I spoke too soon. The PSP Firmware 5.51 has been released, and, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet, it probably fixes the Kernel exploit of the Chikhen. Actually, it’s probably the only thing it does. What took you so long, Sony?
I now it won’t prevent noobs from doing the mistake, but if you like homebrews, don’t upgrade.

surely sony will do this.Is the kernel exploit of chikhen DAVEE’s? so how dose sony find it ? is not it said that DAVEE’s kernel expolit is known only by DAVEE himself?

Once Davee released the chickHen, all Sony engineers had to do was revert-engineer the chickhen to understand where the vulnerability was in their code, then fix it.

ye it took a while for this to be released… i have a feeling this is more than just a patch for the kernel exploit…
P.S. psp go! will prob have a firmware higher than 5.51
