbling nerd playing the CCG version. **mumble mumbe**
@Ewokxz: for legal reasons, we don’t provide the card art in Wagic. You’ll have to find it by yourself. google is your friend.
Man, I just want to thank you and everyone who’s worked on this game. I’ve always wanted to have a MTG sim where you can play while also buying/collecting cards. This has to be one of the best games for the psp.

You know what…. I’m drooling …. why? coz I’ve just reached my 10,000th game on WAGIC!…how did i know??…the title screen bullpen-cum-rolling-credit-like – horizontally information- whatever that is- says so… “You’ve played 10, 021 games”…. imagine that…. well after filling up all the expansions with the card arts…. i just cant stop….
I also tried my hand at entering some card creation in the mix. but i have a problem. [btw im no programmer, so please dont kill me]…. when i inputted my card in the game…will it show up as already part of my card collection or do i have to wait it up to appear in the store section? [again i'm not reading the forum sections...too tired ...need to play more Wagic]
I love you guys… and i’m sucking up to you coz really i love this game…. beats out ant 5-star rating game out there.
P.S. i have about 12 [maybe more] “Youre PSP has Crashed!” messages from the time i begun playing version 11. Is that good??

“Your psp has crashed” messages happen once in a while, it’s better to have those than a Freeze, because at least you can go back to the XMB.Regarding card creation: if you added the card in an existing set that you already unlocked (for example, 10E), it should be available for you in the shop (not directly in your collection, you still have to buy it). If you created a new set, you will have to unlock it before that card can be available to you in the shop.

I happen to have lots (read: tons!) of card creations i did way back from the late 90`s on our MTG playing days – all crated just for kicks, now i love to match it up with todays expansions…. buuuutttt..!! I’m lazy, so can anyone help me with ‘encoding’ it into cards for Wagic?…err for free? ehehehe
Also, how could i create an A.I. opponent using the cards i created? a nice direct link at the forums that can help will do…..

Well… I downloaded content from this page previously using IE when needed and avoiding Firefox. But now I was unable to do it, including IE. @wololo, could it be a problem in a firewall? I connect to internet through an institutional connection, which use some kind of firewall.
Sorry for the double post, but is seriously strange… I am downloading wagic using IE, after some unsuccesful tries. Is really strange.
