Wizards of the Coast recently released some more information about the upcoming Shards of Alara set. Some of the new abilities look quite exciting, and seemed so easy to integrate into Wagic that I couldn’t refrain myself and played a little bit with the code.
In this video, I’m giving a try at the “Exalted” ability, which is really cool !
Check WoTC’s visual spoilers for a better view of the cards
Hey wololo,
Your program is progressing nicely. I like the special effects you’ve done!

Do you have a higher quality version of the movie to download somewhere? The youtube one is really blurry. Thanks.

Awesome :p
woah.. nice tapping mana effect, laying land, summoning effect
cool add menu
The hand background shows up the hand nicelyT.T interrupt interface looks unchanged though.
So.. from this video we can derive that there will be more cards! OH YEA!
I can see alot of new graphical changes. What is “test suite”?After look through the video.. I was wondering.. would a cursor be better for Wagic?
I don’t think so. Cursor is a pain to control on the psp.

I notice you appear to be treating Exalted as a static ability instead of a triggered ability. Is that because you can’t yet make it work as a triggered ability, or because you thought it was a static ability?
502.83. Exalted
502.83a. Exalted is a triggered ability. “Exalted” means “Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, that creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.”
502.83b. A creature “attacks alone” if it’s the only creature declared as an attacker in a given combat phase. See rule 306.5.This means two things. Firstly, an opponent can play instant-speed actions in response to the Exalted trigger going on the stack (e.g. “I kill your creature before it can get the bonus!”), and secondly, if an effect puts a creature into play attacking, it won’t affect the fact that your normally attacking creature got bonuses from Exalted.
Just trying to help.
Looks Good Man! Keep up the good Work on this.
as far as the main “play area” layout i suggest a gridding to utilize space better.. column the lands/dual-lands on the left, put creatures on 2 top rows, use next row for artifacts, enchantments and special lands (artifact land?)
L1 L2 L3 L4 ….. C1 C2 C3 C4 ……
L1 L2 L3 L4 ….. C5 C6 C7 C8 …….
L1 L2 L3 L4 ….. A1 A2 Ent Ent ……
L1 L2 L3 L4 …… SpL SpLKEY: L#= land of 1 type C#= creature
A#= artifact Ent= enchantmant
SpL= special lands (Maze of Ith, Iceflow, Stripmine, Mishra’s factory, etc)this is just an idea….i always feel a little cramped….
i think there will be enough space especially if you are able to program an “overlap” of the L# cards , that way maybe 6-8 can exist in each column. i keep having the problem of having X lands in 1st row and then starting a 2nd row, but only able too see top of card when playing current alpha
the same could even work for other “same/like” cards except where and enchantment/”counter” effect (i.e. something that differentiates from base card/stats) this may save space in the long run provide the deck is not stacked with single copies of cards (i build decks around a theme or mechanic and increase the probability by multiple copies)
by the way..off topic…are you going to incorporate a tournament rules setup? will you eventually have limited (i.e one card only)/banned cards or will this be open/free? i ask because it will become one-sided/uneven soon with the power stacking of some cards (dual lands come to mind)
