Programming Wagic is a fun hobby and I do it for myself, not for money. I use donations to cover hosting costs, the rest (if any) will probably be spent in a present for my wife.

Most of the donations received in 2008-2009 have been sent to the Red Cross, thanks a lot to everyone who donated so far

There is no specified amount for donations, everything helps, really. Also remember that if money is a concern, there are other ways to help (bug reports, etc…)
